00:00Lil Nas X is in a heap of trouble.
00:03He has been hit with four felonies.
00:06He could face years in prison
00:09for allegedly attacking cops during a crazy run-in.
00:14A crazy run-in, which we told you about this,
00:16that it happened early Thursday morning
00:18in the San Fernando Valley.
00:19We, since then, have gotten new video that shows...
00:22Nude video.
00:23New nude video.
00:26Initially, we had seen him walk in
00:27in his tighty-whities and his cowboy boots,
00:29but at some point, those came off as well
00:32and this video shows him completely naked
00:35as these were just bystanders...
00:38This is before where he was wearing the tighty-whities.
00:40Right.
00:41He allegedly charged cops
00:44and, according to the L.A. County District Attorney,
00:48injured three of them.
00:50It appears three because he's been hit with three charges
00:53of a battery on a cop with injury.
00:56I wonder what...
00:57We don't know just from the charging,
00:59what the injuries were.
01:02Yeah, what he did.
01:03You would think, how much could he do in that condition?
01:08But we don't have any...
01:09We don't have body cam video yet of the actual competition.
01:11You could do plenty if he charged him
01:12and hit him or whatever.
01:14But there's a fourth charge of resisting a peace officer.
01:18So there are four felonies that he faces.
01:21And again, he could go to prison for this.
01:23He is currently, as we do the show right now,
01:26so he's in jail.
01:28He's in custody.
01:29Spent the whole weekend in jail.
01:31But he is waiting for his hearing today,
01:34where we presume he will bail out.
01:38And presumably he'll plead...
01:40He's going to plead not guilty.
01:41He's going to plead not guilty.
01:42Right.
01:43And, you know, it's weird.
01:45Why didn't they charge him with indecent exposure?
01:48I don't know.
01:48I mean, maybe they just felt at that point
01:50it was such a minor...
01:51I don't know.
01:52I mean, usually...
01:53That's the clear.
01:54That's like the obvious charge.
01:55Usually they do.
01:56And I don't know why they didn't.
01:57And they could add it.
01:59Right.
01:59But the weird thing about this is
02:01we were checking the jail records beginning Friday.
02:06And it looked like he was only charged with one misdemeanor.
02:09Which is that we were going,
02:10why is he being held without bail?
02:12Held without bail over the entire weekend.
02:15Remember, he was arrested Thursday morning.
02:16I think there's a potential that one of the officers was injured
02:20when he charged at him.
02:22Because that's what police said.
02:23So why didn't the jail records reflect a felony?
02:27Because...
02:27Originally, on Friday, when we were looking at this.
02:29Originally, when we covered this originally,
02:34for some reason, the Sheriff's Department listed it as a misdemeanor.
02:39That's what we were trying to figure out.
02:40I just have no idea.
02:42I mean, if he charged the cops and somebody got injured,
02:45it seems to me...
02:47They would have known that...
02:49Right then.
02:49On Thursday.
02:50Right then.
02:50Certainly by Friday, but...
02:52So it's just weird.
02:53I mean, I don't know that it means anything,
02:55but it's just weird because we couldn't figure it out
02:58and nobody could give us an answer.
03:00Right.
03:00But we know now.
03:02And...
03:02But why would they charge him with four felonies?
03:05Well, he may have...
03:06Well, three of them are the...
03:08He may have hit three officers.
03:10I mean, that's what I'm thinking.
03:12Well, if he hit three officers, they're individual accounts.
03:15No, I understand.
03:16But, you know, just taking into consideration
03:18what the police believed at the time,
03:21which was that he was on drugs.
03:22On drugs.
03:23And it...
03:23But that's not a defense.
03:25It certainly...
03:25That's not a defense.
03:26I got it.
03:27That's not...
03:27That's like saying...
03:28That's like saying, I drove drunk,
03:30but I was drunk, so you really can charge me.
03:33No, but I think what Jamie's trying to hit out
03:35is that things have changed, right?
03:37That there was a time where this...
03:40You certainly wouldn't have been hit with felonies.
03:42But no, no, no.
03:42But you would have.
03:44See, what I'm saying is, the weird thing is
03:45that they knew from the jump
03:47that he had attacked the officers.
03:50It's just, why did they go through the system
03:52as a minor thing when it was bigger than mine?
03:54By the way, those boots.
03:55Oh, my God.
03:57Which did eventually come off.
04:00Someone picked them up, right?
04:02And now they're...
04:03They're on eBay.
04:04They're on eBay.
04:05I do not think the underwear will be...
04:07I don't think the underwear can be on eBay.
04:09I think you're not allowed to sell that.
04:10I don't think you're allowed to do that.
04:11Hi, this is Eric in Sacramento, California.
04:15I wonder, I mean, how much drugs can a person take?
04:19Oh, my goodness.
04:19I mean, being in the music business is hard enough,
04:22but you get choices to make.
04:24Maturity is one thing, but wow, you're a star.
04:29You need to represent your brand.
04:32This is not a good look for you at all.
04:34So, look, I will say one thing.
04:36That, yeah, if he went on a bender that night, I'd get it.
04:40But something was going on because he was acting out of his head...
04:45We were on Wednesday afternoon.
04:45...Wednesday afternoon.
04:47And so this was a...
04:49Which does point to drugs, but again, if this were a drug situation,
04:54he went to the hospital for, what, three, four hours or so?
04:58And then was taken to jail.
04:59And then was taken to jail.
05:00So that doesn't...
05:02I mean, it could be drugs and it wasn't an overdose.
05:04It was just he was on something, he came down, and who knows?
05:07We don't know what happened at the hospital.
05:09One of the issues is they never test for drugs in the city of Los Angeles, it seems.
05:14I mean, when there was a...
05:16I don't think you could say that.
05:18Well, they never do, but I know what you're saying.
05:20Why don't you test and find out?
05:22Well, he may have been on drugs.
05:23But again, being on drugs is not a defense if you attack a police officer.
05:28It is really the same principle as, oh, I got in a car and I was driving drunk,
05:32but, Your Honor, I was drunk, so you can't really charge me.
05:35Keep that in mind, Dan.
05:36No, that's exactly what you charge with.
05:42So we've got an update now on Lil Nas X.
05:44He finally had his bail hearing and his arraignment as well,
05:48though he waived arraignment and bail was set at $75,000.
05:53Which means he has to post 10% of that $7,500 he's still in
05:56as of the moment we're doing this right now.
05:59But he should get out soon.
06:00To see him, actually, and he's been in for four days.
06:03Looking somber.
06:04A lot of people thought, gee, he must have been out of his head on Ventura Boulevard.
06:08So to see him here, it's a real contrast.
06:10Right.
06:11Definite contrast from early Thursday morning.
06:13You know, they said as part of the terms of his bail,
06:15he cannot use any narcotics and has to submit to drug testing.
06:21So it feels like they believe at least that clearly,
06:25that they believe that he was on drugs when they arrested him.
06:29And they may actually know that because we don't know what happened at the hospital.
06:31Well, they took him to the hospital.
06:32They may have taken blood.
06:33Right.
06:34But they clearly thought he was on drugs then.
06:38And he certainly was acting erratically walking naked on Ventura Boulevard.
06:43Yes.
06:43And allegedly assaulting officers in the process.
06:46Right.
06:46So we will see.
06:47We will see.
06:48We will see.
06:48We will see.
