00:00but our big story today revolves around the UFC and so many of you who were big fans of streaming

00:06the UFC and paying up for those big events well you're not going to have to do that anymore the

00:11just question becomes how much you're going to have to do that to pay for Paramount Plus because

00:15they're the new streaming option for the UFC it was announced this morning that they have reached

00:21an agreement which is an all-timer folks 7.7 billion dollars going to Paramount Plus for the

00:27next seven years are the home of the new UFC 2026 pay-per-view is done that's it the quote from

00:34Dana White says this historic deal with Paramount and CBS is incredible for UFC fans and our athletes

00:40and for the first time ever fans in the UF US will have access to UFC content without pay-per-view

00:46model making it more affordable and accessible to view the greatest fights on a massive platform

00:51the only question folks at this point is how much more Paramount Plus is going to cost because it

00:57ain't going to be the same cost I don't think when they add the UFC but pay-per-view essentially is

01:01done at least for the next seven years all right let's get to the preseason a nice win for the Los

01:08Angeles Chargers on Sunday they win 27 to 13 the final start to finish more or less a dominant late

01:14game performance from the Chargers and company here's Jim Harbaugh on the outcome yeah I just um

01:21the first thing that pops in my mind just the whole team uh they just play with a lot of want to

01:27want to uh and that's uh I'm thrilled with that um and the guys that really I mean that stood out um

01:39he's got to start with Eric Rodgers uh those two interceptions the one PBU on third down um but the pick

01:47six he made that was as good a play as I've ever seen that's as good as plays you can make uh

01:53as good plays you can make the break on the ball the uh the avoid of the receiver the catch uh

02:01completing uh completing the catch to the ground and then getting back up and and he was he was rolling

02:08um you know quite a quite a day quite a quite a quite a big day by him um really incredible

02:15meanwhile we had several ties in the NFL preseason over the weekend one of them was yesterday afternoon

02:21the Chicago Bears hosted the Miami Dolphins final 24 to 24 in this one saw very little of a lot of

02:29the starters in this game initially the Bears played their starters for about five minutes as well

02:37kind of hard to say he did a good job when he ended up tying and indeed that does feel like

02:43it's the case with both teams not unusual I guess this preseason here's Ben Johnson and what the

02:48locker room felt like after closing it out 24-24 you know it's kind of hard to assess the feeling in

02:58the locker room on a tie like that those guys went out there and they they laid it out you know all those

03:02guys that were active they did a great job going out there and competing and it uh you know

03:07you just don't know how to feel when it ends up being 24 to 24 it doesn't matter preseason or not

03:13you go out there they're keeping score and you're you're playing to win so um you know I I'd say this

03:19I think those guys they did a phenomenal job going out there the effort was there the intensity was

03:24there throughout I think a lot a number of guys knowing that there were no reserves behind them they

03:29really fought through a lot whether getting dinged up and having to come out for a few plays and

03:34coming back out and uh and looking to finish that game I mean guys that come to mind uh Jonathan

03:40Ford you got Zach Pickens you got Trey Flowers you got Blackwell I mean it goes on and on and on

03:45um and so I I think that's what stood out to me it's it makes you proud as a coach when you see the

03:50guys go out there and give everything that they got in a scrimmage last night the Philadelphia Eagles

03:55played in front of their fans but a very unfortunate potential injury to one of their best players

04:01Landon Dickerson carded off with an apparent leg injury he's one of five guards who've made the

04:07pro bowl every year since 2022 and he had this injury by the way going into the game apparently

04:11meanwhile James Cook of the Buffalo Bills warmed up but he opted not to play this weekend still

04:16looking for a new contract with Buffalo uh Jets did activate pass rusher Jermaine Johnson from the PUP

04:23list and he's ready to go with the uh Jets also one note by the way from that Dolphins

04:28Bears outcome ESPN just a minute ago reporting that running back Alexander Madison who the

04:34Dolphins acquired the offseason will miss the entire season so they're working out former Lions

04:38running back Jamal Williams today all right let's go over to Major League Baseball big weekend between

04:43the Cubs and Cardinals like it always is Cardinals end up beating the Cubs yesterday three to two and

04:47they win two out of three in this series very impressive performance St. Louis trying to stay in the

04:52race meanwhile impressive for the Blue Jays yesterday they rally against the Dodgers get

04:57Shohei Ohtani to strike out in the ninth inning and they win 5-4 and they avoid the sweep LA got

05:03off to a good start in this series but LA or the Blue Jays closed it out strong here's Dave Roberts on

05:08his team's performance on Sunday this is frustrating um this is frustrating because I just felt there's no

05:14way we should lose this game today um given the pitching for performance that we got from glass

05:20and um you know they expended everyone in the pen and we had them on the ropes numerous times and

05:26for us not to win today is uh just a frustrating one

05:30yeah we felt good we felt good and and you know the last thing I was thinking you know he was going to

05:39strike out but in that situation you know the guy doesn't have a big fastball and you got to stay to the

05:44middle of the field and that's just we got to come up with one right there and you know chasing the ball

05:48down below is something that we can't that you know that you know we can't have happen

05:53in a battle of two teams chasing the postseason wild card yesterday Brian Baio struggled for Boston

06:00Dylan Cease outdueled him the Padres beat the Red Sox by a final of 6-2 after the game Alex Cora

06:07manager of the Red Sox talking about some of the pitch selection which led to Baio giving up five earned

06:13runs you mentioned the change up would you like to see him throw that more not really I think keep

06:19being versatile I mean he's really good at what he's doing right now using all his pitches and you

06:25know I bet when there's a lot of lefties in the lineup we'll use the change up when not we use the

06:31sinker and the cutter and the four seamer I think you know every every five days regardless of the

06:37opponent this guy can give us six innings every single night the one the one the one big chance

06:42he kind of had there uh yeah we don't put them all in play uh you know Sudan got a good pitch to hit

06:49the first one he was a little bit early hit a foul the best team in baseball remains the hottest team

06:56in baseball the Milwaukee Brewers walk off the New York Mets nine straight wins for the Brewers

07:03and for the Mets they've lost seven games in a row things not going much better across town for the

07:09New York Yankees the Astros defeat them seven to one in the Bronx Houston with two out of three

07:14in the series how about Zach Wheeler he made his return to the Phillies said he had a little

07:20shoulder soreness but pitched very well yesterday five innings two earned runs and the Phillies beat

07:24the Rangers four to two Cal Raleigh's on pace for 61 home runs and maybe an MVP he hit his 45th

07:31home run of the season as the Mariners beat the Rays six to three and over in golf Justin Rose wins the

07:38St. Jude championship he won it in a very exciting playoff against U.S. Open champion J.J. Spahn
