00:00You know, I feel like I was just kind of, I don't know,
00:03maybe I was just like a pick me, like makeup, you know,
00:07like I only take five minutes to go out, you know,
00:10like that girl, ew.
00:12Hi Lore, this is Julia Fox and this is Night Out.
00:17I'm just gonna do like a little black smokey eye
00:21and then match it to my pink sparkly top.
00:25I like to really commit to the bit
00:27and really being character.
00:28So it's definitely easier to match makeup to outfit
00:32than match outfit to makeup.
00:34I don't usually wear pink or sparkles.
00:37So I'm in uncharted territory, but that's okay.
00:40When doing anything like black,
00:42I always say like less is more and just start by shaping
00:48and then you can build on top because I want it to be smoky.
00:52I don't want it to be graphic.
00:53I've done the graphic, it's over.
00:56Smokey's coming back.
00:57And then I like to start a little bit here
01:00just to kind of give some definition
01:01on the bridge with my nose.
01:03Um, not that much, but I'll fix it later.
01:10Okay. So it's almost like where I want it to be.
01:13And I have eyebrows right now,
01:14which is like really disorienting.
01:16I'm not gonna lie.
01:17It just feels a little limiting, you know,
01:19because my eyes like boxed in by the brow.
01:23I had a movie and my character unfortunately did not have bleached brows.
01:29Although I do have bleached brows in my next movie coming out,
01:32which is gonna be amazing.
01:34Yeah. The director was really cool.
01:35He was an ally for sure.
01:37He was like, I want you to feel comfortable.
01:39I said no man ever before.
01:42Okay.
01:44I feel like when I try to do a smokey eye,
01:47I go too far out or something.
01:49I do too.
01:50I always do.
01:51I always go a little too, too much.
01:54Then you clean it up after like all of this.
01:57I'm gonna like blend it out, but I'm gonna do it with my foundation.
02:01Not my foundation, my, my pressed powder right now.
02:05My getting ready playlist is Kylie Minogue, who I'm obsessed with.
02:11Madonna, obviously always and forever.
02:14Charlie, of course.
02:16And my newest addition, Addison Rae, obsessed with her.
02:20Chapel, Dochi, duh.
02:23JT, SZA.
02:25Every single girl you can think of, she's on the playlist.
02:28I'm actually going to do my upper waterline.
02:32It just kind of makes the lashes look longer like that.
02:39Okay.
02:39Then I want to blend this out a little bit more.
02:42Just my, my pressed powder.
02:46And it'll just kind of like take it down and blend it out a little more.
02:50So it's not like too graphic.
02:54During the Indie Sleaze era, I went out a lot.
02:59I went to Greenhouse.
03:02Before that, I went to Beatrice a lot.
03:04This place called Tenjun.
03:06LOL, if you know, you know.
03:08But I remember once I went out with this guy.
03:12We actually met that night at Kenmare.
03:15He took me to the Williamsburg Bridge and then we climbed it all the way to the top.
03:19Like on top of the, the things.
03:22It was really cute and really romantic.
03:24Oh, actually another night I fell into the Hudson River.
03:27Nope.
03:28Yeah, it was the Hudson River.
03:29I was like, wait, was it the East River?
03:31Completely fell into the Hudson River and lost my Mew Mew slides.
03:35And I was really upset about that.
03:37My beauty looks then were actually very minimal.
03:45Like I didn't really get into eyeshadow until like pretty recently.
03:49Never had the patience to like sit and do my makeup.
03:53I was always just like a mascara eyeliner.
03:55Little bit of concealer where I needed it.
03:58And like lipstick.
04:00My go-to back then was Ruby Woo.
04:02Just very Indie Sleaze of me.
04:04Now doing makeup for me is like a creative expression and it is kind of like a good time.
04:10So you just kind of evolve and discover new things about yourself.
04:14And I find makeup like very therapeutic.
04:17How would you describe the different eras of makeup that you've had thus far?
04:21You know, I feel like I was just kind of, I don't know.
04:24Maybe I was just like a pick me like makeup.
04:27You know, like I only take five minutes to go out, you know, like that girl, ew.
04:33And then I don't know if something changed.
04:34And now I take my time and I don't care.
04:37And I don't care if men like a no makeup look.
04:41I like a makeup look.
04:42And I'm still like changing and evolving.
04:45And I always want to try new things and not like pigeonhole myself in one look or one vibe.
04:52I use makeup to express who I am.
04:56People should feel comfortable doing that.
04:58So I don't really hop on like beauty trends or kind of just do whatever I want.
05:03Okay.
05:04Now I'm going to go in with some white and just hit like right there.
05:09And then I'll blend that out too.
05:10And a little bit right there.
05:13Same on the other side.
05:15Give some highlights, some definition.
05:18A little too much.
05:19Okay, cute.
05:24I'm going to do my brow because I over plucked my brows.
05:29And now they're sitting kind of weird.
05:33Motherhood changes every little thing about you.
05:37Like sometimes I feel like I'm in like a stranger's body.
05:40Time goes by so fast.
05:41And sometimes I don't recognize myself in the mirror.
05:46But it's worth it.
05:50Cornith Paltrow just said that she regrets not having more kids.
05:53And that had me thinking like because I've been so against having a second.
05:57And then I was like, wait, am I going to regret prioritizing all these kind of like frivolous things?
06:03It's just so hard, you know, because I feel like as women, this is we're in an unprecedented space right now.
06:10We work, we have careers, we're independent.
06:12You know, up until 30 years ago, we couldn't even have credit cards.
06:15So it's like we're kind of the pioneers in trying to make this thing work and to prove that it can work.
06:20But it definitely comes with a lot of sacrifice and a lot of hard work and very little sleep.
06:28And, you know, when my son is like holding my hand to fall asleep and telling me how much he loves me.
06:34And it's like the best.
06:36It's like, I want 10 of you.
06:38The only thing that's really changed about glamming as a mom is that now my son has to be involved,
06:45you know, because he looks at like a palette like this and things like, oh, it's like watercolors, you know.
06:51So I'll just pretend to put like a little powder on the brush and then like do him too
06:56and just kind of make it like a fun bonding thing for us.
07:00Okay, now I want to kind of liven it up a little bit.
07:06And since I'm wearing this pink sparkly number, I'm going to go in with this Isamaya lip gloss
07:14and just put some on my finger and dab it on my eyelids.
07:20Give it a nice little pop.
07:23And they love like a wet, like greasy eyelid.
07:30Is it translating?
07:31Okay, good.
07:33And then a little on there.
07:35That just looks so much better.
07:36And I like like the translucentness of it.
07:39I'll put some on my lip too.
07:44Yeah, that's so cute.
07:49Okay, I'm just going to go in and put some blush right here
07:53and give it like a little baby doll look.
07:55I know this is not the correct brush.
07:57The makeup community is going to kill me.
08:04I'm just going to put some mascara.
08:08I'm going with this mop mascara that I love.
08:15Okay.
08:19All right, I think I am ready to hit the town.
08:23Thanks for having me, Allure.
08:27Okay.
