Do you get travel insurance or vaccinations before you go abroad, and what small steps do you take to protect your health on holiday?
Transcript
00:00I always take travel insurance. I have annual travel insurance and I take every injection I need.
00:07They're awfully enthusiastic about selling you the insurance and telling you how much you'll benefit from it.
00:12However, you try and make a claim and then you'll see how enthusiastic they are to have you as a customer and to pay out claims.
00:20A member of the family go abroad and have an accident and he wasn't insured, travel insurance.
00:27And what they tend to do in certain places, I'm not mentioning any names because it's not fair,
00:33but the ambulance school get paid for taking them to the private hospital because a lot in Europe is public like it is here.
00:41But they take them to the private ones, so that's something you don't realise.
00:44Whilst it's a necessity, of course, and we all have it, you wonder how much coverage and how secure you are with you should you fall abroad.
00:55Travel insurance, definitely. Most definitely, especially now.
