00:00Is it happening again? Is it another swoon after the trade deadline?

00:03It was masked by a sweep of the Astros.

00:06But is it happening again for however many years in a row to Alex Cora and the Red Sox in August where they drop off?

00:12Yeah, I choose to say no. This is not going to happen.

00:18You know, you got to still look back. That Houston series was great.

00:21Kansas City, they at least win the series.

00:23San Diego and Houston, good teams, good pitchers, pretty good lineups.

00:28Obviously, disappointing stretch where, you know, in those series you go two and four.

00:35Needs to be better, but I think it will be.

00:36I mean, Miami coming into town, they're not great.

00:39They pitch pretty well. They got some guys that can rung up some strikeouts.

00:43So I would expect the over in some of these games.

00:46But they're below 500 team. Red Sox are a really good home team.

00:50That is one thing that stands out, right?

00:52Almost a little too good.

00:53Maybe too good. Maybe they can only win at home.

00:55Some of these college football teams, they're 39 and 22 at home.

00:59They're 27 and 34 on the road.

01:01And it's like, yeah, with all the accusations that have gone against the Red Sox,

01:05maybe they're just a little too good at Fenway Park.

01:07So Miami, Miami, Miami, and then two with Baltimore over the next five.

01:11I mean, they should go four and one probably over this next five-game stretch.

01:16If they don't, you're making any bets or no?

01:19No? Any predictions?

01:20I will pee on our kid.

01:22No, I feel like right now you've got to look at them and say,

01:26the trade deadline feels like it was more disappointing to us than it was the players.

01:31Where in previous years, the deadline was very disappointing to the players.

01:34Cora got upset about it and they went into a tank.

01:36This year it feels like it's different.

01:37And maybe part of it is just having Roman Anthony and having Alex Bregman,

01:41having Garrett Crochet.

01:41And not just how good those players are, but maybe their attitudes and everything else.

01:46And just a true ace.

01:49I know he didn't look like it his last time out,

01:50but I'll take my chances with him going forward, including on Sunday.

01:54Bregman, a guy who's made the playoffs every year of his career after his rookie year,

01:58is sort of used to these games mattering.

02:00And then somebody like Roman Anthony is just kind of riding this wave of his great rookie year.

02:05All those reasons, I think it is different from previous years.

02:09It doesn't mean I'm not looking at the standings and be like,

02:11I'm in a Cleveland one again?

02:12That's getting a little close for comfort.

02:14It is just tightening up a little bit more than you'd like.
