Tesla has discontinued the rear-wheel drive long-range Cybertruck trim just five months after launch, Electrek reported. The $69,990 model, which offered 362 miles of range, is no longer listed on Tesla’s website. Only the standard all-wheel drive and $114,990 Cyberbeast trims remain available. The move comes as Tesla reportedly sits on more than 10,000 unsold Cybertrucks in the U.S., despite a shift in marketing to position it as a lifestyle product. Tesla’s U.S. EV market share recently fell below 40% for the first time since 2017, while European sales declined 40.2% in August as rival BYD surged 225% in the region. In China, Tesla’s Model Y L six-seater has received 120,000 orders since launch, and the company logged 14,300 new insured registrations in the first week of September, though sales are still down 12.1% year-over-year.
