00:00Hello and welcome. Let's get you up to speed on the latest news. The Valley Suns have officially
00:06announced that Paul Jesperson will take on the role of head coach for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
00:12Last season, Jesperson contributed to the team as an assistant coach under John Little,
00:17who has since been elevated to a position within the NBA staff of the Suns.
00:22Before being named head coach of the Valley Suns, Jesperson had been selected to join the
00:27coaching staff of the Sacramento Kings for the 2025-26 season. The Valley Suns serve as the
00:34G League affiliate for the Phoenix Suns and are set to begin their second season at Mullet Arena.
00:40Brendan Sabine, the general manager of the Valley Suns, expressed confidence in Jesperson's
00:45capabilities, stating, Paul is prepared to advance in his career as he transitions into the head coach
00:51position. His experience and background align perfectly with our goal of using the G League
00:56as a crucial development platform for both Suns and Valley Suns players. He is an ideal candidate
01:02for this role and I am eager to witness the influence he will have as head coach.
01:06So who exactly is Paul Jesperson? Before this, Jesperson held a position as a player development
01:12and assistant coach for the Oklahoma Sooners. He served as a development coach for the Atlanta
01:16Hawks for two seasons. During his time in college, he gained recognition for making a game-winning shot

01:28number 6 seed Texas in the opening round. Additionally, he was a member of the Virginia
01:33Cavaliers basketball team from 2011 to 2013. What achievements did the Valley Suns accomplish last
01:40year? In the previous season, Jesperson played a key role in leading the Valley Suns to secure a spot
01:46in the playoffs, finishing the regular season with a record of 20 wins and 14 losses. They successfully
01:52advanced past the first round of the playoffs by defeating the Santa Cruz Warriors. Moreover,
01:57the team excelled in the NBA G League, leading the league with an impressive average of 16.2 three-point
