00:00Hello everyone, the Fever now 18-15 are looking to close out a successful homestand as they get
00:06ready to take on the Washington Mystics who sit at 14-18 this Friday evening. After a commanding
00:1222-point win over the Sky on Saturday, the Fever suffered a narrow 81-80 defeat to Dallas on
00:18Tuesday. In a dramatic finish, Indiana mounted a huge comeback in the final 7 minutes, outscoring
00:23Dallas 19-3, but ultimately fell just short. The Fever struggled with ball distribution in that
00:29game, tallying only 15 assists while committing 18 turnovers, an area they'll look to improve in their
00:35next matchup. All-star guard Kelsey Mitchell, currently the WNBA's third-leading scorer at 20
00:40points per game, has been on fire during this homestand, averaging 25 points per contest.
00:46With Kaitlin Clark still recovering from a groin injury, and both Ari McDonald and Sidney Coulson
00:51out for the season, Mitchell has taken on extra ball-handling duties for the Fever. The Mystics
00:56are currently 10th, trailing Seattle by 1.5 games for the final playoff spot, and despite losing
01:02five of their last six, they're still in the hunt. At the trade deadline, Washington traded
01:07leading scorer Brittany Sykes to the storm for Alicia Clark and a 20-26 first-round pick. Rookie
01:13Sonia Citron has stepped up, now leading the Mystics with 14.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, shooting
01:1846.5% from the field, and 38.6% from three. Tell me, was this helpful?
