00:06Burnley beating 1-0, suffering their first defeat of pre-season.
00:11Bit of a strange afternoon, really. Bit of a strange game.
00:15You could say it was ruined by the referee, and it was a very bizarre, poor fish-shitting display from Steve Martin.
00:23I don't think I've ever seen a friendly with one red card, and I think it ended with five yellows as well.
00:29Yes, that was a bit tasty. It was a physical game. I did have a bit of a needle, which I actually sort of enjoyed.
00:36It did make it a bit more interesting than a normal sort of friendly affair.
00:40But yeah, it just ruined its second half. Josh Laurent was sent off for two.
00:44Book of all offences. The second one, especially, was a bit needless.
00:49At that point, it was obvious the referee was taking things pretty serious, so he didn't need to make it.
00:54But at the same time, the referee just needed to apply a bit of common sense, and maybe asked Scott Parker to take Josh Laurent off.
01:01But yeah, he clearly had other ideas.
01:04As for the game, Burnley were pretty poor, to be honest. Definitely below par.
01:08Lots of quality through the middle, and in the final third as well, didn't create a great deal.
01:18That's definitely something the Clubs need to look at in the transit market.
01:24But again, we already knew that, didn't we? That's not necessarily new information.
01:29But yeah, we'll move on to next week, home friendly to Lazio, which was quite an interesting one.
01:35Hopefully we see some improvements there on that front too.
01:39So yeah, not sure what much we learned from today, other than the friendly ruined, but yeah, it was a bit bizarre because the referee's performance.
