00:00Just heading out of Turf Moor here, a jubilant Turf Moor where Burnley got off and running for the season with a 2-0 win against Sunderland.
00:08It feels ridiculous to say, second game of the season, but in August.
00:12This felt like a, not a must win, but certainly don't lose, like six points almost given Burnley's Sixers coming up and given the Sunderland team that start the season with a win
00:21and are likely to be in and round them at the bottom of the table this season.
00:25Yeah, as it's going to be all season, really had to work hard for this win, pushed all the way.
00:33I feel they deserved it. They should have beat 1-0 Head & City in the first half.
00:37Crawley denied a goal and Lyle Foster's goal, in inverted commas, was ruled out for an apparent foul, apparent trip.
00:45Didn't look like there was too much in it, the sort of replays looked very soft.
00:49Sunderland had two big chances first half, but they were sort of on the break and for large parts of the game,
00:55they were happy to sort of sit back and soak up pressure.
00:57Second half, Burnley got to the perfect start, Josh Cullen, really well taken goal and a clever float from Jayden Anthony.
01:04And as we saw last season, they sort of soaked up pressure, set up for a nervy finish.
01:11Well, thanks to those two players I just mentioned, Cullen and Anthony combined again.
01:14This time Cullen's setting Anthony free in the 18th minute and he did the rest, rounding the keeper and putting his back in the empty net.
01:22So, yeah, despite the ten minute started time, it wasn't too nervy because Burnley had got that second.
01:28So, yeah, perfect afternoon here at Turf Moor and, yeah, great to be up and running nice and early into the season.
