00:00Senior Counsel Shafi Abdullah said today, former Attorney General Ahmad Terirudin Saleh
00:05could be subpoenaed to testify in Najib Razak's upcoming judicial review hearing on the Royal
00:10Addendum at the High Court.
00:13Shafi said they might call several witnesses, including Terirudin and other officers, to
00:17give evidence either through affidavits or in person.
00:21He said a very tight deduction of the facts must be carried out during the hearing of
00:25judicial review after today's federal court ruling, which affirmed the January 6th majority
00:29decision of the Court of Appeal, allowing Najib to adduce additional evidence and ordering
00:33the High Court to hear his judicial review application.
00:37He said they can make requests for discovery for an immediate show of where the addendum
00:41is and what happened to the addendum that has been delayed for a year and a half.
00:47Earlier today, a three-member bench led by Chief Judge of Malaya Hasna Hashim ruled that
00:52Najib could present fresh evidence on the alleged supplementary addendum.
00:55Najib is currently in Kajang prison serving the jail sentence meted out for misappropriating
01:0042 million ringgit from SRC International's Sidiran Berhad.
01:05However, the Federal Territory's Pardons Board reduced his sentence to six years and the
01:10fine to 50 million ringgit in January 2024.
01:13He later claimed to have learned of the addendum's existence, which purportedly allows him to serve
01:18the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
