00:00Mr. Mayor, you talked about mobilizing the mass shooting plan after what happened in
00:05Crown Heights.
00:06Just wondered if you had an update on your faith leaders and violence interrupters.
00:10Say it a little loud, I didn't hear you.
00:11I'm sorry.
00:12Sure.
00:12You talked about mobilizing a mass shooting plan after what happened in Crown Heights,
00:16faith leaders, members of the NYPD, violence interrupters.
00:19Did you have an update today?
00:20I got it.
00:21I'm going to go on.
00:22Yes.
00:23A.T. Mitchell, who is part of Man Up and Pastor Monroe's, are coordinating for a full
00:31mobilization.
00:32They actually started over the weekend.
00:34And what that looks like is a combination of going out and speaking to the family members,
00:40friends and associates, because you don't want retaliatory shooters.
00:43That's what happens oftentimes when you have shooters in general, but specifically when
00:49their gang-involved shootings, as we are seeing the presence of gangs that were in this shooting.
00:56And their procedures is really just to hit the streets, talk to friends and family members
01:04that's associated, and really calms the nerve of the residents who are impacted.
01:08Yesterday, when I was at the scene, I met with some of the crisis management team members,
01:15and they were already on the ground doing that shooting response mobilization.
