00:00So we're here in Bridge North, and we're here with a member of Bridge North Lions, El Presidente, Dave Hampson.

00:06That's I, that's me.

00:08And representing Help for Heroes charity is?

00:11Rebecca Jones.

00:12Cool.

00:13And yours.

00:14Cool.

00:14So you've had an event, haven't you, that's done a bit of fundraising for a number of charities, including Help for Heroes.

00:21What was the event, Dave?

00:22Well, the most recent event that we did was Canine Carnival down in Seven Park and down at the Rugby Club.

00:28Yeah.

00:29A couple of weekends ago.

00:30But we're always raising money.

00:32We did the Bridge North walk a few months ago.

00:35Popular event there, isn't it?

00:36Yeah, yeah.

00:37Yeah.

00:37And the duck race as well on the bank holiday weekend, the other May bank holiday weekend.

00:42So we're continually raising money and continually giving it away to good causes.

00:48So we think there's just over £1,500, isn't there, that's come along for Help for Heroes?

00:54Yep, that's correct.

00:55We're very grateful for it.

00:56Yeah, well, I mean, just what do Help for Heroes do?

01:00So, Help for Heroes is a tri-service charity.

01:03We help veterans live well after service.

01:06So we support them in grants, with signposting, with helping them welfare-wise.

01:13We also have our Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters for veterans and their families, so

01:19that they can have somebody they can meet with and talk with that knows where they're coming

01:25from.

01:26It's valuable work, isn't it?

01:28And so you work full-time, but you volunteer as well, don't you?

01:32I don't know how you're having a chat.

01:33You're a busy girl.

01:34I don't know how you fit it in.

01:36So it's fair to say you're very appreciative of the money that's come from...

01:40Absolutely.

01:41Yeah.

01:41It's nice to hear where that money goes, isn't it, Dave?

01:44It's great to be able to do something for such a worthwhile cause, yes.

01:48Well, great stuff.
