00:00I'm looking forward to having you at the final on July 19th in New York.
00:04We're going to be there. A lot of people are going to be there.
00:07A lot of people are going to be there.
00:08I'd like to thank you all. Do you have any questions on people, first of all?
00:12It's going to be a big event at the Kennedy Center.
00:14Do you intend to take part in it? Will you have a part to play on December 5th?
00:19I may play.
00:22I mean, I see the money that these soccer players, you know, we call it soccer,
00:26but I see the money that these soccer players are making.
00:29I may try and play. I'm a very good athlete.
00:31My son is a very good athlete, and he's a good soccer player.
00:36He's on the tall side for soccer. He's 6'9".
00:39He's pretty tall.
00:40He's on the tall side, but he's good.
00:43But no, I may put on shorts. I look extremely good in shorts.
00:48Enjoying the play.
00:50It's going to be a lot of fun.
00:51Many foreigners who want to come to attend the event
00:57are concerned about the visa situation. Can you reassure them?
01:01Yeah, they're going to have a very easy time getting in.
01:03Certain countries are going to be very, very easy,
01:06and other countries are going to be, obviously, a little bit more difficult.
01:09Would you like to explain that, Christine?
01:10Yeah, absolutely.
01:11We have a process set up that we'll be implementing on getting visas approved.
01:16Everybody will be thoroughly vetted, but they'll be welcomed to this country.
01:19It'll happen quickly, and we're excited for them to come.
01:22So I would hope that around the world people know that the United States is excited
01:27to bring their family here to enjoy this event.
01:30America welcomes the world.
01:32Yes.
01:32And I can really, from the collaboration that we have, testify for that. Absolutely.
01:38And I just sent a picture from somebody that wants to be there very badly.
01:41He's been very respectful of me and of our country, but not so respectful of others.
01:47But he'll, I'm going to sign this for him, but I was sent one,
01:52and I thought you'd all like to see it.
01:54That's a man named Vladimir Putin, who I believe will be coming, depending on what happens.
02:01He may be coming, and he may not, depending on what happens.
02:04We have a lot of things happening over the next couple of weeks.
02:07But I thought it was a nice picture of him.
02:10Okay of me, but nice of him.
02:13So that was very nice that it was sent to me.
02:16Okay?
02:17Mr. President, on that subject, have you talked to Vladimir Putin about the fact that yesterday
02:21a big U.S. factory was hit in a Russian airstrike in Ukraine?
02:26What's your reaction to that?
02:27I told him I'm not happy about it, and I'm not happy about anything having to do with that war.
02:31I said, I settled seven wars, and actually, if you think about pre-wars, add three more,
02:37so it would be ten.
02:39I thought this would be in the middle of the pack, in terms of difficulty.
02:44No, I'm not happy about anything about that war.
02:47Nothing.
02:48Not happy at all.
02:49We'll see what happens.
02:50I think over the next two weeks, we're going to find out which way it's going to go.
02:55And I better be very happy.
02:59Mr. President, I was going to take a very good call with Prime Minister Carney of Canada
03:04yesterday morning.
03:05Yes.
03:06Actually, Canada is taking away some retaliatory tariffs.
03:09He's removing his tariffs, yeah.
03:11Exactly.
03:11He's removing his retaliatory tariffs, which I thought was nice.
03:14And we're going to have another call soon.
03:16Okay.
03:16Yeah, we had a very good call.
03:17You're getting closer towards an agreement on trade?
03:19I like him.
03:20You know, look, I'm fighting for the United States.
03:24Canada and Mexico have taken a lot of our business over the years, over 25, 30 years,
03:28especially during the Biden years.
03:30They took a lot of our business.
03:31And it's basically all coming back into the United States now.
03:35We're hot as a pistol.
03:36And it's coming back.
03:37And because of tariffs and the incentives we give, it's coming back.
03:40And it's impossible, I think, for another country to stop it.
03:44And we are working on something.
03:47We want to be very good to Canada.
03:49I like Carney a lot.
03:51I think he's a good person.
03:53And we had a very good talk yesterday.
03:55So I think it'll be good.
03:56Mr. President, I have a question about the search of Ambassador Bolton's home.
04:01The Vice President recently just did an interview saying that it's about classified documents,
04:05but that there's also broad concern about it.
04:08And what are the concerns?
04:09Well, I haven't spoken to Pam and the group yet, but I will be.
04:14I saw that just like everybody else.
04:16I try and stay out of that stuff.
04:17I'm allowed to be, and I'm chief law enforcement officer, believe it or not.
04:21I don't like to go around saying that, but I am.
04:23That's the position.
04:24But I purposely don't want to really get involved in it.
04:28I'm not a fan of John Bolton.
04:29I thought he was a sleazebag, actually.
04:31And he suffers major Trump derangement syndrome, but so do a lot of people,
04:36and they're not being affected by anything we do.
04:39I don't know anything about it.
04:41I just saw that.
04:42I'll find out about it.
04:43But if you believe the news, which I do, I guess his house was raided today,
04:50but my house was raided also, called Mar-a-Lago.
04:53They went through everything they could, including my young son's room and my wife's area.
04:59They went through her drawers, as the expression goes.
05:02They went through everything you can imagine.
05:06And when she came back, she looked, she said, she's very neat, you know, she's meticulous.
05:10And she looked and she said, whoa, this wasn't, this wasn't the way that she had it.
05:16So, you know, so I know the feeling.
05:18It's not a good feeling.
05:19Mr. President, on Ukraine, how long would you give Putin...
05:24A couple of weeks.
05:25We're going to figure it out.
05:26We'll find it.
05:27Do you think you'll have to intervene at some point?
05:29Look, it takes two to tango.
05:30You understand that.
05:31I wanted to have a meeting with those two.
05:33I could have been at the meeting, but a lot of people think that nothing's going to come
05:37out of that meeting.
05:38You have to be there.
05:39Maybe that's true.
05:40Maybe it's not.
05:41But we're going to see.
05:42In the meantime, people continue to die.
05:44But I've solved seven of them where they were in wars for 31, 35, and 37 years.
05:51We had three of them that were for more than 30 years, Johnny, and I got them solved.
05:56And we solved one that could have been a nuclear war with India and Pakistan.
06:01That was getting ready to be a nuclear war.
06:03I solved them all.
06:04And this one, I thought we would have had it done by now, but it's more different.
06:10There's a lot of anger, a lot of hatred.
06:11There's a tremendous amount of hatred there.
06:14But we'll see what happens.
06:15I think in two weeks, we'll know which way I'm going.
06:19Because I'm going to go one way or the other, and they'll learn which way I'm going.
06:23Mr. President.
06:25If I've got two questions for you, one on FIFA, the other one on D.C.
06:29Can you talk about the economic impact that FIFA will have in these cities?
06:33And what's your message to the mayors to get their cities prepared, not only the beautification
06:37process, but also the safety aspect?
06:39Well, Los Angeles is an example.
06:42It's poorly run.
06:42We have a mayor there that can't even get permits to the people that lost their houses.
06:47Lee Zeldin got every permit.
06:49The hardest permit is the federal permit.
06:51Within 20 days, every single permit was there for the people to build their houses.
06:55But people are writing us, and they're saying they won't give us — the mayor is incompetent.
07:02The governor is incompetent.
07:03You know, Gavin — I know Gavin very well.
07:05He's an incompetent guy with a good line of bullshit.
07:08And he doesn't get the job done.
07:09And frankly, those people want to build their houses.
07:14It's terrible.
07:15They could have been built.
07:16Some of them could have been built already.
07:18But think of it.
07:19The federal government that has the most complex part — it's the most complex environmental
07:25thing to do.
07:26We got it — everybody had it within 30 days.
07:29And they're not even close to getting their permits.
07:33And now they're talking about taking some of those sites and building low-income housing
07:37on them.
07:38These are high-end neighborhoods.
07:39And I'm all for low-income housing.
07:41I built a lot of low-income housing.
07:43I know all about 236.
07:45I know every program that there is in the government.
07:48I used every one of them.
07:49I know more about low-income housing than probably almost anybody.
07:53And it's great.
07:54It's fine.
07:55It's wonderful.
07:56But you don't build it in Pacific Palisades.
08:00You don't build it there.
08:01And you don't build it in the other areas that burned down.
08:03So they're talking about putting up low-income housing.
08:07And you talk about riots — they're going to have riots if that happens, because you're
08:10taking the people's property away.
08:12They want to build their houses, and they're unable to get permits from the mayor and from
08:15the governor.
08:17And that's a terrible thing.
08:18But — and let me tell you, if I didn't send in the troops in Los Angeles, Johnny wouldn't
08:24be in Los Angeles.
08:25You wouldn't be having your World Cup there.
08:27I sent in the troops, and we kept it.
08:29And even the police commissioner, the sheriff and the police commissioner, they all said the
08:33same thing.
08:34They said, we could have never handled what was happening.
08:37You saw that.
08:38You were there.
08:39He said, we could have never handled what was happening.
08:41And then you hear Gavin Newsom — after it's all quelled, Ian Newsom got up and said,
08:45we could have done this by ourselves.
08:46No, they couldn't have.
08:48And if they could have, I wouldn't have taken the chance either.
08:50Okay.
08:51My second question is on crime prevention.
08:53Would you be open to expanding the national concealed carry to apply to D.C. like it does in other
09:00states like Texas?
09:01Yeah.
09:02Well, they have it in some states, and they feel strongly about it.
09:05I — you know, as you know, I'm in favor of it.
09:08People have to protect themselves.
09:10I'm a Second Amendment person, very simply.
09:12People have to be able to protect themselves.
09:14But especially, like in Washington, you walk down the street, a guy comes up and slugs you.
09:18He's got a — he's got a pistol in his hand.
09:20You could be tough.
09:21You could be in great shape.
09:22You could be a powerful person.
09:24Or you could be a guy that weighs 100 pounds with a gun in your hand.
09:28Right.
09:29And I'll bet on the guy with a gun 100 percent of the time, right?
09:34And so you need protection.
09:35So I'm a Second Amendment person all the way.
09:37Yeah, please.
09:38President Trump, you said this morning that you have worked in Congress to get $2 billion
09:40to help clean up D.C.
09:41Have you had any conversations with Mike Johnson and John Thune about where they're going to
09:45get that money from?
09:46Which money?
09:47You said this morning that you're going to get $2 billion from Congress to help clean up D.C.
09:50I've spoken to Mike Johnson.
09:51I've spoken to John Thune, the Senate, the House.
09:56And I think it's going to be very easy to get.
09:59It's going to be not a lot of money.
10:02I wouldn't even know where to spend the number that you mentioned.
10:04But it's going to be money to beautify the city.
10:08Yeah.
10:09They're ready.
10:10Everybody wants to save D.C.
10:11In one way, it's the easiest.
10:13The violence was more than any other city in the country, actually, by far.
10:18It may have been more than any other city in the world.
10:20If you could think, you know, we looked at some of the worst cities in the world.
10:24It was worse.
10:25And that's why it angers me to see the mayor saying about how they have it on the side.
10:29Not on the slide.
10:30It was worse than ever.
10:31Yeah.
10:32We have no problem getting that money.
10:34That money will come out of Congress.
10:35I think it'll be even bipartisan.
10:36And is the plan to get it?
10:37I mean, I would imagine Democrats would vote for that one.
10:40Is the plan to get it before the September 30th standing deadline on the Hill?
10:44Well, I don't know if there is a deadline.
10:47Because if I declare a national emergency, which this was, that ends the deadline.
10:54So, I mean, I keep seeing about a 30-day deadline of which we have 22 days left or something.
10:58But if I think we're in great shape here, that's one thing.
11:02But if I don't, I'm going to just say it's a national emergency.
11:05And if I have a national emergency, I can keep the troops there as long as I want.
11:11People are not going to want to have the troops there.
11:12And 30 days, you know, it's one thing to get them out.
11:15It's another thing to keep them out for a long period of time.
11:19You've got to train people.
11:21You can't do this.
11:22You can't bop people over the head.
11:24And a lot of those people are in courts right now, going to court.
11:26They're going to go to jail for a long time.
11:29So that's going to take more than 30 days.
11:31But if I have to, I'll declare a national emergency, which I don't think I'll have to
11:35do.
11:36Yeah.
11:37Mr. President, you said in two weeks you'll know whether you go one or the other.
11:40I think I'll know the attitude of Russia and, frankly, of Ukraine.
11:45It takes two.
11:46What are the two ways you can go at the end of two weeks, then?
11:48Well, then I'm going to make a decision as to what we do.
11:51And it's going to be a very important decision.
11:55And that's whether or not it's massive sanctions or massive tariffs or above.
12:02Or do we do nothing and say it's your fight?
12:04Look, I would have never been in this war if I were president.
12:07You wouldn't have, you wouldn't have had this war.
12:09It was never going to happen.
12:11This was caused by stupid people that fought, fought.
12:16And you know, people say, well, how do we know?
12:18Because for four years it was never even a subject.
12:21And Vladimir knew.
12:23And you see his picture right here was nice that he sent.
12:26But Vladimir knew very strongly.
12:30We wouldn't have stood for it.
12:32It wouldn't have happened.
12:33A hundred percent wouldn't have happened.
12:35But it did happen.
12:36And now they're losing from five to seven young kids.
12:40Think of it.
12:41You're a parent and your son is leaving.
12:42He's Russian or he's Ukrainian.
12:44And he's leaving.
12:45Leaving him by nice, beautiful kid.
12:48Nice crew cut.
12:49All set.
12:50He wants to be a soldier.
12:52And he goes there the first week he has his head blown off.
12:57And he's no different than you people, me.
12:59And it doesn't matter where.
13:01I mean, I solved the problem in the Congo that was vicious.
13:07Rwanda and the Congo, the Republic of the Congo.
13:11And they were fighting for 31 years.
13:13And it was machetes.
13:14People were getting their heads chopped off.
13:17That was going on for 31 years.
13:19I got it solved.
13:20You saw it.
13:21They came to the White House.
13:22We signed an agreement.
13:23It was amazing.
13:24People can't believe we got it done.
13:25And I love to stop killing.
13:28I really do.
13:29People thought it would be just the opposite.
13:32Hillary Clinton said, oh, he'll get us into a war.
13:34No, I'm getting everybody else out of wars.
13:36Are you saying there's a real possibility, then, that you do nothing if Putin doesn't come
13:42to the table for a ceasefire threat at war?
13:44I'll see whose fault it is.
13:45If there are reasons why, I'll understand that.
13:48I know exactly what I'm doing.
13:51We're going to see whether or not they have a meeting.
13:53That'll be interesting to see.
13:54And if they don't, why didn't they have a meeting?
13:56Because I told them to have a meeting.
13:58But I'll know in two weeks what I'm going to do.
14:00Pretty good ideas.
14:01Your Justice Department is also sending some of the Epstein files over to the House Oversight
14:07Committee today.
14:08Absolutely.
14:09Are you in support of them releasing all of them?
14:10I'm in support of keeping it open.
14:11If they wanted to release it.
14:12Innocent people shouldn't be hurt, but I'm in support of keeping it totally open.
14:15I couldn't care less.
14:16You got a lot of people that could be mentioned under those files that don't deserve to be people.
14:21Because he knew everybody in Palm Beach.
14:23I don't know anything about that, but I have said to Pam and everybody else, give them everything
14:26you can give them.
14:28Because it's a Democrat hoax.
14:29It's just a hoax.
14:30The whole Epstein thing is a Democrat hoax.
14:33So we had the greatest six months, seven months in the history of the presidency.
14:38And the Democrats don't know what to do, so they keep bringing up that stuff.
14:41But it affected them.
14:43The Bill Clinton was on his plane and went to the island supposedly 28 times.
14:49I don't want to bring that up, frankly.
14:51You have Larry, whatever his name is, Summers, the head of Harvard, who was Jeffrey Epstein's
14:56best friend.
14:57Nobody ever talks about that.
15:00But I don't want to hurt Larry Summers, but he was best friends with Jeffrey Epstein.
15:03No, this is a Democratic hoax to try and get the significance of what we've done over
15:11the past seven months.
15:13Nobody's ever seen anything like it.
15:14They say it's number one in history.
15:16What we've done, including stopping seven wars.
15:18I mean, just include that.
15:21And now you look and now you look at the stock market today.
15:23It's way up to start off with from where I took it.
15:26And this market was going to crash.
15:28If Joe Biden or Kamala were president, this market would have we would have had a crash
15:32like in 1929.
15:33You're not going to have that.
15:35It's only a question of how high is it going to go?
15:37You know, I had the strongest economy in the history of our country.
15:41And despite COVID, we had the strongest economy in the history of our country.
15:46And we're going to blow it away this time.
15:48I was always good at making a lot of money.
15:51And whether it was for myself or whether it was I like doing it this way better.
15:54I mean, I like I like making it for the country.
15:56Our country has been ripped off by friend and foe nations all over the world ripped off.
16:01And the friends have been much worse than the foes for the most part.
16:05And they're not ripping us off.
16:07We just signed a deal with the European Union.
16:09They're paying us essentially $950 billion like a signing fee.
16:14They're going to buy $750 billion worth of energy.
16:17They weren't buying much of our energy there.
16:20And they're very smart in doing it.
16:22And as you know, Ursula was here a couple of days ago having to do with the people,
16:26the leaders that we had agreed.
16:29People said they've never seen anything like it.
16:30Well, we had the leaders of Europe right here in the Oval Office.
16:34And she's so happy that she has an agreement.
16:37But people aren't ripping us anymore.
16:39They're, we're run by, this country is run by smart people now.
16:43Mr. President, Israel.
16:44I have two questions.
16:45One is about Intel.
16:46There have been reports that you're considering taking stake in Intel.
16:50About the 10 percent?
16:51About the 10 percent.
16:52Yeah, I met a man who was a very nice man.
16:54And I called for his removal because I saw something by a man named Tom Cotton, a senator
17:00from Arkansas.
17:01He's a great guy, friend of mine, supporter of mine, big supporter.
17:04And he wrote a pretty nasty story about the head of Intel.
17:11And I said, well, if that's right, he should resign.
17:13And he came in, he saw me.
17:16We talked for a while.
17:17I liked him a lot.
17:18I thought he was very good.
17:19I thought he was somewhat a victim, but, you know, nobody's a total victim, I guess.
17:23And I said, you know what?
17:26I think the United States should be given 10 percent of Intel.
17:31And he said, I would consider that.
17:35I said, well, I'd like you to do that because Intel has been left behind, as you know, compared
17:41to Jensen and some of our friends, NVIDIA, some of the people and the people and because
17:49Intel should have never been.
17:50Intel was the biggest, most powerful chip company in the world.
17:56And then they started leaving.
18:00And they started going to foreign countries, in particular Taiwan.
18:03And if we had a president who would have said, okay, you can go to Taiwan, but we're going
18:07to put a 100 percent tariff or a 200 or 300 or a 500 percent tariff.
18:13Anybody that sells into the United States has to pay.
18:15They wouldn't have left.
18:16They would have never left.
18:17And we wouldn't have.
18:18So in the meantime, we had people that were, in some cases, good politicians that weren't
18:22good on trade.
18:23I loved that man, but he was not good on trade.
18:27I totally disagreed.
18:28He allowed the car industry to be taken out of this country.
18:31We lost 50 percent of our car industry.
18:34But that's all coming back.
18:35It's all coming back.
18:36But if somebody would have said that with Intel, it would be a giant right now.
18:41Now, with that, they've had some bad management over the years, and they got lost.
18:45And I said, I think you should pay us 10 percent of your company.
18:49And they said, yes, that's about $10 billion for the ... I don't get it.
18:54This comes to the United States of America.
18:56And I said, I think it would be good having the United States as your partner.
18:59He agreed.
19:00And they've agreed to do it.
19:01And I think it's a great deal for them.
19:02And I think it's a great deal.
19:04He walked in wanting to keep his job, and he ended up giving us $10 billion for the United
19:10States.
19:11So we picked up $10 billion.
19:12And we do a lot of deals like that.
19:14I'll do more of them if somebody has ... Like, we have restrictive covenants with Jensen.
19:20We have ... It's NVIDIA.
19:23And to unrestrict the covenant ... Nothing to do with losing our powers or military or anything,
19:30because that I wouldn't do.
19:32But there are things you can do that don't affect us, that actually help us.
19:37And if we're going to give somebody a ... Free out a restricted covenant, we have a strong
19:42restrictive covenant on certain industries.
19:45And I will absolutely give somebody an opening on a ... To do a lot of business, which is
19:51good for us, as long as it doesn't hurt us in a security or military way.
19:56And if I do that, I think the country should be paid, because anybody else ... I have it in
20:00real estate, where I'll have a deal with somebody, and I'll have them restrictive covenant.
20:05Then they'll come back and they'll say, I'd love to be able to build over here, but I'm
20:08not allowed to, because you have me covered.
20:10You have me restricted.
20:11I say, I'll let you build over there, but pay me a lot of money.
20:16No different.
20:17But the country never did it, because the country was run by foolish people.
20:22You said Chicago might be next.
20:28Are you making ... Have there been concrete steps that the administration is taking to
20:32do that?
20:33No.
20:34I haven't spoken to the mayor.
20:35He's grossly incompetent.
20:36I haven't spoken to the mayor.
20:37No.
20:38When we're ready, we'll go ahead and we'll straighten out Chicago, just like we did D.C.
20:41Chicago's very dangerous.
20:42Great place.
20:43I built great stuff there.
20:44I have the most beautiful building in Chicago, I think, but I hate to see what's happened to
20:49Chicago.
20:50Chicago is our greatest city, actually.
20:53Bob Tisch, a great friend of mine, passed away.
20:55He used to own the Giants and very successful Lowe's.
20:59He said Chicago ... I think they had their main office in Chicago.
21:02He said Chicago and San Francisco are the two greatest cities in the world.
21:06Now you look at what the Democrats have done to San Francisco.
21:09They've destroyed it.
21:10I own a big chunk of the Bank of America building in San Francisco, and it's just different.
21:16We can clean that up, too.
21:17We'll clean that one up, too.
21:19Now, if everything works out ... We've already had calls from other cities, quiet calls, calls
21:25from Democrats, we'd love you to come here, because they've lost control of themselves.
21:31I'm not going to say it, because I don't want them to lose their elections.
21:34But we've had calls from Democrats and calls from people, generally, and we'd love you to
21:39come here.
21:40Because we'll straighten out the problem.
21:41President Trump, in Israel, the families of hostages are ...
21:45Say it?
21:46President Trump, in Israel, the families of hostages are opposed to the reoccupying of
21:52Gaza.
21:53Why is the U.S.
21:54They're all of them.
21:55They're all of them.
21:56And you have to understand, I'm the one that got all of the hostages out.
21:57You got a lot of people out.
21:58If it wasn't for me, they wouldn't be out.
22:01I worked with B.B. and I worked with Steve Witko.
22:04But if it wasn't for me, you would have all these hostages would most likely be dead right
22:08now.
22:09Every one of them.
22:10So, they all come up here.
22:11They all come in groups of 10, 12, 13.
22:15And many of them, and I've gotten to know a lot of them, they're great people.
22:19What they had to go through is incredible.
22:21So now they have 20, but the 20 is actually probably not 20, because a couple maybe aren't
22:25around any longer.
22:27It's a terrible thing.
22:28No, I like ... I don't like any more.
22:30I said, you know, when you get down to 20, they're not going to make deals anymore.
22:35And they didn't.
22:36And then I put out a statement, as you know.
22:37That was a tough statement.
22:38Go in and get them.
22:40And they said, we'll give you 10, we'll give you 10.
22:42I don't know what Israel's doing, but they were willing now, immediately, to give us
22:45another 10.
22:47The situation has to end.
22:50It's extortion, and it has to end.
22:52And we'll see what happens.
22:54I actually think they're safer, in many ways, if you went in, and you really went in fast
22:57and you did it.
22:59And people can't forget October 7th, remember that.
23:02I'm friendly with all groups.
23:03I won the Arab vote in Michigan.
23:06I did so great with the Arab vote, remember?
23:08I started off at zero.
23:09I ended up winning.
23:10I wouldn't say the candidate was the greatest, but I would have won against anybody.
23:13They're great people.
23:15But we have to do things properly.
23:18And I'm very proud to say, I got the hostages out.
23:22You have hundreds of people that are living now because of me.
23:26And now we have that final little group of people.
23:29And Hamas knows that if they give them, that's probably the end of their lives.
23:33So it's not easy to get.
23:35And I know if you're a parent, you just don't care.
23:39I want my baby back.
23:40They want their babies back.
23:41They want their kids back.
23:42And I understand that.
23:44But I got them out and did a good job.
23:46And we're doing everything we can to get the hostages out.
23:50Thank you all very much.
23:52Yes.
23:52So Jackson Hole, Jay Powell today said, he suggested that they might cut interest rates that they
23:59won't receive.
23:59Well, we call him too late for a reason.
24:01He should have cut them a year ago.
24:03He's too late.
24:03You know, we have a stock market that's up 1,000 points today.
24:08I better be careful because I'll go out there and I'll see.
24:11It's down 1,000, right?
24:12But it's up 1,000 points when I came in here.
24:15We have a country that the market's the hottest it's ever been.
24:18The country's better than it's ever been.
24:20We have a military that I rebuilt largely in my first term.
24:23We had a great successful first term.
24:25But this is going to be even better.
24:27But we rebuilt it.
24:28We gave a lot of it away to Afghanistan, but relatively small compared to the overall.
24:33But I think it was the most embarrassing day and period in the history of our country
24:38that they allowed those 13 wonderful people.
24:42But it's really hundreds of people were killed.
24:44And they don't talk about the 48 that were so severely wounded with no legs, no arms.
24:48No, nobody ever mentions them except me.
24:51But that was the worst day, the most.
24:54It just showed how incompetent.
24:56Frankly, if that didn't happen, I really believe that you might not have had the problem with Russia.
25:00I think Putin was sitting there watching these stupid people running our country and said,
25:04this is a time to invade.
25:07It's, you know, this is a time.
25:09And then Biden made the statement, well, he can do a small incursion.
25:12When he said that, it was off to the races, right?
25:15When he said he can do a small incursion, remember that?
25:18I was surprised he knew the word incursion.
25:20I didn't think that could have a vocabulary.
25:22I want to thank everybody.
25:25It's very important to me and to everybody up here at the World Cup.
25:29And Johnny has been so incredible.
25:31I mean, he's really a great leader.
25:33I mean, to think, I said, Johnny, do it by phone.
25:34You don't have to come.
25:35No, he said, I'll come, I'll come.
25:36And he flew all night long to be here and listen to this about how great we're doing in D.C.
25:41But he's a fantastic leader.
25:44And this will be your most successful World Cup ever.
25:47Thank you, Jim.
25:48Thank you so much.
25:49Can we win it, Mr. President?
25:52I don't know.
25:54I watch some of those teams go down that field.
25:59I don't know.
26:00But let me ask you, what chances does America have of winning?
26:05Well, the home team always has a good chance to win.
26:08It depends on the star.
26:11No, but there's some good players.
26:12We have a chance.
26:12We have a chance.
26:13Of course, you have a chance.
26:15Will there be going to the games, Mr. President?
26:17I'd love to have him.
26:19He'd love to.
26:21He's very tall.
26:23Maybe we could make him a goalie.
26:25The goalies are very tall now, right?
26:27The goalies are very tall.
26:27The goalies, well, he'd be a perfect goalie.
26:30100%.
26:30At his height, he'll be a great goalie.
26:32So we'll put him on the American team.
26:33No, but do the Americans have a chance of, like, getting into the quarterfinals?
26:38Yes, definitely.
26:39No, the quarterfinals, definitely.
26:41But then, you know, as the tournament goes on with the public 250 years of the United States,
26:46let's not forget, they will all feel energized about that.
26:49You know, it's amazing that talent is really great when you watch these things.
26:53I went to the game two weeks ago, and it was a big upset.
26:57But you look at these people, the way they pass it, it's amazing, really amazing.
27:02It's a great art, right?
27:04It's a great talent.
27:05It is incredible.
27:05You know the expression?
27:06Can you draw the names out of the hat?
27:08This, what?
27:09Will you draw the names?
27:10I don't know.
27:11He's the boss.
27:13That's an interesting proposal.
27:15He's the boss.
27:15We'll discuss that.
27:16It's going to be great.
27:17And I think the American team is going to do well.
27:19I mean, I hear it's a very good team.
27:20Good luck, everybody.
27:21Thank you very much.
27:23Thank you guys.
27:25Thank you guys.
27:30We're done.
27:30We're done.
27:31That was a nice follow-up.
27:33Thank you very much.
27:35I'm going this way.
27:36Everyone's going this way.
27:38Thank you, everybody.
27:41Thank you guys.
27:43Thank you guys.
