Riot police block pro-Palestine protesters from approaching Israeli cruise ship in Greece

Last month, the Crown Iris left the Greek island of Syros early without its passengers disembarking after more than 150 protesters demonstrated at the island's port. There have been similar protests in Rhodes and Crete.

00:00Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered at the port of Piraeus in Greece on Thursday
00:07to protest against the arrival of a ship carrying Israeli soldiers amongst its passengers.
00:14People held placards, waved flags and chanted slogans calling for the freedom of the Palestinian
00:19people at the demonstration, which was organised by the communist-backed Labour Union PAME.
00:26The demonstrators made their way to gate E-12, where they were confronted by police forces who had blocked access.
00:35There they threw tzatziki at the Port Authority building, arguing that they were demonstrating Greek hospitality.
00:44The demonstrators dispersed peacefully at the end of the protest.
