00:01This is not a holiday camp.
00:04This is a business proposition from heaven.
00:08Lord Sugar is searching for a brand-new business partner.
00:13Forget about Brexit. In this process,
00:15I'm the one who decides who's going to remain
00:18and who's going to leave.
00:20Competing for his cash.
00:23Millionaire moguls in the making.
00:26This is a bloody shambles.
00:28It was boring, boring, boring.
00:30There was no bloody strategy.
00:32We need to go now. Run.
00:34Oh, my God.
00:35It's a prize worth fighting for.
00:38Can you actually physically do it? No.
00:40Your behaviour is ridiculous.
00:4218 candidates.
00:44Are you putting any input or are you just trying to stray away
00:46from actually making a decision yourself?
00:4812 tough tasks.
00:50Are we going to win this?
00:52One life-changing investment.
00:55You're fired. You're fired.
00:57You didn't follow the money. You're fired.
01:07Previously...
01:08I want you to acquire nine items.
01:11The team that has spent the least amount of money will win.
01:14Sergeant led one team...
01:16I'm from London, so I'll be project manager.
01:18...in different directions.
01:20Is EC1 anywhere near E14?
01:23As Harrison hit a dead end...
01:25It's at five. It's at five.
01:27..the team's chances stalled.
01:29Where are they?
01:31On the other team...
01:32Good luck, everybody.
01:34...Joanna was in the driving seat.
01:36In terms of negotiation, I'll be leading it and I'll be closing it.
01:39...Elizabeth and Bushra had a bumpy ride.
01:42You don't actually own up to what you've done and I'm actually tired of that.
01:45What would you like me to do and I will do it?
01:47Be professional.
01:48And despite a last-minute U-turn...
01:51Go, go, go!
01:52...Joanna's team won the day.
01:54They managed to get all nine items for £210.
01:57But for Sarah-Jane, a caution.
01:59I would say your style is no fireworks, no disasters.
02:02On the losing team...
02:04A Japanese tourist who just got off a plane would have worked his way round London better than you lot.
02:09...Harrison was almost towed away.
02:11I don't know, did you just talk a good game or what?
02:13But it was Ross...
02:14What did you do?
02:15I knew that you'd ask me that.
02:17Did you?
02:18...who became the fifth casualty of the boardroom.
02:21You are a fish out of water.
02:23Ross, you're fired.
02:24Now, 13 remain to fight for the chance to become...
02:29...Lord Sugar's business partner.
02:385am.
02:45Hello.
02:46Lord Sugar would like you to make your way to the docks in Southampton.
02:49Please pack an overnight bag. The cars will be leaving in 30 minutes.
02:52The port of Southampton.
02:54Thank you very much.
02:55Goodbye.
02:57We're going overseas.
02:58Guys, pass port!
03:00We're going overseas!
03:04We're going to Southampton.
03:07Southampton!
03:11We're going on a cruise.
03:13You're cracking all my knickers.
03:14Oh my God, what are you expecting to happen?
03:17I think it's a cruise ship.
03:30Do you reckon?
03:31I don't know where the port of Southampton and where it goes to,
03:33but I'm thinking maybe somewhere in Europe,
03:35but I'm not entirely sure.
03:36But I'm excited.
03:40Southampton.
03:41Home to the UK's largest cruise ship, Britannia.
03:47Britannia.
03:56Well, good morning.
03:57I'm sorry I can't be with you today,
03:58but I have been called away on urgent business.
04:01You may be wondering why you are stood on board this beautiful ship.
04:05Well, shortly, this ship, along with all of you,
04:09will be departing for the historic city of Bruges in Belgium.
04:15So, your next task is to plan and execute a tour of Bruges.
04:21You'll need to sell tickets and give your clients the best possible experience.
04:26Now, let me give you a warning.
04:27If your tour is not shipshape, your clients could ask for their money back.
04:32The winner will be the team that makes the most profit.
04:35But on the losing team, at least one of you will be fired.
04:39Bon voyage, and I'll see you back in the boardroom in a few days' time.
04:44Now, Lord Sugar would like to shake the teams up a bit.
04:47So, from Graphene, would Jade, Sarah Jane and Anissa please go over to Vitality?
04:52And from Vitality, would Sarah, Sargent and Harrison please move over to Graphene?
04:57Now, Karen will be following Vitality and I will be following Graphene.
05:06So, good luck and off you go.
05:09With almost 3,000 passengers on board, excursions on shore are big business.
05:21Charge more for the tickets than the tour costs to run and there's a pretty profit to be made.
05:28Welcome, ladies, to Vitality.
05:31First job, choose a skipper.
05:34I'll just kick this one straight off. I'm happy to be project manager.
05:37I think I'll bring everyone together. I know everyone's strengths and weaknesses.
05:40Not necessarily weaknesses.
05:41So, yeah, I think I'll be a good project manager on this one.
05:44Unless anyone else wants to put the hat in.
05:46I'll stand myself forward as well.
05:48I've got the leadership skills and I've been on a cruise before.
05:50I'm going to back Sarah.
05:52OK. Oh, yeah.
05:53No questions.
05:54Yeah, give me.
05:55Brilliant.
05:57Karen was quite negative about myself in the last boardroom.
06:00So, obviously, I need to prove myself.
06:02Even though this isn't within retail, I do feel like I can really show off my skills within this one.
06:06Obviously, we've got to do the team split.
06:08So, sales team, I was thinking Jade, Andrew and Michaela,
06:12because you're all very strong on sales.
06:14And Charles, Anissa and myself on the planning team.
06:17So, I think we'll have a really good split.
06:19Yeah. No, I agree.
06:20Heading up the other team...
06:21Myself, Sergeant Joanna and Harrison on the tour team.
06:24Florist, Elizabeth.
06:26And I'm thinking as far as the sub team, James, Boucher and Sarah.
06:29Next, decide what type of tour to run.
06:33Would you like to look at modern Bruges?
06:35With a place like this, I don't think new modern...
06:37No.
06:38I think the beauty of this place is the fact that it's got a lot of history behind it.
06:41OK.
06:42If you look at the modern juxtaposition of the architecture versus the historical position of the architecture,
06:46the two mounts off each other quite well.
06:48We can give people a very good coherent day out and that's something we can sell very well.
06:52I mean, if you feel more comfortable with that, then we should go with that.
06:57OK. Modern.
07:01I really like the idea of history only because it's a historic town.
07:05And if you was going on holiday, you'd want to know about the town.
07:08That's why you're there.
07:09I think with history, we need to be careful, though,
07:11because whoever's going to give the talk has to be absolutely spot on with the facts.
07:15Because you might have someone on board.
07:17I was thinking a niece there would be really good.
07:18Would you be happy with that?
07:20Obviously, we'll talk about it later.
07:21I think you're just very entertaining.
07:23The only thing I'm concerned about is the facts and figures.
07:25I'm pretty good at facts and figures.
07:26I can absolutely assist you with that.
07:27Yeah, I can ship in.
07:28You know, no problem whatsoever.
07:30On Elizabeth's team...
07:31I'm thinking if you're doing something modern, you should do Segway.
07:34...pick an activity to help pull in the punters.
07:37Segways marry better with modern.
07:39Is that carries?
07:40Yeah.
07:41Next, to provide a flavour of Flanders...
07:43Belgium's always been known for having the best chocolate in the world.
07:46..the tours can take in a tasting.
07:48When in Belgium, why not go...
07:49Buy chocolate.
07:50Yeah, exactly. It makes perfect sense.
07:51So, is that unanimous?
07:52Yeah.
07:53Sounds good.
07:54Right, guys, two things.
07:55In Flemish, woi oi is hello, and tink val is thank you.
07:59Remember that, it will serve you very well.
08:01Tink val.
08:02For Sarah Jane's team...
08:03I think we should go for the horse and tram.
08:05I think it's in-fitting with what we're actually going for.
08:08Activity decided.
08:09Now, choose what to sample.
08:12Looking at Belgium, it's known for its waffles.
08:15Yeah.
08:16There's beer as well.
08:17What do you guys think about?
08:18So, I actually used to give tasting experiences on beer.
08:20And I've been on tequila tasting, wine tasting, vodka tasting, gin tasting.
08:26Yeah, anything alcohol, I'll do a tasting.
08:29I think the beer's a really nice idea.
08:31Shall we go with beer, then?
08:32OK, Sab?
08:33Yeah.
08:34This is going to be an easy sell.
08:36You could sell this based on the beer tasting event, I think.
08:38But the other things are just additional extras.
08:40It's going to be great.
08:41I can't wait.
08:42Sounds great.
08:43Cheers.
08:44Good luck.
08:456pm.
08:46While half of each team plan their tours...
08:48We're taking these people on a walk around Bruges.
08:51For the rest, sell 16 tickets...
08:53I was thinking it might be £100 a ticket.
08:55...before heading ashore tomorrow.
08:57When I was in UK, I went on a Segway tour.
08:59It cost me £40 for an hour.
09:01OK, now that's the thing.
09:02I don't...
09:03I'm not sure how long they're going to last.
09:04We need to ideally speak with the team and confirm that.
09:06Yeah.
09:07So we've got 16 tickets in total, yeah?
09:09Yeah.
09:10I mean, we could always start perhaps at £55 a ticket and come in...
09:13And then come down to 50.
09:14I mean, I'd pay £55 for a Segway tour.
09:17Cool.
09:18Let's go and do this.
09:19Perfect.
09:20Cool.
09:21Let's go.
09:22Mapping out their excursion...
09:24I'm quite happy to introduce the tour.
09:26Project manager Elizabeth...
09:28What I'd like us all to do is engage our tour group as we go.
09:31...takes control.
09:33Now, what I'm thinking is, there's four of us.
09:35Mm-hm.
09:36So it would work if we picked out four places,
09:39and each of those places someone knows some key facts about
09:43them, so that then we've not got too much to do.
09:45Can I just say that it has to be enjoyable for them?
09:48Yeah.
09:49If it feels like we're just, you know, regurgitating information,
09:51then it won't seem as if it's like an experience.
09:55Right.
09:56What we need to do is get that map on there.
09:58OK.
09:59Joanna, can you just quietly work to get yourself informed
10:01about a couple of key places?
10:02And when you guys have done that, we'll come back in a couple of
10:05minutes and start talking the options through.
10:07Is that OK?
10:08The strategy going forward is giving everybody small, manageable chunks.
10:12And if everybody does their small, manageable chunk,
10:14it allows them to support other people in their chunks,
10:16and together we can draw a tapestry and get this job done together.
10:22Where's the St John's Hospital?
10:24That place.
10:25That's there.
10:26Working out where to stop on their history tour.
10:29Oh.
10:30Go on.
10:31It's home to seven Benedictine nuns.
10:33Sarah Jane's team.
10:35Anissa, I think you will be great at leading the tour.
10:38And then, Charles, if you could do the logistics.
10:40First, I think we need to sort the route out,
10:42and then we'll go with the facts on it.
10:43Because we need to know where we're going to be able to tighten
10:45with the facts.
10:46Yeah, perfect. Let's go.
10:47I want to work out the distances.
10:48OK, so we're starting here.
10:49Yeah.
10:50Now, let's have a little look here.
10:52I need to memorise stuff because I'm just concerned that...
10:55Yeah, don't look.
10:56At the end of the day, you need to turn up and need to know
10:57where we're going, and then we can talk about it.
10:59I would say that walks 12 minutes.
11:01I'm going to go this way here.
11:03It's about there.
11:05And then across.
11:06See what I mean?
11:07I just think we're fanning about.
11:09We don't need to fanning about.
11:10Let's get this really into the mat really quickly.
11:12Anita does seem a little bit worried.
11:13She keeps expressing that she's got a lot of facts to learn.
11:16But that is her key job tomorrow,
11:18so there's nothing else for her to focus on other than that.
11:20Let's just calm down, first of all.
11:22I think we're all a bit...
11:23Once we've done this,
11:24then we're literally going to help you on the facts.
11:26I'll help you on the facts. Go on.
11:28On Elizabeth's sub-team...
11:32Guys, how do you fancy a Segway tour tomorrow?
11:35..pitching a modern tour of Bruges...
11:38So we've got a Segway tour around the city.
11:40..recruitment firm owner, James.
11:43What they say is that more thrilling way to actually see the city
11:46without having to walk around it.
11:47It's true, we don't like walking.
11:49There you are then.
11:50There's no better way, is there?
11:52So, two for £100.
11:53Yeah.
11:54Are you interested?
11:55Come on.
11:56Great, there you are. Go on then.
11:58Perfect.
11:59Brilliant.
12:00Brilliant. Perfect.
12:01For all the brilliance of James's patter,
12:03I think there is a problem here.
12:05They've talked a lot about Segways,
12:06but where's the modern Bruges?
12:08Where's the tour of the city?
12:09They've barely mentioned that.
12:11Do we want a very quick call with Elizabeth
12:13to just confirm our strategy?
12:14What time is it?
12:157.15.
12:16Right.
12:17No call.
12:18100%.
12:19Let's do it.
12:20Let's do it.
12:21All right.
12:22Tasked with finding takers for their history tour...
12:25We'll take you on a beer tasting,
12:27a history slash tasting event.
12:30Jade, Michaela and Andrew.
12:32So we give you some beers from Belgium,
12:34we'll tell you about them.
12:35The package at the moment is £175 per couple.
12:38How many drinks?
12:39Well, we'll see you right.
12:40Don't you worry about that.
12:41We'll see you right.
12:42Even if you have had a skin full,
12:44don't worry about it.
12:45We'll get you back.
12:46Shall we get your details and get you signed on?
12:48Yes.
12:49Yeah?
12:50Yeah.
12:51Andrew is selling this tour on the basis of the beer
12:53and the promise that they'll get a lot of it.
12:55Well, that's quite a risky strategy
12:56because if he can't deliver the amount of beer he's promised,
12:59he's going to end up with some really unhappy customers.
13:01Chimay, Duvel, some really good beers,
13:04that'll get you off your nut as well.
13:067.30pm.
13:09Right, I definitely think we need to call the other team.
13:11A chance to check in.
13:13Hello?
13:14Have you started to sell the tickets?
13:16£175 for two.
13:18£90 each, almost.
13:19OK.
13:20Right, we really need to go away and start selling
13:22because, yeah, they aren't going to sell themselves.
13:25Bye-bye.
13:26Bye.
13:27This tour's got to be good because for £87.50,
13:29you'll be expecting a lot.
13:31Look at how many pages I've got to learn.
13:33Yeah.
13:34We will also help you with the facts.
13:36It's just very important that we know what we're talking about.
13:38You know, it's got to look slick.
13:40I specified I wasn't very good at facts.
13:42Everyone's like, oh, we'll help you with the facts.
13:43I don't see anyone helping with the facts.
13:45I'm left with the facts.
13:46And we're selling a historical tour for £85 per ticket.
13:49I'm really pissed off.
13:51On the other team...
13:55This person's phone is switched off.
13:58..no answer from James.
14:00I would have liked to have spoken to them to make sure
14:02they're 100% informed, but if they're selling well,
14:05they'll be doing a good job for us.
14:08What we're doing is we're taking these people for about an hour or so,
14:11give them a walk, get them to the chocolate shop,
14:14then we've got to walk them up to the Segway place.
14:16She's here.
14:17Then they're going to have a whip round on a Segway
14:18and then we get them back to...
14:19Walk them back.
14:20Yeah.
14:21Yeah, no, that sounds good to me.
14:228.30pm.
14:25We need to crack on now.
14:27For both teams...
14:28Right, I'm going in.
14:29..final chance to find customers.
14:32Change your plans if you've got any.
14:34Come with us.
14:35We're going on a beer tasting event.
14:37We have got something fantastic for you tomorrow.
14:40Have you ever been on a Segway?
14:41We've got a brilliant beer tasting experience.
14:44Segway, Segway, I can see you both on a Segway.
14:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:48And we do have the walking tour with the train tour guides.
14:51I don't know if you've heard all the Segways.
14:54No.
14:55We'll do it for £50 a head, deal?
14:57Yeah.
14:58Fantastic.
14:59Lovely, we'll get you signed up.
15:00Perfect.
15:01So easy to sell a Segway.
15:02So do you think it'd be something that you'd be interested in joining?
15:04No, we've never done it, so yeah.
15:06Thanks, guys.
15:07See you tomorrow.
15:089pm.
15:10Tomorrow, half of each team will run the tour.
15:13Hi, guys.
15:14Hi, team.
15:15The rest will negotiate a price for the tasting experience.
15:18What have you done there? How many tickets have you got?
15:20We've sold ten tickets.
15:21At what price?
15:22We've sold...
15:23An average of £82.50 each.
15:24That's amazing.
15:25Wow.
15:26It needs to be clinical to my mouth.
15:28So what I'm going to do, I'm going to swap with you.
15:30You, me and you?
15:31Yeah.
15:32Brilliant.
15:33You're going to be amazing.
15:34Hey!
15:35Come on, Charles.
15:36I think you'll be amazing at the beer tasting.
15:37Obviously, these two will get you up to speed.
15:38And then, obviously, us three can go out and negotiate.
15:40Yeah.
15:41You're just going to make sure that your customer service is on point.
15:43I'm really feeling the pressure that I have to deliver tomorrow.
15:46Because right now, I only have facts for half of the tour.
15:49And I'm struggling.
15:52So I feel completely unprepared.
15:57How are we doing?
15:58A lot of people already had excursions booked and stuff.
16:00So, I mean...
16:01How many sales have you achieved?
16:02I don't believe that first.
16:03How many?
16:04We still did it!
16:05Guys, seriously.
16:0616.
16:07We sold all 16.
16:08How much did you sell each tour?
16:0950 quid.
16:1050 quid.
16:11And then the last two with two minutes to go were 40 quid each.
16:13Right.
16:14I've got a lot of key information I've got to get through.
16:16I appreciate you more than you can possibly imagine.
16:18But we'll say thank you in a minute.
16:20Right.
16:21Tomorrow, we've got a simple tour sorted out.
16:24We've got that sorted.
16:25Good.
16:26Can you tell us what the tour is?
16:27It's a very simple tour.
16:28On Segways.
16:29No.
16:30What do you mean?
16:31Right, let me tell you.
16:32The tour is...
16:33No, no, it has to be Segways.
16:34Let me tell you.
16:35The tour is this.
16:36We have a walking tour of three stops.
16:38Then we go to the chocolates.
16:39Yeah.
16:40Then we go to the Segways.
16:41All right, well, we've told everybody that they walk, they go and then they get on the Segways.
16:44I'm sure we can manage expectations.
16:48My biggest concern for tomorrow will be that the tour doesn't stack up with what we've sold
16:52and how the guests will respond to that.
16:54But I'm hoping that it's well received and that we can manage it.
16:57Okay, guys, we're going to do great.
16:58Let's get it done.
16:59Yeah.
17:07Visited by eight million people a year, the picturesque city of Bruges.
17:12Today, half of each team will be tour guides.
17:15Come on over, let's have you.
17:18Taking charge of the modern tour...
17:20Is everybody nice and close so they can hear me?
17:23Project manager, Elizabeth.
17:25Yes.
17:26Okay.
17:27Now, if I can't see your eyes, you can't see me.
17:28Right, guys, good morning.
17:30My name's Elizabeth and we're going to lead the tour around Bruges today.
17:34We do need to be quite punctual because we've got to get you guys to the Segway tour for two to start it.
17:41Now, is everybody watered them into the loo and all that sort of thing?
17:45You're all good to go, yeah?
17:46Yes.
17:47Brilliant.
17:48Okay, I think we're ready to go.
17:49The thing I'm most worried about is timing.
17:51We need to keep these people moving and if we miss the chocolate shop and the Segway, what have they got?
17:56A wander around Bruges.
17:57They could have got that for free.
17:58So, is everybody ready to get going?
18:00Yes.
18:01Brilliant.
18:02We're stronger together, so let's go, yeah?
18:04Yeah.
18:05This way.
18:06Kicking off their history tour.
18:09Welcome to Bruges.
18:10Project Engineer, Andrew.
18:12The plan is we're going to take you on a little history walking tour, show you some of the sights.
18:17Then we're going to take you to the beer tasting because we thought a horse and cart is going to be even better after a few Belgian days.
18:23Do you know what I mean?
18:24So that's going to be good.
18:25And then we'll get you on a horse and cart and we'll get you back on the boat before it sails.
18:29Otherwise, we're going to have to get you on some flights.
18:31We've not got that much money.
18:32I'm obviously looking forward to the beer tasting the most because if I get to have a few myself, I'm going to be happy.
18:38If they have a good time and they feel like they've got value for money, hopefully that's going to be enough.
18:43So, fingers crossed.
18:44Testing.
18:45Oh, there we go.
18:51Onwards.
18:52Let's go.
18:53After you.
18:54While half of each team set off to see the sights.
18:57It's great if you want to get faster.
18:59The rest must secure a deal on their tasting experience.
19:02We are bringing 16 guests in there who are going to want to buy chocolate for their families and friends to take home.
19:08So I think that we try and get them to give us a selection of chocolates for each person for free.
19:13I mean, it would be lovely to push it a little bit further and even say to the owner, if whatever sales he makes, can we take a small percentage of that or to negotiate maybe 5% of anything bought in the shop.
19:2510.30am.
19:26Are we all here?
19:27Everybody together?
19:28Fantastic.
19:29Leading the way on the modern tour, Elizabeth.
19:30Right, everybody.
19:31What's the word for hello?
19:32Tell the square hello.
19:33Pardon?
19:34Better.
19:35Let's go.
19:36On the history tour team.
19:37Anissa.
19:38Yes.
19:39The last tour is actually on the left hand side here.
19:40Charles searches for St John's Hospital.
19:41Clearly we're on water.
19:42We need to just walk slightly around to get to that sort of station.
19:43Okay, let's do that.
19:44We will indeed.
19:45Yeah.
19:46One of Bruges' most popular attractions.
19:47We're lost.
19:48No, no, not at all.
19:49We're there.
19:50Just got to go around to get to the entrance.
19:51Right.
19:52You can see here, Andrew.
19:53Here, look.
19:54Definitely, definitely, definitely, we can go around.
19:55But you don't know.
19:56Not for a fact.
19:57No, no, no.
19:58No, no.
19:59No, no.
20:00No, no.
20:01No, no.
20:02No, no.
20:03No, no.
20:04No, no.
20:05No, no.
20:06No, no.
20:07No, no.
20:08No, no.
20:09No, no.
20:10No, no.
20:11No, no.
20:12No, no.
20:13No, no.
20:14No, no.
20:15Not for a fact.
20:16Just having a little bit of Matt.
20:17I think we can.
20:18I think we can.
20:19Because look, this is an entrance to it.
20:20I was in scouts, don't worry.
20:21We can.
20:22I'm going to go with it.
20:23Okay, Charles has got his intuition.
20:24We're going to go.
20:25I'm telling you we can do it.
20:26Let's do this.
20:27Charles, we're going to do it.
20:28Commit, commit.
20:29Let's go.
20:30I'm committed to this.
20:31We'll get some beer soon, guys.
20:32Don't worry.
20:37On the other half of the team.
20:39How many beers do people usually taste if they're doing it within 45 minutes?
20:43Taking the lead on beer negotiations.
20:45If you're going for a tasting paddle.
20:46Yeah.
20:47Create a little tasting glasses.
20:48This is about it.
20:49Project manager, Sarah Jane.
20:51What can you do for price-wise?
20:53So it would be 60 euros.
20:5560 euros for 10 people.
20:56For 10 people.
20:57You know, I can bring 10 tourists your way.
20:59You know, they've got money in their pockets.
21:00They can, they'll be spending.
21:01So if we could go with 50.
21:02Okay.
21:03All right.
21:04Great deal.
21:05Okay, Sarah, can I just suggest as well, maybe we could negotiate getting some bottles
21:10for them to take with them.
21:11Yeah, definitely.
21:12Right.
21:13So could we say then, as a whole package maybe, we'll do the tasting, the three little
21:17samples, and also two bottles for 95 euros?
21:21For 95, you've got yourself three tasters and two bottles to take away.
21:25Yeah.
21:26Great.
21:28Thank you very much.
21:29I don't think the server's confident in ever making decisions really by herself.
21:30Thanks, Sarah.
21:31Try.
21:32And I think if they would have just had three little samples, then nobody would be happy
21:35at that with the price that they paid.
21:36So it was important to get in some more beer for them.
21:40On the other team.
21:41So this is where the magic happens.
21:43Yes.
21:44Priority for James.
21:45It would be stunning for them to see some of this and see you're actually doing some
21:48of the magic.
21:49Lock down a sweet deal at the chocolate shop.
21:52Hopefully you'd be happy to supply complimentary chocolates.
21:56Exactly.
21:57Something like that.
21:58Perfect.
21:59The other thing I was going to say, so if we were to help with the sales and get the
22:03people buying the chocolate, would you guys be happy to come to us to negotiate a
22:08percentage of the total sales that we would bring from the 16 guests?
22:12Around the sort of five to seven percent mark of the sales.
22:16That's the idea.
22:19We just want to promote the shop and then take just a small percentage of, you know,
22:23the promotion from those tourists.
22:25I will give you something, yes.
22:27I can give you five percent.
22:30Okay.
22:31Perfect.
22:32For all James' talk and schmoozing, actually, it was Joanna.
22:36It was pressed, pushed and the owner said five percent.
22:39That's a good bit of business.
22:40Rather tasty.
22:41On the other half of the team.
22:44Guys, come on.
22:45Priority for Elizabeth.
22:47Quick as we can now.
22:48Nearly there.
22:49Speed through the sights.
22:51I just want to introduce you to the next spot.
22:53This is the Rosenhodkai.
22:55It is the most photographed part in Bruges.
22:58Take your selfies.
22:59This is definitely one to capture for the memory book.
23:02Okay, guys.
23:04I'm a little bit concerned that timeline's slipping because it's taking so long to get them to point A to point B.
23:09We've got to get them up to the market square.
23:11So the next thing is we just get them up there as quick as we possibly can, turn them around,
23:14get them back to the chocolate shop and get them to where we need to be on time.
23:17So let's get there as soon as possible so they can have them back.
23:20We're herding cats in a minute, yeah?
23:21Let's get them going.
23:22Sounds good.
23:23Cool.
23:24The thing about Elizabeth, and we've seen it in her character, is that she's meticulous.
23:27And so therefore it comes as no surprise that on this particular tour she's sticking to a timetable, very rigid.
23:32It's a bit like a school trip and she's the headmistress.
23:35But she's just about sucking all the fun out of it for the group.
23:38Okay, everybody.
23:40Shall we make a move?
23:42Come on then.
23:43Guys, we need to move.
23:45Charles, where are we going?
23:48So we're just on the other side of the lake that I wanted to be on, but it's absolutely fine.
23:52We're still parallel where I want to be.
23:54Still seeking admission to St John's Hospital, Charles.
23:59Right, Charles, are we...is this the zoo?
24:01We're getting towards it.
24:02This is literally the straight road now.
24:03Okay.
24:04And you should see us for a second.
24:05That's my idea.
24:06Perfect.
24:07Because we've literally walked in a square.
24:08That was my intention.
24:09Oh, Charles, that looks familiar.
24:11That looks familiar.
24:12They've been walking around the hospital for 30 minutes looking for the entrance.
24:19And it hasn't occurred to them that the hospital is actually inside the building.
24:23I mean, it's stupid beyond belief.
24:26So, was that the hospital over there?
24:29Yep.
24:30So maybe I should just say...
24:31Okay, so guys, we've done a big circle, which is great.
24:34Because you got to see a bit of the hospital that way.
24:37The hospital had an 800-year-old history of helping people.
24:40Paul that needed a place to come would stay in the hospital, too.
24:43And I'm now going to take you...
24:44Because basically...
24:45Oh, two seconds, sorry.
24:47I think I've got my stories mixed up.
24:51We're going to go back up to the front of the hospital.
24:54Let's go back this way.
24:56I've got mixed up with my...
24:58But I haven't, or I have.
25:03On Elizabeth's modern tour...
25:05Keep going, guys.
25:06We need to walk, not dawdle.
25:08Third stop of the day.
25:10Just going to go into the middle of the square and we'll stop there, guys.
25:13Taking the lead, Harrison.
25:16So, this is the popular market square.
25:18As you can see, we've got medieval buildings mixed in with the new,
25:22which is in keeping with the city itself.
25:24The way they've mixed in new buildings with the old is literally ingenious.
25:30You can look around, you can just see...
25:32There's people everywhere, literally.
25:38This was sold as a Segway tour around the streets of Bruges.
25:41After speaking to some of the tour group, they're pretty disappointed
25:44and I wouldn't be surprised if they asked for refunds.
25:47And beyond, let's go.
25:48Follow me, follow me.
25:50Come on, then.
25:51Right, we need to get these people moving.
25:52Can we just pick the pace up slightly?
25:5512.15pm.
25:57Charles, at what point do we realise we've gone too far and want to turn back?
26:01We haven't gone too far.
26:02We're just going around the square.
26:03Not like I don't have faith in you.
26:04No, no, no.
26:05I just feel like we've been walking for about three days now.
26:07We have not.
26:08We have not.
26:09Oh, no, we're back when we started.
26:10No, I know.
26:11I thought it was a purposeful.
26:12Because I couldn't find the entrance around the parameter.
26:14I've got deja vu, mate.
26:15I feel like I've been here before.
26:16I did it on purpose.
26:17I was trying to find if there's a front entrance to it,
26:19but I couldn't find one, so I brought you back to tell the way we were.
26:21OK.
26:22So we were trying to find St John's Hospital, and I wanted to show you that.
26:26It sounded really beautiful, but unfortunately, I don't know how I'm going to show you.
26:30We've done a massive run-around.
26:32I didn't actually get lost.
26:33What's actually occurred is we've come literally back to where we were,
26:36which is what I was trying to do.
26:38The point here is we're never lost.
26:40I just couldn't find exactly the entrance I was looking for.
26:43We're going straight here, right, and then right again.
26:45If you wanted to go that side, we need to head that way.
26:47Not that way.
26:48I'll go with you, sir.
26:50Let's go.
26:51Onward and upward.
26:52Across town.
26:53Hello.
26:54Hello.
26:55Is it Paulina?
26:56Yes.
26:57Elizabeth, lovely to meet you.
26:58Next stop for Elizabeth.
26:59Go in.
27:00In you go.
27:01Everyone come through.
27:02The chocolate shop.
27:03All right.
27:04All right.
27:05Good afternoon.
27:06First of all, I will give you a little explanation about the polity.
27:11I need to talk to you.
27:12I need to talk to you.
27:13I need to talk to you.
27:14I need to talk to you.
27:15I need to talk to you.
27:18Right, guys.
27:19We've got to have these people out of the door by quarter past.
27:21Okay.
27:22Look to the chocolate shiny and bright.
27:23Just take one.
27:24All right.
27:25So, we've got some chocolate for you guys to purchase.
27:26Would you like to come through and have a look?
27:27All right.
27:28Let's go.
27:29Inside you have a nice selection of chocolates.
27:30Five and five.
27:32Bye-bye.
27:33Bye-bye.
27:34This is a task which makes and breaks on the profit they make.
27:35Yay, all sorted.
27:36One of the key elements of this is there's a 5% commission.
27:38I'm going to go on to the next bit.
27:39All right.
27:40However, Elizabeth is so keen to rush to the next venue that she's denying herself and her
27:44team the opportunity of getting more profit.
27:46Right.
27:47Tally-ho.
27:48Onwards and upwards.
27:49On to the Segway.
27:50On the other half of the team.
27:51Little things like this.
27:52Little wash bags.
27:53This could be like a make-up bag as well.
27:54An idea to drum up more profit.
27:56So, I'd rather take a bit more of a risk, spend a bit more.
27:58Souvenirs to sell back on the ship.
28:00I'm going to make it $200 for the time.
28:01I'm going to go to the next position.
28:03I'm going to go on to the next bit.
28:04All right.
28:05I'm going to go on to the next bit.
28:06All right.
28:07However, Elizabeth is so keen to rush to the next venue that she's denying herself and her team the opportunity of getting more profit.
28:11Right.
28:12Tally-ho.
28:13Onwards and upwards.
28:14On to the Segway.
28:15On the other half of the team.
28:16Little things like this.
28:17Little wash bags.
28:18Souvenirs to sell back on the ship.
28:20I can make it $210.
28:21If it's not only $235.
28:22$210.
28:23$210 is final.
28:24Okay.
28:25We need to do it.
28:26We need to do it.
28:27$210.
28:28$210 done.
28:30Oh!
28:31I made it.
28:33With the same idea.
28:35I think 50 units.
28:37All right.
28:38That's asking.
28:39Yeah.
28:40Sarah-Jane checks out budget key rings.
28:42So, we can get 50 for 75 euros.
28:4550 for 75 euros.
28:46Yeah.
28:47Shhh.
28:48No.
28:49That's too cheap because it's all expensive key rings.
28:52It's 450 for one.
28:53That's not that cheap.
28:54Oh, it's cheap.
28:55That's expensive.
28:56What about this one here?
28:59Yeah, it's OK.
29:00Yeah?
29:01We can do this for two euros.
29:02Yes.
29:03Is there any more for two euros on there?
29:04No.
29:05No, is there any around here?
29:06On this side for two euros?
29:07No, not that.
29:08Is there anything in the shop for two euros a key ring?
29:09Quite generic.
29:10Those?
29:11Yep.
29:12They're fine.
29:13100, yep.
29:15Obviously, we're on a cruise liner, which will have souvenirs, so we've got quite a lot of competition, so I think 50 units will be enough.
29:23It's all right.
29:24Just chuck them in.
29:25In.
29:26In.
29:27In.
29:29Have a nice weekend.
29:30Thank you, you too.
29:31Bye-bye.
29:32Bye-bye.
29:332.30pm.
29:34All right, guys, so you all ready to drink some beer?
29:36Yeah!
29:37Taking the lead for the beer tasting.
29:39I think we can all agree, beer tastes better when you earn it.
29:42Andrew.
29:43And after the diversion Charles gave us with that extra 5,000 steps, we've definitely had a good day.
29:50So, Andrew, next one's coming in.
29:52We've now got the next one.
29:55This looks like more my beer.
29:56What's this one going for?
29:58This is Morgan de Flanders.
30:00That is really nice.
30:01That is fantastic.
30:02I don't imagine it would take many to get you drunk on these, either.
30:06All right.
30:07Yeah, do you guys, should we give the third one a go?
30:10Andrew sold this tour on the basis that you would get a lot of beer.
30:14There is no way he's got enough to fulfil his promise of a skin full of beer here.
30:19Nowhere near.
30:21Finish off your beer as soon as you can.
30:23We're going to get you some beers to take home, and then we'll get yourself off to the horse and tram,
30:28and we'll see some more sights.
30:30Does that sound all right?
30:33To infinity and beyond!
30:36Last stop for Elizabeth's group.
30:38Quick, quick, quick, quick!
30:39The Segways.
30:50Okay.
30:51Please, please, step off, please.
30:52Thank you so much.
30:53Right, we've got to get everybody off as quickly as we can, yeah?
30:56James sold this as a Segway tour.
31:00However, nothing could be further from the truth,
31:02because what they got was about 10 or 15 minutes, hardly a Segway tour.
31:07Sorry about that last bit.
31:09Guys, it's been emotional,
31:11and here ends your Bruges tour of modern Bruges and Segways and chocolates,
31:16and we hope you've all really enjoyed it.
31:183.30pm.
31:19All right, come on, let's jump in.
31:2090 minutes until the ship departs.
31:21Let's do this.
31:22Ready when you are.
31:23The final part of the history tour.
31:24Hi, guys, we're heading off to Burg Square.
31:25No, we're in Burg Square.
31:26Oh, this is Burg Square.
31:27Oh, this is Burg Square.
31:28Oh, this is Burg Square.
31:29We are in Burg Square currently.
31:30Taking the sights.
31:31The first count of Flanders settled in...
31:32What?
31:33Yeah, the first count of Flanders settled in Burg Square,
31:35and it became a political and cultural capital of Bruges.
31:37Of Bruges.
31:38Of Bruges.
31:39What else have we got here?
31:52We can't see.
31:53What else have we got here?
31:55Okay, so what's on the right?
31:57Er...
32:00I'm not sure you see the street now.
32:01No.
32:02I didn't see the street now.
32:03If you're giving out any information,
32:05information I can't hear it excuse me we're not how much further to get to our
32:23finance nation the bottom line is this tour has been really badly prepared the directions have
32:41all gone wrong the facts and figures are very scant I think there'll be some complaints so
32:46guys that's the tour finished so yeah let's now get you there back on time to the boat no messing
32:53around so I'll go there after you all let's go 5 p.m. so did you figure everybody was really
33:09upper yeah as good as can be no complaints no complaints well done everybody right so what
33:15we sell it key rings for six pounds right now it's called six quid so basically we've got tapestry

33:27thing we wanted let's get it so let's get everything so we've got some perfect souvenirs for you to take
33:34today so which one would you like to go this one brilliant so that's only six pound please you've
33:41got the side back here you've got the toiletries bag that one's eight pounds can we interest you in
33:46any key rings at all today to take home with you these are a really nice souvenir really nice for
33:51yourself hi there can I interest you in a souvenir to take home with you we've got some great key
33:55earrings things like this one who's going to see the news which one would you like you've got amazing
34:01keys two for 15 then yeah good you smile thank you well there you go 7 p.m. everybody turn to you
34:13right yeah pat the person in front of you do you not know you're right it's all right I wanted to
34:19pat you yesterday when we were selling the tickets we sold it as a tour which will be done on segways
34:24actually turned out it was a 90-minute walk but as long as they don't ask for any money back from
34:29that I think we're in a really good position obviously it's my first time being project
34:32manager and I couldn't have been project manager to a better group of people so thank you for all your
34:36help we'll see you up next tomorrow yeah don't turn on me at the end of the day I made sure I
34:42implemented a plan and gave everyone roles responsibilities might not have all gone smoothly but I've
34:47definitely done the best of my ability tonight takings will be totaled feedback gathered and refunds
34:56reviewed tomorrow a trip to the boardroom you can go to the boardroom now
35:17good morning so you were to procure customers then give them tours of bruges and give them a great
35:41entertaining experience yeah and let's see how we got them I'll start with vitality Sarah Jane
35:48you're the project manager can you tell me how that came about please there's a couple notes of
35:52comments in the last boardroom so I thought I needed to step up okay and show myself and everybody else
35:57wanted to do it yeah I put myself forward as well on trigger you got you hold the record for putting
36:01yourself forward I think on most of these tasks yeah always the bridesmaid never the bride yeah yeah
36:08anyway so Sarah Jane now we get on the ship and you've got to get the theme sorted out my initial
36:14thought was definitely history and then we all did a vote and we all agreed I think Anissa you were a
36:19little uncertain because you were gonna have to deliver the facts weren't you factual history is
36:23difficult I find that difficult and retaining facts like that hard then there was the activities yes so
36:29obviously we've gone for a history theme so I thought the horse tram would be a lot more in keeping
36:32with that and then there was tasting we want to go for beer so obviously that also resonates with
36:37Belgium we thought we could be a lot more engaging and we could put a higher price on the tickets and
36:42then the sales team's job was to try to find up to 16 customers who would be prepared to go on your tour
36:51yes that's correct so tell me what happened there then so I think we started at 100 pound so 100 pound was I
36:57think fair amount what price did you end up at so six them vape 87 pound 50 each and then four for 75
37:04pound each and I think you offered people skinfuls of beer didn't you also I said I'd see I'd see them
37:10well right okay the planning group what did you plan to do so we had some monuments to go and see in the
37:17morning a nunnery yeah there was a nunnery church it was a church and a hospital and a hospital and your
37:23theme was what history should have been four weddings and a funeral sounds like to me so that
37:29was the plan yes we get in to port and on day two the negotiation team goes ahead to try to lay on some
37:37of the attractions is that right so we had to go to the beer venue and negotiate a price how much did
37:42you pay per person that 950 included three small beer tasting glasses and then two small bottles of beer
37:49to take away ah so they had something to take away yeah okay and what else did you have to do other
37:54than the beer yeah so we had to go and buy some souvenirs he bought some 50 key rings 100 euros is
38:01that right that's correct yes well let's go back to the tour team now tell me about it then it's really
38:07good to have Andrew on board see what our energy as well to it and brought a bit of banter which was
38:11good actually it was a bit laddish yeah yeah anyway go on unfortunately we got lost at st john's
38:18hospital we didn't actually we didn't get lost just couldn't find the entrance you're going around in
38:21circles the bottom line was Alan it was meant to be a 30-minute walking tour but it took three hours
38:27right okay um now let's get on this horse and tram I heard you were shouting out in front of the punters
38:34that were we're in a hurry let's do it in 10 minutes imagine what they must be drinking it
38:40wasn't as what is this I hadn't shot the customer says the driver oh no you've shouted the customer
38:45the customer must have heard you okay graphene now Elizabeth yes Lord sugar you decided on on the
38:55modern modern yes and then Belgium chocolate very good whose idea was that um I think it was a group
39:02decision that we jumped on I thought it was Harrison I thought wasn't it Harrison yeah go on take
39:07credit for it because it's a good move that is don't worry don't panic yeah did you think about
39:14that Harrison yes yeah no quite adamant on that one actually okay yeah and then the activity was
39:24segue I thought if we go around horse and tram wasn't really didn't really scream out modern so
39:29I thought the segue and it'd be an easier sell because quite a fun thing to do now who's in the
39:34planning group myself Harrison um Joanna and sergeant I understand that you ran this like a bit of a
39:41military exercise is that right um let's just say we had a lot to get our heads around you did it
39:47or should we call it your reign of terror don't normally see that kind of forceful leadership outside
39:53of North Korea okay so who was in the sales team um it's James and Sarah and Bushra now James did you
40:01work out the pricing at 55 individual 50 for pair we sold the 780 in total the last two tickets were for
40:0980 pounds because we literally on the last minute we could sell so so it took 780 quid that's great
40:15yeah they took 850 selling less yeah I do think though that the sailing technique was Segway well we
40:23were under the impression the Segway was what they do the tour on so get the whole tour we thought 60
40:29to 90 minutes 60 to 90 minutes was going to be on the Segway from what I can understand there was no
40:34communication between you and the planning team I made the call to say that no we're just going to crack
40:40on for the last 20 minutes and sell these tickets right you don't want to talk to them basically not
40:44at that point now okay it's day two tell me what you did then well I said that I didn't really want
40:50to pay for the chocolates Sarah come up with the idea that we should ask them for a cut of their
40:54margin as well for anything that we can promote to sell so we agreed with them five percent you don't
40:59buy any chocolates they did get any commission yes we did 214 euros and we received 10 euros of the
41:06five ten euros I mean it's fair to say that you actually didn't perhaps leave yourself quite
41:10enough time to do that selling because you wanted to whiz away yeah actually it was kind of pushing
41:15everybody out quickly didn't you hear you're going we did try and get them through as efficiently as we
41:19possibly could the other task that you had was to go and get the goodies that you were going to sell
41:26on the way back we got 10 Bruges little side bags 10 shopper bags and then twos or more high
41:34how much you spend there we spent 210 euros that was a gamble wasn't it it we just knew I had only
41:40taken about 780 on your ticket so okay so now tour group think you ran these people around and you
41:47we had some logistics of where we had to get from a to b and my Belgian chocolates I think what I heard
41:51they needed wrapped up in silver at the end of them and given a Mars bar they were exhausted I think
41:56what do you sell in your florist shop reefs I do actually quite a lot yeah all right tell me
42:03about the Segway what was the deal Claude if you asked James he promised them pretty well a Segway
42:08tour what it turned out to be was a few minutes going up and down a little alleyway it probably
42:13wasn't the most satisfactory situation yeah right well I'll tell you what let's find out what went on
42:18as far as the numbers are concerned here so Claude could you tell me what graphene's total spend on
42:25the tasks experience and souvenirs stock was their total spend was 180 pounds and 54 pence that was
42:32the risk yeah ticket sales and souvenir sales amounted to 1139 pound 60 pence and any refunds
42:41go sadly the guests felt that they had really not been sold the Segway tour properly and they had refunds
42:47amounting to 156 pounds leading to an overall profit of 803 pounds six pence okay same questions Karen well
42:57they they spent a lot less actually 167 pounds and 64 pence and their total ticket sales and souvenir
43:04sales 993 pounds and again I should imagine there was some refunds required was there poorly planned and
43:13boring was one of the feedbacks and therefore your refunds were 20 percent 165 pounds no and what
43:19does that give you 660 pounds into 36 minutes you're in Elizabeth thank you Lord sugar thank you everybody
43:28well a treat you'll get to set sail a little closer to home I'm sending you punting in the beautiful city
43:34of Cambridge have fun and I'll see you on the next task thank you so much thank you very much
43:43um go away and have a chat amongst yourself I'll see you back in this boardroom later and we'll talk
43:58about it in more detail at least one of you is going to be fired okay thank you look at that that is
44:14actually unreal Harrison how does it feel being over on the dream team couldn't think of anything worse
44:20it's going back after yes before there's only one one out of five so yeah it feels really good and
44:26the treats those are brilliant I think good management's about putting people in the right
44:29places and letting me get on with it what do you know about management you manage flowers that day
44:34today I manage a dozen people over three businesses and I've got some good people that work for me and
44:39they work down oh fighting talk I think winning this task shows I'm not just the joker of the pack when I need
44:46to I can knuckle down and get the job done I'm hoping that I'm good enough to be Lord Sugar's business
44:50partner it's a bruise so obviously it's displaying that we've lost but I think you all did a good job
45:02I'm fuming there's so many things to blame and I'm sat there and people aren't taking accountability for it
45:08Charles I'm sorry to put it bluntly but the length of tour it just took the make Andrew you love putting the
45:14blame on someone else but you promised them beer even after 10-15 minutes that they just want a
45:18bit the other team bought better souvenirs so I'd be disappointed if Sarah Jane pins it on me
45:24these are using charge of the tour the book was like an encyclopedia was so much to learn inside
45:29it and it was very difficult I don't think that's an excuse I think so James at fault or she didn't
45:33put people in the right place like I did say I'm not very good at remembering facts and I was way out of my
45:38depth yes Lord sugar could you send the candidates in place right we're in this great city of Bruges and
46:05it was boring that's what your 10 customers said and yeah it's very disappointing because obviously
46:17when we sat in that planning meeting the whole point was to make sure we didn't have comments
46:20like that the thing is they were sold a pup and a lot of that has got to go down to the beer you gave
46:27them you know a cup full of beer to test and they felt that that was disappointing it was really history
46:32tour which had a beer tasting within it and I don't think that was put across when the sales were
46:37initially garnered therefore the expectations were up here I mean you wasn't in that team so it's so
46:43you're being a commentator after the horses vaulted so it actually seems like that's a running theme
46:47because Charles didn't do anything in the way of anything during the whole task I told them you'll
46:53go on a historic walk you'll go for beer tasting and you'll have a horse charm you heavily promoted the
46:58beer element and what you didn't really tell them was it was tasting it wasn't a part what was your
47:04understanding of what was being offered so we couldn't really offer a skinful or anything like
47:08that because people would be drinking it I never offered a skinful I just said we will see you well
47:13you did over offer you know I mean there's no question of that now the other team they negotiated
47:20a deal that if our 16 punters buy stuff off you we want a commission now I think that was very very
47:27clever right it never crossed your mind to do anything like that did it no I didn't we went in
47:34there and it was it was definitely gonna cost there was no it was basically he said enough how'd you know
47:39you could have said to the guy I'm bringing you 10 customers that might go and buy loads of beer I
47:43don't want to pay why didn't you say that to them I think because when I've originally went in I
47:48basically said what I would like to happen and then he opened it up with a number didn't cross your
47:52mind to think well let's try and get this for nothing I didn't manage to get my questions there
47:57I got a little bit flustered trying to negotiate some extra you didn't negotiate in fact I think you
48:02thought you were rescuing it a little bit but because of all the promises that he'd made so you
48:07actually spent money with him rather than getting it for nothing well yeah I mean we had to given
48:11that how it had been sold we had no choice if they would have turned up and just had three
48:15like tiny little bit okay so there's that element of it and then there's the execution of the tour you
48:22had offered part and parcel of your selling of the tickets is that we've got a trained tour guide
48:28that's what you was off oh my god yeah I thought they were actually gonna get I've never made
48:34you can't over sell it to be training yourself it was that was whole a whole part of the time
48:38to read to become that suggests someone knows bruising side yeah yeah I didn't know versions
48:42I think a sat nav would have given a more interesting commentary of where you were going
48:46I did say to Sarah Jane I'm not great on historical facts can I have some backup and yes I said everyone
48:51will back me up how did you how did you back up or didn't you back her up no so I said um Charles
48:56will be helping you with that is Anissa short for anesthetist honestly I could see myself and I was
49:04not happy I was I basically felt like I was set up to fail now Charles yes you were wandering for
49:12three hours the issue was I went around in a square on the premise of the building so how long did that
49:1830 minutes 30 minutes I think Charles was under selling how much time it actually added on I had a
49:22watch on I was 30 minutes now in the time Andrew from what I heard I thought it was all funny telling
49:29the customers haha we're lost is that right I was trying to make light of a bad situation I think
49:34that the sheer lack of this laddish behavior of yours you know this is a business process okay this is not a
49:42holiday camp or some place where you're here to kind of enjoy yourself yeah and then this was
49:48another mess horse and tram us Cockneys would say it was a load of pony and trap really but we just
49:55couldn't find the places that we'd hear Mark to talk about well all the things you had on the map
49:59with that and you just didn't have it Andrew you again didn't that wouldn't help for you were more
50:04pointing out the obvious we didn't know what we're doing now a clever business person would think to
50:08themselves right when we get back on that ship we have got a captured audience of 2,800 people
50:16ka-ching what do you do you go off and buy 50 key rings well actually we didn't sell all 50 so if we
50:23had bought more we'd be even in a worse course poor salesmanship from six people let me let you into a
50:28little secret they won this task because of their souvenirs they took a risk the other team if that
50:35went wrong they would have had a big big loss but they didn't okay Sarah Jane which two people you're
50:41bringing back into the board based on the discussion we've just had I'm going to bring in Andrew and
50:46Charles all right the rest of you go back to the house right I'd like you three to step outside I'm
51:00going to have a chat with Claude and Karen and I'll start taking into account performances throughout
51:06the course of the six weeks also okay Sarah Jane she's a bit oblivious of the mistakes that were made
51:20actually I think she did the right thing by moving herself into the part where she could have bought the
51:25souvenirs which are hugely important part this task but she didn't then buy enough and she bought the
51:30wrong product Andrew he lacks a professional approach and he's still acting like a university
51:37student he did sell the most in terms of tickets for this particular tour and similarly he was a top
51:43seller of souvenirs a Charles came into this process like a bull in a china shop I don't know how you found
51:50him count well I tell you the one thing Charles is really skillful at hindsight he works out what
51:55should have happened after he's done the opposite thing yes Lord sugar can you send the three of them
52:04in please oh Sarah Jane you say here I'm the definition of a girl boss I get things done yeah make things
52:27happen yes yeah I don't want to explain that one I'd like you to actually implemented it on the task okay so
52:32as project manager my strategy was to make sure every single person had a specific role so they
52:37could concentrate on that well but it didn't happen no it didn't happen I put a nice are in charge of
52:42the facts of running the tour I can't literally I can't be there holding your hand it was really
52:49obvious after 15 20 minutes and these was really swimming the fucking figures you actually said don't
52:53worry you're not gonna be on your own so I said Charles will help you can't pin this on me that you
52:59also said I did help as much as I could so you had one job during all day one job was just correct and
53:04you got us lost Andrew and you were responsible for entertaining and they found it boring and I
53:07I'm sorry if I hadn't have been me on that's all more people would have just walked off that's based on
53:12what people on Andrew the horse and tram you didn't use all people skills and personality you just
53:17basically it was a bit difficult when you were sat there going I don't know where we are
53:20very good at all those moments nothing tobacco Andrew the whole point was for me to just have time when I say
53:27that one thing you know what went out doesn't include joking about we were late and don't know
53:33where he's going and all that type of stuff a huge part of this was over promising the beer they felt
53:38they didn't receive what they were promised and that starts in the sales team I kept the amount of
53:44beer and almost a surprise I said we'll see you well I didn't say numbers I didn't say you'll get this
53:49many but I'm sad that I'm doing no the beer element was oversold regardless as to whether we knew what
53:54beer was we knew that was one element of three elements of the day nothing because we walk in
53:58for three hours that's no way before no no no Andrew it was right at the other forefront of the
54:03talk and I maximized their expectations and said once the tour is over we'll go on a beer already you'd
54:08already set them up when you sold the ticket this was a very embarrassing situation right this whole
54:14thing I think it replicates the embarrassment we sometimes get on Eurovision I'm gonna summarize
54:21now I don't want to hear anything more from any of you Sarah Jane you appointed yourself project
54:29manager because you wanted to prove yourself to me fact you have not proved yourself to me
54:35Charles you are like mr. hindsight you tell everybody what went wrong why it went wrong after the event
54:44what I don't hear is what you did right what you've ever done right and you young man I've already
54:52spoken to you about your attitude I've got to invest 250,000 pounds and I'm thinking there is no way no
55:01way on this earth that you are ever going to be a business partner of mine no way you may be here too
55:08early that's all I can say so on that basis really you box me into a corner Charles your CV talks about
55:20you know what a great businessman you are I ain't seen any of that Sarah Jane I've been wondering what
55:29you do now I know what you do it seemed to me that you moved yourself over to a convenient place and I
55:38think you've been in a convenient place for the last six weeks and for that reason Sarah Jane you're fired
55:45okay you have got to stop being a commentator go back to the house thank you Lord sugar are you
56:08tell me young man why you should stay in this process Lord sugar I'm gonna I'm gonna bleed crimson I'm gonna
56:14go out there and I'm gonna do everything I do and I'm just gonna make sure I do with more of a
56:18professional attitude I do make mistakes I can learn from the last chance is an understatement okay go
56:25off to the house all right thanks Lord sugar I don't believe it was down to me at the end of the day
56:44people got refunds because they got bored so it was traveling around and Charles was in charge of the logistics so Charles
56:50should have been fired how bad was it on a scale of 1 to 10 oh well we pretty much all got a roasting but I think it got
56:57pretty bad for Andrew really though Charles should go I think I feel like he's gonna come back but he should just go I think Charles will
57:04come back he hasn't really done anything wrong no he's not doing anything right me honestly you've not been working with him
57:08what happened to God I was this this close it's like give me a reason why I should stay and I was like he's really not focusing on who he sees has a characteristic
57:32crucially to be his business partner so game on I say bring it on now 12 candidates remain Lord sugar's search for his next business partner continues next time I'm giving each team a brand new car and you have to launch it action wrong turns
57:56get out of the way get out of the way get out of the way collisions I'm not having argument with you I feel like you are let's just move on I'm not being argumenting plus a total write-offs
58:07stop it just take her down tackle her just do something and in the boardroom God knows what that was supposed to be the end of the road
58:15you're making it up as you go along here you're fired
58:18well just as soon as the taxi gets there Sarah Jane will be dishing the dirt on The Apprentice You're Fired on BBC 2 now and tomorrow night here on BBC 1 performing and talking about his life and career Sam Smith at the BBC at 8
58:36you
