00:00So the third time is a char, three finals and now their first event win since season 3, give the win in Sassnitz to the French.
00:15The Germany SAIL Grand Prix in Sassnitz has just come to an end with an incredible victory from team France.
00:22I am here with SAIL GP's CEO, Russell Kutz.
00:25Russell, what a drama-filled, action-packed weekend. What were some of your key takeaways?
00:31Well, I think the crowds were amazing. Yeah, that's the first thing.
00:36We were all, I think, impressed with the area. Sassnitz and Bins are amazing places to visit.
00:45So I'd encourage anyone to come here.
00:48I heard even we've signed a two-year deal with them for the future. Is that true?
00:52Yeah, it is. Yeah, we'll be back here again for the next few years and I think it's fantastic.
00:59Everyone was pleasantly surprised by how good the venue was and, yeah, looking forward to the next years.
01:04I think it was a great event and a great launch for SAIL GP in Germany.
01:08With so much adversity and so much challenges this weekend with the crashes on board,
01:14what can you tell us about the tech team and all the work they've put behind it?
01:18Well, it was amazing to get the, you know, Emirates GBR back on the water for the final day.
01:25Incredible effort by the tech team and, you know, I think it shows that this is a real team effort to put these events on
01:31and, you know, I think everyone was amazed actually.
01:33When we saw the damage, there weren't many people that thought that boat would be on the water today and it was.
01:39So, yeah, full credit to the tech team. Amazing job.
01:43It was miraculous to see that we got Emirates GBR back on the water.
01:49But if we can talk about Mubadala Brazil and Team USA, they have a bit more major repairs to be done.
01:57Do you have any of the latest information on when we can see them on the water next?
02:02I think there's a good chance Mubadala Brazil will be racing in Saint-Tropez, so that's great news.
02:09The U.S. boat is a bigger repair, but we will do everything we can to get that boat on the water as soon as we can.
02:18You know, hopefully for Saint-Tropez.
02:21All right, heading into Saint-Tropez, it's a favorite of the tour.
02:24Do you have any predictions going into it?
02:26Yeah, I mean, the amazing thing is that we've had six different teams win events this year with France winning this latest event.
02:35So, it's wide open.
02:37You've got, obviously, the top three teams, Australia, New Zealand, Emirates GBR, and Spain close behind.
02:46But now France is knocking on the door.
02:48I think they've got an outside shot of making the podium at the end of the year.
02:54Amazing. Thank you so much for your time, Russell.
02:56Thank you.
