00:00To the defensive rookie of the year market, though, Joe,
00:02Abdul Carter sits again at top.
00:04I think he is by far the best defensive player from this past draft class.
00:07I think he is super special.
00:09I think the fact that they're going to struggle to double team him
00:11because the defensive line offers up Dexter Lawrence,
00:14one of the 45 best players in this league,
00:16offers up Brian Burns, offers up Kayvon Thibodeau.
00:19But it's a really short number, right?
00:21Like my, you'll love this.
00:23I stole from your playbook a little bit, you and MC.
00:26I put it with Ahmed Rosario, a two-plus hit run RBI,
00:30an Abdul Carter parlay is somewhere sitting in one of my accounts.
00:34Who outside of Abdul Carter do you feel yourself gravitating to?
00:38Two players.
00:39They're both on the same team.
00:41Actually, I have two on the same team and then Michael Williams.
00:44I told you how I feel about Michael Williams.
00:46And that defensive front for San Francisco, 11-1,
00:50I think he has the potential to be that Jared Verce type of player.
00:54He's going to have to force double teams.
00:55He's a big body.
00:56He's great in terms of run support.
00:58Michael Williams, for me, is the guy.
01:01But then Walter Nolan and Will Johnson, for me, 30-1 and 25-1.
01:06We see Will Johnson locking down Marvin Harrison Jr.
01:10in practice and just his ability to be that guy.
01:13Multiple teams passed up on him because he was hurt
01:16and they didn't know what they were going to get.
01:18Well, he is clearly one of the best cornerbacks coming out right now
01:23and at 25-1, you know how I feel about Arizona.
01:26I'm all in, and Walter Nolan's another factor as well.
01:30I am.
01:31So we've talked about this in the defensive player of the year market,
01:34how last year Pat Sertain won.
01:36Could we start to see the secondary get a little bit more credit
01:40in that market overall?
01:41I wonder if at all could that bleed into defensive rookie of the year?
01:47And if so, Pat Sertain's new teammate, Jody Barron, is interesting at 20-1.
01:51Here's what I'll say about Barron.
01:54He is probably going to get targeted a lot
01:57because nobody wants to throw against Pat Sertain.
01:59So he might give up a lot of yards.
02:01It is going to give him an opportunity for a decent interception total.
02:06And sometimes it's just a number like that
02:09that's enough to catch attention potentially.
02:12I think you can make a similar argument for a player you like.
02:14I know in Baltimore, Malachi Starks is going to be out there
02:18ball hawking alongside Kyle Hamill.
02:20Yeah, absolutely.
02:21When you have safeties that fly to the football and they tackle,
02:24you need the stats, though.
02:26You need the interceptions.
02:27You need the fumble recoveries on top of the team's success.
02:31That's why I'm taking a shot.
02:32I think Arizona's going to be a sleeper.
02:34Yeah.
02:35Ultimately, though, I still would be pretty surprised
02:37if it wasn't Abdul Carter.
02:39But time will tell.
