Tesla sales in China rose 4.5% in the week of August 11th to 17th, according to data shared by analyst Roland Pircher. The EV giant recorded 14,000 new insured registrations, marking a 60% jump from the prior quarter and the highest week of the quarter so far. The week was Tesla’s best-performing in the current quarter, though sales remain down 9.5% year-over-year and 5.9% year-to-date. Tesla recently launched the Model Y L, a six-seater SUV priced at 339,000 $47,184 with a 467-mile range. The company plans to release the long-range Model 3+ sedan with about 500 miles of range. Globally, sales are under pressure, with UK July deliveries down 60%, while Norway registered a 24% increase in the first half of 2024.
