00:43According to NDLEA, the businesswoman behind cocaine in lipsticks was nabbed, while opioids concealed inside footwares were recovered at Madaguri Airport.

01:29The first batch of the consignment consisting 57,420 pills of tramadol, 225 mg and 57 pellets of cocaine weighing 1.60 kg were intercepted in a cargo going to Gabon on Air Côte d'Ivoire on Saturday 19 July 2025.
01:49A popular cargo agent Ihekweme Osiniki-Benedict handling the shipment was immediately arrested, after which further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect Uzo Chukwu Godspawa Chukwara on Sunday 20 July.
02:0411 parcels of cocaine with a total weight of 1 kg were later recovered from four additional side mirrors being prepared for export found in the home of Uzo Chukwu on Monday 21 July, bringing the total number of parcels of cocaine to 68 weighing 2.60 kg.
02:23In a related development, NDLEA operatives on Friday 1 August arrested a businesswoman Mrs. Nawafah Rosanne Necker at her shop within the trade fair complex, a Joe, Lagos following the interception of 100 grams of cocaine and 300 grams of phenacetine, a cutting agent, concealed in ladies' lipsticks going to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, through the export shed of the Lagos airport on 10 July 2025.
02:53Two cargo agents linked to the shipment were earlier arrested before the eventual arrest of Necker who runs the criminal trade as a family business with her husband Remigas Nawafah, currently on the run.
03:05In her statement, Mrs. Nawafah admitted she bought the lipsticks used to conceal the illicit drugs while her husband handled the actual concealment.
03:14In Abuja, the nation's Federal Capital Territory, NDLEA operatives conducting intelligence-led stop-and-search operations in Gwarimpa, Jahi, and Guladamawa areas of the FCT on Wednesday 30 July arrested three dispatch riders,
03:32Sabo Sule, 24, Samuel Namdi, 28, and Idris Gibran, 28, for distributing illicit substances around the city.
03:42A total of 149.8 grams of Canadian loud, a strong strain of cannabis were recovered from them.
03:51Two other suspects, Aliyu Abu Bakar, 25, and Adi Kunle Agbabiaka, 30, were arrested along a Baji Guagulada expressway with 91.1 kg skunk, a strain of cannabis, on Saturday 2 August.
04:06In Lagos, NDLEA offices acting on intelligence on Saturday 2 August arrested Joseph Michael with 3.3 kg of Colorado, a synthetic strain of cannabis in motion while Ibrahim Suleiman was nabbed in a wire area of Yabba with 16.5 liters of scoochies on Friday 1 August.
04:28No fewer than 100,000 pills of tramadol capsules were seized from a suspect, Hussein Yusuf, 37, at an NDLEA checkpoint along Vandekia-Agoja Road in Banu State on Friday 1 August, while operatives in Edo State same day,
04:45raided a warehouse in a coma where a suspect William Alabi, 44, was arrested and 233.5 kg skunk recovered.
04:55In Borno State, NDLEA operatives at the arrival hall of the Mohamedou Buhari International Airport, MBIAM, made a guri on Friday 1 August intercepted a consignment of 160 pills of tramadol concealed in footwares by a 38-year-old passenger, Umar Aminu who was promptly arrested.
05:17While NDLEA operatives in Ogun State on Friday 1 August raided the Oyo-Oden area and arrested a female suspect, Yahaya Amanat-Sain, with 7,218 pills of opioids mainly tramadol,
05:33their counterparts in Oyo-Oden, their counterparts in Oyo State, Nabd-Oledegi-Saka, 54, with 77.5 kg of skunk Adesanike, Abaddon, just as another suspect Bensaniza, 40, was arrested in Abraka, Delta State with 12.5 kg skunk, 1 kg tramadol and 14.4 liters of codeine.
05:54In Bielsa State, NDLEA offices on Friday 1 August arrested 52-year-old chief Emeka Opara and Onuoha Chidinma, 25, along Tantua Road, Amasoma where a total of 41,705 tramadol capsules, among other assorted opioids were recovered from their shop and residence,
06:17while a suspect Bashir Gambo, 30, was nabbed at Yahyasa Town, Tudunwada local government area, Kano State, with 61 kg skunk.
06:28Two suspects, Kabiru Yinde, 40, and Rocky Badakombi, 25, were on Monday 28 July arrested at Al-Ogbo area of Iwo Town, Oson State, where 90 kg skunk, 36.3 grams of methamphetamine,
06:45a Toyota bus marked SMK 755YF and 228,200 Naira's cash exhibit were recovered from them.
06:55In like manner, commands and formations of the agency across the country continued their war against drug abuse, WADA, sensitization activities to schools, worship centers, workplaces and communities among others in the past week.
