The Artie Kornfeld Tree - A Time To Remember! 1970 (USA, Psychedelic Rock)
American musician and record producer Arthur Lawrence "Artie" Kornfeld was born September 9, 1942 in Brooklyn ( NY ) . He is best known as a music promoter in Woodstock festival in 1969 . Kornfeld began to master the guitar in 1956 and later became an advocate with "Dion And The Belmonts" and "Skyliners" as a backing vocalist. He continued his musical career while studying at Adelphi College and American University, where he met with Cass Elliot of "The Mamas And The Papas". At age 20 he became the youngest vice president "Capitol Records". By 1966 Kornfel'd were penned more than 75 songs , caught in Billboard, as well as participated in the recording of more than 150 albums of various artists such as Jan Berry, "Jan & Dean", "The Angels", "The Shirelles", "The Changin 'Times ", Crispian St. Peters, "The Cowsills", Johnny Crawford, Freddie Cannon, Cher, "Jay & The Americans", Al Hirt, Connie Francis, Gene Pitney, "Gary Lewis & The Playboys", "The Tokens", "The Hullabaloos", " Oscar Benton & Artie Kaplan "," Jerry Butler & Betty Everett ", Bert Sommer, Dusty Springfield, Minnie Ripperton, Tony Orlando," Reparperata & The Delrons ", Wayne Newton, Bobby Hebb, Woody Allen," The Bangles "," Survivor ", etc. In 1969, Kornfeld left " Capitol Records " and focused on the preparation of " The Woodstock Music & Arts Festival " with Mike Lang.
