Police have confirmed that four teenagers were killed after the car they were travelling in skidded along Jalan Sultan Sulaiman Shah in Kampung Chodoi, Banting, on Saturday (Aug 23).

00:00Four teenagers were killed and two others were critically injured
00:05after the car they were travelling in skidded and crashed into a drain wall
00:09along Jalan Sultan Sulaiman Shah in Kampung Chodoy, Banting, early Saturday morning.

00:20said the crash happened around 5 a.m. when the car,
00:23travelling from Pantai Morib towards Telok Panglima Garang,
00:27lost control, crossed into the opposite lane and skidded.
00:31Three victims, including the 16-year-old driver, died at the scene
00:35while three others were rushed to Banting Hospital for treatment.
00:39Sadly, one more victim later died in hospital.
00:43All six victims were aged between 16 and 19 years old.
00:47Preliminary investigations revealed that the 16-year-old driver
00:51did not have a valid driving licence and is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel.
00:56Police are investigating the case under Section 41 subsection of the Road Transport Act 1987.
