00:00I'm off topics.
00:05I just wanted to get your comment on the four Bronx shootings in 12 hours last night,
00:12what you're doing about it, residents feel unsafe.
00:15What else can you tell us?
00:16One was delivering packages.
00:17Yeah, and we've been witnessing these acts of violence in the Bronx.
00:24We saw over the weekend as well.
00:27The commissioner reached out.
00:28We're going to put in place a full mobilization plan.
00:34You know, the issue with the Bronx, we're seeing gangs and young shooters and recidivism.
00:42That's a terrible equation.
00:45And all that we've done to bring down the numbers in the Bronx,
00:50to see shooters like this back-to-back in one of the incidents,
00:55as we believe it was an innocent bystander, is alarming.
00:59And we're going to have the chief up there come up with a full plan of how we're going to identify some of these locations and some of the gangs.
01:08That's why we have to be proactive with this stuff,
01:11because these young people are getting more and more involved in gang behavior,
01:16and they are finding themselves having just an overproliferation of guns that are coming into our city.
01:23You know, when you take 23,000 guns off the street and you're still able to have access to guns,
01:29that's a real national problem that must be addressed.
01:32But the team is doing a full mobilization plan up in the Bronx to address this.
