00:00So, well, looking at Liverpool in terms of the summer,
00:05I mean, obviously it's a bit of a massive bit of investment
00:08this summer that we've seen their transfer record broken.
00:11They've been involved with numerous talks
00:13for other Europe top talent as well.
00:16Do you feel this has been a real catalyst in Liverpool's,
00:19this Liverpool 2.0 sort of figure that they're building now
00:23with Arnie Schlotten, obviously, to come in
00:26and win the Premier League titles maybe even a bit early
00:30to do it in his first season?
00:31He's now got that chance to go and defend it really well
00:34with some top additions as well.
00:36Yeah, it's been a funny one because obviously
00:37the Premier League champions, they go off and they have
00:40somewhat of a squad overhaul, which, as we speak now,
00:45a few days before the season starts,
00:46I don't think they're finished in the transfer market yet.
00:49I mean, I think everyone knew it was going to be a busy summer,
00:53but maybe not as busy as this.
00:57And as I say, people have gone from champions
00:59to maybe being, not a work in progress,
01:02but just, you know, after that Community Shield,
01:04lost to Crystal Palace, there's certainly factors
01:08that Arnie Schlotten's going to have to tweak
01:12ahead of the start of the season.
01:14But, look, I think the areas that need to be addressed
01:18have been addressed in terms of the full-backs,
01:22Trent Alexander Arna go, Jeremy Fringpong coming in,
01:24a left-back Milos Kerkers arriving,
01:27a new striker Hugo Eketike arriving,
01:31the goalkeeper Mamadash Vili was in the offing for a year,
01:35and following Burt was a bit of a surprise arrival,
01:39a very pleasant surprise arrival.
01:41But if you were a set and Liverpool scored at the end of last season,
01:45you maybe thought you might be able to just get by
01:48without an attack on the field for one more year,
01:50with Sir Bosley there, with Curtis Jones there.
01:53But instead, Arna Schlotten's gone out
01:55and pay just one for a club record fee of 100 million,
02:02a club rise to 116, that would be a British transfer record.
02:07But Liverpool aren't done yet.
02:08They've obviously sold, you know,
02:10there was Diaz and Darwin Nunes, the short,
02:13and, you know, the tragic death of Diogo Jota as well,
02:18which is just, everyone's still getting a header around,
02:22a header around, but Liverpool are short of options
02:26in the attacking third.
02:27Alexander Isaac is obviously on the agenda.
02:30And central defence is another area where a lot of fans
02:35would like to see balls because they sold Gerald Quanta
02:38to buy a labour coups,
02:41and now Gerald Quanta was a fringe player last season.
02:43He only made his one league start on route
02:46to actually winning the title when it was claimed
02:48against Tottenham, and that was on the first day
02:49of the season at Ipswich, and he was subbed off for half-time.
02:54But Liverpool needs options if they're going to be competing
02:56for the Champions League as well as the Premier League.
02:59So, yeah, we've got, what, three weeks to go on the window,
03:02something like that.
03:03I think there's still business that could be done
03:07in terms of incomes and outgoings.
