ലോകേഷ് കനകരാജ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത രജനീകാന്ത് ചിത്രം കൂലി തീയേറ്ററുകളിൽ പ്രദർശനം തുടരുന്നതിനിടെ ചെന്നൈ തുറമുഖത്തെ യഥാർത്ഥ കൂലി തൊഴിലാളികൾക്കായി പ്രത്യേക പ്രദർശനം ഒരുക്കി വൺഇന്ത്യ. ചെന്നൈ തുറമുഖത്ത് നിന്നും വെള്ളിത്തിരയിലേക്ക്' (From Chennai Harbour to the Big Screen) എന്ന് പേരിട്ട പരിപാടിയിലൂടെ സിനിമയിലെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും യഥാർത്ഥ ജീവിതത്തിലെ നായകൻമാരും തമ്മിലുള്ള അകലത്തിൽ ആദരത്തിന്റെയും സന്തോഷത്തിന്റെയും പാലം പണിയാനാണ് പരിപാടിയിലൂടെ ശ്രമിച്ചത്. സ്‌ക്രീനിൽ പറയുന്ന കഥകളില്‍ മാത്രമല്ല, എല്ലാ ദിവസവും നിശബ്ദതയിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്ന കഥകളുടെയും ശക്തിയിലും വണ്‍ ഇന്ത്യ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് പരിപാടിയുടെ ആശയം വിശദീകരിച്ച് കൊണ്ട് വൺഇന്ത്യയുടെ സിഇഒ ആയ എൻ രാവണൻ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. യഥാർത്ഥ ജീവിതങ്ങളെയും യഥാർത്ഥ പോരാട്ടങ്ങളെയും യഥാർത്ഥ ഭാരതത്തെയും ബഹുമാനിക്കാനുള്ള വൺഇന്ത്യയുടെ മാതൃകയാണ് ഇതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. ചെന്നൈ തുറമുഖത്തെ 100 കൂലി തൊഴിലാളികൾക്കൊപ്പം വണ്‍ഇന്ത്യയുടെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട 50 വയനാക്കാർക്കും ഇവരോടൊപ്പം ചിത്രം കാണാന്‍ അവസരം കിട്ടിയിരുന്നു. കൂലി സ്പെഷ്യൽ മത്സരത്തിലൂടെയാണ് 50 വായനക്കാരെ പ്രത്യേക പ്രദർശനത്തിലേക്ക് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്. A special screening of Coolie, Rajinikanth film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was organized by Oneindia for real-life porters from Chennai harbor while the film was still running in theaters. The event, titled "From Chennai Harbour to the Big Screen'' aimed to bridge the gap between the characters on screen and the real-life heroes, building a bridge of respect and joy. N Ravanan, CEO of Oneindia, explained the idea behind the event, stating that Oneindia believes in the power of stories not just told on screen but also in the silent, everyday lives of people. He added that this initiative is Oneindia's way of honoring real lives, real struggles, and the real Bharat. The screening was attended by 100 porters from the Chennai harbor, along with 50 selected Oneindia readers. The readers were chosen for the special screening through an open contest.
