Whether it’s past governments, the current one, or any civic body — why has no concrete action ever been taken on the matter of stray dogs? Because the Supreme Court itself had to step in and take a strict stand on the issue of stray dogs, which in itself is a big deal.
Building dog shelters, taking care of them, giving rabies vaccines, etc. — the costs that were quoted and the government’s slow process make it look like this work is nowhere close to getting done anytime soon. 🧐
And after stray dogs, when will the issue of stray cattle be addressed? 🐮🥺
Because here’s the data — the government doesn’t even maintain official records of human deaths caused by stray cattle attacks/accidents… But as per NCRB, between 2017 and 2021, 6,331 people have been killed due to such animal attacks. 😭
Looking at the current situation, it feels like everything is just running on Ram bharose (gods will)… and there’s still a long way to go just for the stray dog problem alone. 🙏🏻
