00:00The more you discover about how your mind, body and spirit are connected, the more you
00:13see that everything flows naturally.
00:19Once you awaken the energy of gratitude, there is a response that closes the circle.
00:27You are heard.
00:29You are understood.
00:30You are appreciated.
00:33That's how life keeps evolving, by circling back within itself.
00:42When you take a moment to be grateful, grace responds.
00:48This shows you that you are in the flow, and with each new response, you can move forward
00:56in your life.
00:58But how do you know that grace is responding?
01:02Some signals come from within.
01:05If you express gratitude, the signal that comes back to you could be a sense of peace
01:12and calm.
01:14There could be a moment of joy.
01:21The bear tree outside your window in winter suddenly looks perfectly shaped and harmonious.
01:28A beautiful creation instead of a bear skeleton.
01:34other signals come from outside, in response to your gratitude given silently to yourself.
01:43Suddenly, someone shows how much they appreciate you.
01:47a difficult task becomes easier.
01:54An unexpected answer arrives.
01:57What connects inner and outer is that you have joined the flow of wholeness.
02:04Everything becomes increasingly effortless, more enjoyable, more vibrant.
02:14This isn't what most of us were taught about grace.
02:17When I was young, grace was considered mystical, rare and saintly.
02:24But I was also taught that grace is like the rain.
02:28It falls on everyone alike.
02:32That's much closer to the practical reality.
02:37Grace is the nurturing force in nature, like the purity of air, water and sunlight, that sustain all life.
02:46Being aware, human beings can reach out and ask for grace.
02:55We don't depend only on the raw ingredients and basic elements of life.
03:01We have desires and aspirations.
03:07Because grace comes from a deep source within you, it is intelligent and creative.
03:14It knows what you want and who you want to be.
03:18So it tailors its response to fit your situation.
03:25As we prepare to meditate together, let's take a moment to consider our centering thought.
03:33Grace is flowing back to me.
03:38Grace is flowing back to me.
03:43Now let's prepare for our meditation.
03:47Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.
03:53Begin to be aware of your breath and just breathe slowly and deeply.
03:59With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.
04:06Now, gently introduce the mantra, THVAM EVA MATA, which means the universe is our mother.
04:22This mantra reveals the truth that our relationship with the world is a supportive spiritual relationship.
04:30By relating to the world with love and appreciation, we receive unconditional love and support in response, just as a mother to her child.
04:42As you repeat the mantra, feel your individual connection to your universal existence as the intimate relationship it truly is, like the bond between a child and its mother.
05:00Repeat it silently to yourself, THVAM EVA MATA, THVAM EVA MATA, THVAM EVA MATA, THVAM EVA MATA.
05:18With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.
05:28When ever you find yourself distracted.
05:29Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.
05:41THVAM EVA MATA, THVAM EVA MATA, THVAM EVA MATA, THVAM EVA MATA.
05:56Please continue with your meditation.
