00:00in the city.
00:01The second topic, yes, sir.
00:02Can you just elaborate on your answer a moment ago?
00:05The poll shows you in fourth place behind Curtis Slewa.
00:09I'm wondering, what do you need to do to win?
00:13And what are you going to do next month?
00:15And Cuomo asks you to drop down.
00:17Okay, first of all, I already won.
00:19I'm a mayor that grew up...
00:22You know, I don't think people really understand, you know,
00:29and that's, I think, you know, that's one of the challenges
00:31that people have in life.
00:33They judge themselves by what people think of them.
00:37I already won.
00:38I'm the mayor of the most important city on the globe.
00:42Growing up in South...
00:43South Jamaica, Queens, you know,
00:48and I say it over and over again,
00:49and one day people are going to hear it.
00:51You know, growing up in South Jamaica, Queens,
00:53dyslexic, arrested, rejected.
00:57Now I'm elected to be the mayor.
00:59I mean, you know, so, I mean, God is good.
01:04And so, if I wake up every day and say,
01:07oh, my God, I'm a failure because somebody think of me this way,
01:10someone gave me the finger, someone yelled at me, someone...
01:14I mean, no, I have already won.
01:17They are trying...
01:18They are trying...
01:19They are trying to get what I have.
01:23Let's understand that.
01:25Let's understand it.
01:26There were...
01:27What were they?
01:28There were 13 people...
01:3013 people running to be mayor.
01:3213 people wanting to have what I have right now.
01:3513 people.
01:37Either I'm going to get it or someone else.
01:41But those other 12 will never get what I am.
01:45You know, I'm the mayor right now.
01:47And so, and so, I'm going to do what I have to do to be re-elected
01:53because of what we have done while we're in office.
01:57All these broken promises.
01:58You know, we have, what, five people that are still in the race?
02:03Three of them don't have any record at all.
02:06No record.
02:07One of them, he's running from his record.
02:10I'm the only one that has a record.
02:12I'm the only person in the race.
02:15And that's why you can critique me.
02:16That's why all of you can ask me questions.
02:19It's because I have a record.
02:21My expansion of clubhouses.
02:22What I did was scout.
02:24More jobs in the city history.
02:26Drop unemployment.
02:27Brought down crime.
02:28Remove thousands of guns off our streets.
02:32No more taxes for low-income New Yorkers.
02:35No more taxes for low-income New Yorkers.
02:37Drop the cost of child care from $220 a month to less than $20 a month.
02:44Earned income tax credit increase.
02:46Pay enough college tuition for foster care children.
02:49High-speed broadband for NYCHA residents for free so they can have access to it.
02:55I mean, so, so I, let me finish my flow.
02:59Let me finish my flow because, you know, I'm flowing right now.
03:02I want to, I want to give you a flow.
03:05So, so, no matter what happens, I improve the lives of working class people.
03:11That's what I said I was going to do when I was running.
03:13I said I was going to improve the lives of working class people.
03:16I did that.
03:17Now, I want to complete doing that.
03:20And so, if the people of the city say that, you know what, we want someone else to do it,
03:24I mean, that's life.
03:25I can't sit back and complain.
03:27I ran.
03:28I sold my, my, my vision to the city.
03:31They said, this is what we want.
03:33And I'll have to get out there and sell.
03:35This is what I'm going to do for you in the next four years.
03:37But the people of the city is going to make that determination.
03:40They're going to hear me.
03:41And they're going to say, do we want to continue after we heard you, Eric?
03:46And then I make a decision.
03:47And it's, and it's all cool.
