00:00The people who are affected are people who are in the urban areas.

00:09They were not exposed to the mine action services in the past

00:13because the explosive hazard problem in the past was in the rural areas.

00:18So this is, you know, the population is largely unaware of the dangers that are waiting for them.

00:25I can tell you that there are only around 10 survey and clearance teams which are operating,

00:31which is really, really small and only dealing with the most critical areas.

00:37So there is a need for expanding efforts.

00:40We are working on raising awareness of the population, also among the aid workers,

00:45so that they are sensitized that because they will be going to the conflict affected areas.

00:50We need hundreds of teams to be deployed at the same time to many areas of the country.

00:59So the program needs significant resources.

01:03With the current resources, we can only do, you know, very limited work.
