Tesla reported 10,300 new insured registrations in China from August 18th to the 24, down 27.5% year-over-year, according to data from Roland Pircher. Despite the drop, third-quarter registrations remain 47.9% higher than the prior quarter. Tesla recorded more than 14,000 registrations last week and introduced the 6-seater Model Y L in China, with a long-range Model 3+ launch planned. Tesla is facing Model Y inventory shortages in several U.S. cities and has rolled out $0 down leases for used Model 3 and Model Y units in California and Texas.
