00:00Good morning from New York City. I haven't introduced myself in a while, so I'm gonna
00:14do that real quick. Hi, I'm Taylor. I have called this wonderful chaotic city of New York home for
00:19the last four years or so, but I was born and raised in Southern California. Even though I'm
00:23having a nice slow morning here before a busy week ahead, my life looked pretty different not that
00:28long ago. Here on YouTube, I have become somewhat known for making a huge leap of faith from a
00:34prestigious corporate job and Ivy League business background to building my own creative business
00:39where I share my entrepreneurial journey and mainly healthy lifestyle here in New York City.
00:44And even though it's been a very unexpected path, it's one that I could not be happier about. And
00:50I'm so happy to have documented that shift over the years here on my channel. But today is today,
00:54so join me for a few days of what this life looks like now.
00:58So what does my life look like as a YouTuber? Well, you might have guessed it. Every day looks
01:12different. First order of today though, we are going on a podcast. I've been going on more recently
01:18just because I feel like this is a time in my life and career that I really want to capture. Because
01:23even though I've been making videos for almost five years, for some reason now more than ever do I
01:29feel like I'm just getting started. And so it's been really fun to talk about when I'm this creatively
01:33energized. So we are filming the podcast in Brooklyn today, East Williamsburg to be specific.
01:39And if I leave right now, I will only be about five minutes early. So let's go catch the train, shall we?
01:45My eyes are watering because I city biked the L.
01:53And it's a little cold outside. Oh my God, it's cooler than the firewoods.
01:57All right. We just finished filming for two freaking hours. This is coming.
02:02Race five. Race five. It did race five. Hi to the vlog. I've been watching the vlog. So it's cool to like make an
02:32appearance. Thank you for watching. I will link the podcast in the description. So watch it out or
02:39check it out. Yeah. You know what I mean?
02:50Scott off at Union Square. Man, going on podcast is fun, especially when they have great questions,
02:55which he did. But oh my God, even for me, talking for two hours straight, like very actively talking,
03:01I feel like I can't talk anymore today. I'm also starving. So let's go get some food.
03:18Okay. Okay. Let me get on my soapbox for just a second. First of all, people watching in New York
03:22City is a top five activity. Anyways, these days are some of my favorites when I'm bouncing between
03:28different parts of the city on public transportation, getting work done and squeezing in exercise and time
03:33with friends. There's a reason they call it a New York minute because you can do so freaking much in
03:38just one day, four years in, and it still never ceases to amaze me what you can pack into 24 hours
03:45in the city. And I absolutely love it. Just worked for how many hours? Actually, six, five? I don't know.
03:54Whatever. Now I'm hungry again. It's great because I'm going to a creator dinner. How convenient.
04:02And guys, I'm biking there because no weather stops me from city biking, but it's going to be
04:08a wee bit painful. It's like 10 degrees with windchill. So, wish me luck.
04:24That was as painful as I thought it was going to be. It's always my fingers.
04:30Creator dinner time, baby.
04:31That's awesome. Okay, here's where we go.
04:48Hello. It's the next day. A little less absolutely freezing today, which is nice, but don't worry.
04:53Still packing heat. And today is pretty busy workday, TBH. I have a lot of calls. Some of them
05:00are final round interviews for my video editor candidates. Fun. Another one is a consulting call
05:06that I'm doing. Also fun. And then just some other comms that I'm doing with brands that I'll be
05:10working with over the next month or so. So, we'll talk more about it throughout the day, but until
05:14then, let's get after it.
05:24Okay, I suppose now would be a good time to tell you what I'm aiming for with this video. So, if you guys
05:29have seen my other New York City vlogs, you might know that they feature a pretty curated series of
05:34events, usually of me hopping around different neighborhoods, exploring various types of New
05:39York's architecture, visiting new coffee shops and bookstores. And while those videos include
05:43plenty of authentic moments and more analytical content, they are definitely not an accurate
05:49representation of what every day looks like for me. There are fun days where I plan a rough
05:55itinerary of spots that I think would be fun to go to and show you guys and to film. But most days
06:01look a lot more like this. Jumping between calls, negotiating terms with brands that I'm working
06:06with, writing the script to my next video or planning upcoming videos, lots of video editing, or in this
06:12case, interviewing potential video editor candidates to work with. So, this video is meant to show you a
06:18snippet of what a less curated real life day looks like for me. I still think it's pretty exciting.
06:23All right, we are taking a quick break for lunch, but wow, I am so impressed by these candidates.
06:31That's all I can say.
06:35Surprise, surprise, I got sweet green again. I am what one might call a mono eater, where I can and do
06:42eat the same thing every single day. And I feel like I've absolutely mastered my sweet green order.
06:47So that way it's super, super filling. Because the worst is when I get lunch and it's a salad or a bowl
06:53or something that's kind of tasty and healthy, but then I'm hungry again, you know, three hours later.
06:57It just disrupts my workflow and I can't have it. So let me put you on my sweet green order for those
07:02who also want to go and order the Taylor, the Taylor special. I do a custom warm bowl. So I do half
07:08spinach, half spring mix, and quinoa. And then for my four toppings, I do two of them sweet potato,
07:14makes it a lot more filling. One of them cherry tomato and one of them garbanzo beans. So,
07:18you know, some protein there, good carbs, etc. And blackened chicken as my protein. Then, here's the
07:25kicker. I do medium pesto vinaigrette, best dressing of all time. It's literally what made me start liking
07:31salads, seriously. And then a drizzle of olive oil also makes it more filling. Salt and pepper. And then I always
07:37get the bread on the side. And it sticks with me for a while. And it's a great meal to have when I know I'm going to
07:42have a hard workout that night because it's not too heavy. Because like if I'm having chipotle for
07:47lunch, I'm not, I'm not having a good workout at night. You know what I mean?
07:50A lot of calls today. But this one is cool. Well, they've all actually been cool. But this one
08:01is a consulting call that I'm doing for YouTube, which is pretty neat. Unfortunately, they are
08:09confidential in nature. But they're always a pleasure. Like, oh, I get paid to talk about
08:13something I really, really like doing. Neat. So, I'm going to join here a couple minutes early.
08:20Just leaving the office. And that was a cool call. It was about a feature that YouTube might
08:31be rolling out in the near-ish future. And they wanted to get the creator's take on the messaging
08:37of the rollout, on the feature itself. One of my favorite coffee shops, by the way. FYI.
08:43But yeah, pretty neat. I got to play mini consultant product manager for 45 minutes. Awesome.
08:49Now let's go pump some iron.
08:51Now let's go pump some iron.
08:51Fantastic workout.
09:03Fantastic workout. Fun fact. When I was filming a year before, my tripod was behind the toilet,
09:20and I left it there. And the next person that went and saw it, I was like, what the fuck?
09:24And with that, it's probably not vlogging for a couple days. So many more of these everyday
09:29life in New York City vlogs have come. I'm going to start doing them more like this, where
09:33I show what a couple days looks like, whether it's a work day or a fun weekend or exploring
09:38the city. So, like and subscribe for more videos. And until next time, turtle out.
09:42This is the final look in my elevator. Actually, no, let's zoom. I am home. I, for once, did
09:50not bike home. I decided to treat myself to a little Uber because it's kind of late and
09:55like, I'm not alone. I'm not alone. I'm not alone. I'm not alone. I'm not alone. I'm not alone.
10:02You
