00:00So today I'm going to show you what a typical 24 hours is like for me living in New York City.
00:07From sunrise to sunsets, showing you exactly how I balance work, fitness, family time, and still manage to enjoy life in the city that never sleeps.
00:15Since life has been pretty chaotic lately, and if there's one thing I know about life, it's time doesn't wait, it doesn't pause, it moves whether you're ready or not.
00:30So the first thing I like to do every single morning is come up here to my rooftop and do some stretching.
00:51I actually typically don't ever get sore, and I think a lot of that has to do with spending just 10 minutes a day doing some stretching.
01:00I don't touch, I was stuck, ignore what I wanted.
01:04Now let the morning triathlon begin.
01:07So unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, my Super 73 e-bike did get stolen, which is so sad.
01:20But on the bright side, I am getting their newest model, as well as now, it forces me to get more exercise.
01:27Two-mile bike riding out to the gym on the city bike.
01:30These things are so slow.
01:37So in two weeks, I am going to be attempting to swim from Asia to Europe.
01:43And just three months ago, I was a horrible swimmer.
01:46I mean, I always surfed and had a strong stroke, but I had no idea what even freestyle swimming really looked like.
01:54Luckily, after spending one hour a day for five days a week, and just focusing on getting 1% better every single day, we are making some progress.
02:04So another great thing about waking up early is that the early bird catches the worm.
02:16And in this case, the early fish catches the plankton, I guess.
02:21Fish do eat worms too.
02:22Anyway, typically this outdoor pool with this incredible skyline view is completely packed by 8 a.m.
02:27But with getting here early, we have it all to ourselves.
02:30So to complete the morning triathlon, we are going to be running a quick 10K.
02:47Since in two and a half months, I am going to be running the New York City Marathon.
02:51So on top of the swimming training, we've got to get in our running.
02:55Let's do this.
02:56So they say your 20s are about figuring it out.
02:58Your 30s are about doing it.
02:59And your 40s are about enjoying it.
03:02And I started this YouTube channel when I was 23, 24.
03:06And now being in my early 30s, it's insane to look at the sheer differences.
03:11Since back then, I was all over the place, saying yes to everything, and just throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks.
03:18But now, it feels like that spaghetti is cooking.
03:20So with having a lot of different things going on at once, I prefer to monotask.
03:44So I can focus on one category at a time and keep all of my creative thoughts in one place.
03:50And typically in the morning, I like to work on my tea company, Belief, which this is actually the first time ever that we are now able to show you guys the finished product.
03:59Since after almost two years of hard work, Belief Tea is now born.
04:05And it has been a very challenging adventure to get here.
04:12From spending a month in India and Sri Lanka, learning the secrets of tea making, building out the branding, and tasting over a thousand different teas to finally get the best blends.
04:22Also spending over $63,000 of my hard-earned money.
04:27It really made it such a surreal feeling, finally getting these first packages in.
04:36Wow.
04:38It's perfect.
04:40And it has not been an easy process.
04:43My first production partner, which I will not be working with again, broke nearly every promise they made,
04:49performed below the level of excellence I want for Belief, and forced me to be almost a full year behind schedule.
04:55So I've had to spend even more time and more money finding a new supplier.
04:59But despite all of that, Jumpstart, Boost, and Recharge are all finally available, and I can confirm, are delicious.
05:11It really is so good.
05:14If you guys want to be one of the first people to try Belief, then if you do order right now,
05:19I am offering 10% off to this YouTube audience.
05:22You guys have been here through this entire journey, and I do wish I can offer more,
05:26but until I do make some of my money back, that's all I can do without going bankrupt before I even start.
05:32All you have to do is use discount code BELIEF10.
05:35So excited for you guys to finally try it.
05:38To all of you guys who do support me, I did just want to take a quick second,
05:41and thank you so much since this new chapter I am so excited about,
05:47and I'm also so excited for you guys to finally try it.
05:50I promise, it's delicious.
05:52So now the plan is to work on building out a better online store for Belief,
05:56and since I am bootstrapping this company with my own money, I am doing it all myself.
06:02And as a lot of you guys know, I used to own a skateboard company,
06:06and back then, AI really wasn't a thing.
06:09But now with Shopify's new AI tools, it makes it so much easier to start an online business all by yourself.
06:16This is Shopify Sidekick, which is essentially like I have five executive assistants all in this one AI tool.
06:23And what's so great about this feature on Shopify is that it already knows all the ins and outs of your business,
06:29from what your products do, everything about your store, what's selling well.
06:33So let's even try and prompt it to help optimize my store for SEO.
06:39Boom.
06:40And then in just a matter of seconds, you have it.
06:43As you guys know, I am a Shopify partner, but in all honesty, I am a full-paying customer,
06:49since Shopify really is the best place to start your own brand.
06:53They give you the tools that you could ever need to start a business online or in person.
06:57So if you've ever dreamt of starting your own business, then you can go to shopify.com slash Brett Conti.
07:03So something that I am super grateful for is that my family all lives here in the metro New York area,
07:09where pretty much every single day, I spend at least one hour with my family.
07:14My dad works about six blocks away and saw him yesterday, but now today, we're going to see my mom.
07:20She is babysitting my niece.
07:21I once even asked my mom about this, how even when I was a little kid,
07:27she would always refer to me as a man on a mission,
07:30since at all times I needed some challenge to do or some activity to keep me occupied every hour of the day.
07:38I feel like it explains why I am the crazy person that I am today.
07:41What are those shoes?
07:46Uncle Brett shoes.
07:48Uncle Brett shoes?
07:49Yeah.
07:50Matching shoes.
07:52Man on a mission, you were so determined with everything that you did.
07:58You would practice and practice and practice until you were like the best at everything.
08:03Even your Rubik's Cube, until you could do it like faster than anybody else.
08:08Every endeavor you went into as a child.
08:15So the reason 9,437 why New York City is the greatest city in the world
08:21is because it's like it's a big college campus where you can just do so many different things in one day.
08:27Where right now we are heading downtown to a meeting with my friend Tyler who is the founder of a run club and running app called Endorphins.
08:35And if you saw my previous video, you know that I recently became an investor in the company.
08:40And the team just got their first office yesterday, so I'm going to head down to Soho and check it out.
08:49Alright Tyler, so what is the latest with Endorphins?
08:53You're looking at Endorphins HQ.
08:55What do we do? We just got an office baby. Let's go.
08:57This is crazy. We're building on AI training tech to support hundreds of thousands of athletes right now.
09:01And we got the whole team in here and we're talking product, we're talking community.
09:05I think the coolest thing about what we're doing right now is we're bringing athletes together in person
09:08and helping them find others to train with.
09:10And that's what we are all about and it's really cool.
09:13I think there's a lot of virtual communities but we're in person.
09:16We show up for people in person so that's what I love to do.
09:18I can even like leave a link in the description of this video and people can sign up.
09:23Totally.
09:23All right, so I'm actually running New York City Marathon in about two and a half months.
09:28So I am using my Endorphins app to train and now you guys can as well.
09:32So if you're running in New York City doing a 10k even, right?
09:3510k, 5k, mile, half marathon, marathon.
09:37No ultra marathons.
09:38I feel like after your swim you'll get us all tripping.
09:40That's next.
09:41Yeah, exactly.
09:42Yeah, but you can check it out.
09:43Endorphins running in any app store and we'll get you all trained up for your next race.
09:46Amazing.
09:46Well, I'm glad I could be one of the first guests here at the office.
09:49So cool to document this.
09:51Let's go, baby.
09:53So it is super hot out today.
09:55So on my way to meet up with a friend to get an acai bowl.
09:58One of my favorite ice snacks.
09:59Okay, so I am here with Ephraim.
10:05Hi.
10:06Ephraim, last time in the videos, had just moved here to New York City.
10:09So now, a few months later, has NYC been everything that you had dreamt of when you were back in Italy?
10:17It's even more.
10:19Because there's always something going on.
10:21It just makes me really happy.
10:22Yeah, after traveling as much as I have, one thing I've noticed about New York is that
10:26there is nowhere else on the planet where you can do so much in just one day.
10:32Yeah, you can make, you can actually make things happen in one day.
10:36As in other places, you maybe need to, like, days to, like, talk to someone and do something.
10:42But here, you just, you know, call someone and you're like, hey, let's meet, let's talk about this.
10:45And you go there and you can...
10:46I texted you 30 minutes ago.
10:47Yeah, yeah.
10:48I was editing at home and I was like, why not?
10:50So I wanted to share a quick parable which has helped influence me when making big life decisions
10:59for my career.
11:01And it is the story of the fisherman and the banker.
11:05Essentially, there is a banker who is vacationing in a small coastal village where he sees a fisherman
11:10come back with a big fish.
11:12The banker says to him, why don't you stay out there longer and catch more fish?
11:15The fisherman then responds, saying, I caught enough fish for the day to support my family.
11:19I'd like to spend the rest of the time playing with my children, taking siestas on the beach
11:23with my wife, and enjoying evenings with my friends.
11:26The banker then responds, saying, well, if you fish longer, you could catch more fish,
11:31make more money, start a company, and become rich like me.
11:34The fisherman then says, then what?
11:37And the banker responds, saying, then you can retire, move to a small coastal village,
11:42go fishing all day, spend time with your children, take siestas on the beach with your wife,
11:47and enjoy time with your friends.
11:49So, I would say that the moral of the story to me is that sometimes we think we need to
11:54chase this life that we want, when in reality, we already have everything that we need.
12:00With that being said, I'm going to get back to work on this YouTube channel and be grateful
12:03that I get to do what I love.
12:05If you're looking for me in New York City, and it's a Tuesday, most likely I'm here at
12:15a Kombi for Taco Tuesday.
12:17And also, most likely, you'll see my friends there.
12:19You see on Bobby, never miss a Taco Tuesday.
12:22Buy one, get one free.
12:24Taco Tuesday club, everybody's a part of it.
12:38Guys, what do we think?
12:39Taco Tuesday, two thumbs up?
12:41Oh yeah, two thumbs up.
12:42Every Tuesday.
12:46Two thumbs up.
12:47Abe, so in this video, I was talking a lot about the difference in my lifestyle from
12:50when I first started vlogging, and you were actually a huge part of that.
12:54Oh my god.
12:55We met when Abe was my waiter at a restaurant in Chinatown called Taisun, and I just thought
13:00he was the coolest guy.
13:02Befriended him, and now eight years later, still best friends.
13:04True, actually, he's the coolest one.
13:07Like bro, like you come out to the restaurant, every restaurant, and you're just like, hey
13:11everyone, you're like, you know, you just say hi to everyone, so it's just impressive.
13:15Not everyone do it, you know, people just come and go, just laugh, but you actually take
13:18the time to say bye and say thank you to everyone, it's very meaningful.
13:22What do you say, I was the best customer you ever had at Taisun?
13:24Yes, I would say yes.
13:26Yeah, you're the best.
13:27I was also a customer at Taisun.
13:29Hey Alexa, turn all the lights white.
13:37Okay.
13:39So if there is one thing that you do get out of this video, I hope that it empowers you
13:44to take more advantage of time, since money you can lose and earn again, opportunities
13:51you can lose and create new ones, but time, once it's gone, it's gone forever.
13:57So for the last hour that I am awake, I like to sit in this chair, look out at the Empire
14:02State Building, reflect on my current day, as well as plan for the future day.
14:06And for me, what makes me feel like I had an accomplished day is if I move the needle
14:11forward, even just a little bit in all aspects of life.
14:15Whether that's spending time with my niece and building that relationship, or it's working
14:19on belief, creating content for this YouTube channel, or even something towards one of my
14:24fitness goals, that is what helps me sleep like a baby.
14:27Well, that and our belief recharge tea, the chamomile and magnesium, knocks you right out.
14:34And it is delicious.
