00:00Welcome to an exciting update for all basketball fans. Frank Kaminsky the former center for the
00:06Phoenix Suns has been appointed as a television analyst for the home games of the G League Valley
00:10Suns as announced by the team on Wednesday and he will be working alongside Brayden Bell who serves
00:17as the play-by-play broadcaster. Known by the nickname Frank the Tank Kaminsky spent three
00:23of his eight seasons in the NBA with the Suns and was part of the team that reached the Western
00:28Conference Championship in 2021. The seven-foot player from Wisconsin last played in the NBA
00:34during the 2022-23 season with the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets and he was also included in
00:41the Suns training camp roster for the 2024-25 season participating in four preseason games before
00:48being released from the official team roster. During his time with Phoenix Kaminsky averaged 8.2
00:53points and 4.3 rebounds. Upon receiving the invitation to join the training camp roster he
00:59expressed his excitement stating that the Valley was back where I wanted to be all along. Brayden
01:04Bell, Kaminsky's broadcasting partner, is returning for his second season as the voice of the Valley
01:09Suns and last season Bell also contributed to select broadcasts for the Phoenix Mercury.
01:16All 24 home games for the Suns G League affiliate will be broadcast on Arizona's family sports starting
01:22with the home opener at Mullet Arena on November 14th against the Rip City Remix. Additionally,
01:29any game aired on this over-the-air channel will also be accessible through the Suns streaming service,
01:35Suns Plus. This season, a selection of 19 home and away games will be featured on ESPN Plus and the first
01:42game available nationally will take place on November 19th when the team faces the Stockton Kings on the road.
01:48Arizona fans may feel disappointed as Kaminsky and his Wisconsin Badgers eliminated the Arizona Wildcats
01:54in the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight in consecutive years, 2014 and 2015, and during the 2014-15 season,
02:02Kaminsky earned the title of Consensus National Player of the Year. Remarkably, Kaminsky remains the only
02:08NCAA Division I men's basketball player to achieve an average of at least 17 points, 8 rebounds,
02:152 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game in a single season. What are your thoughts on this new role
02:21for Frank the Tank?
