Gerhard Struber confirms Joe Williams injury setback in blow for Bristol City

00:00Bristol City head coach Gerhard Struber has confirmed that Joe Williams is set for a longer period on the sidelines

00:08as he has suffered a setback in his recovery from an injury.

00:12This comes as a blow to Bristol City, who are set to face Derby on Friday.

00:16Yeah, we were a little bit surprised about the situation around him.

00:21He was in the recovery programme and we realised, yeah, again, he's not ready and he's a little bit of a sit-back.

00:29He feels not ready with his leg and in this way, I think we have to be patient.

00:35We know he's for us a big key in our team and yeah, I feel sorry for him, but of course also for the team.

00:46And it obviously sort of reduces your options in centre midfield.

00:49It's not perhaps the position where you're most looking at players, but are you comfortable with what you've got there at the moment?

00:54Yes, of course, with the players they are available in this position, I'm very happy.

01:04So these, I would say, players, they can be a big key for us.

01:09We know from which players we speak.

01:11I think that the group is very small.

01:14And Bristol Rovers' Ryan Howley has made clear that he was very happy with his side's first point of the season.

01:22It came from a 0-0 draw at home at the Memorial Stadium against Oldham Athletic in midweek,

01:29following what has been a difficult start to the season for the Gas.

01:32I think it's a step in the right direction, you know, a clean sheet.

01:37And I think there was a lot more positive play today.

01:41It's just unlucky not to get the winner.

01:44But it was nice to, you know, get the fans on the edge of their seats and bring that positive feeling a bit more today.

01:52Yeah, only a draw today.

01:54You always want to win, but it really felt out there that there was only going to be one winner if there was going to be one.

01:58Yeah, definitely. I think you could tell, certainly, second half, you know, the chances were going into their box.
