00:00Hello and welcome to Tipping Point, the quiz where our players live on the edge of their nerves while you watch from the edge of your seat.
00:24It's all about this magnificent machine. She's stacked with counters which are all worth money.
00:30The players' job is simply to get them out over the tipping point and into their accounts.
00:34One of them will survive to play for £10,000, the others will leave with nothing.
00:39Let's meet the four players, all hoping they'll have that crucial edge today.
00:43I'm Rini, I'm airline cabin crew and I'm from Hampshire.
00:46I'm James, I'm a director of a timber merchant from Worcestershire.
00:49I'm Eve, I'm a marketing manager from Maidenhead.
00:51I'm Ben, I'm a project worker for a children's charity and I'm from Crawley.
00:55Welcome to all of you, best of luck. Let's play Tipping Point.
01:00In round one you have three counters, three chances to make some money.
01:05Questions are on the buzzer. A correct answer gives you a choice.
01:08Do you play one of your own counters or do you make one of your opponents play instead?
01:12For every counter that comes over the tipping point, you get £50.
01:15Whoever has the least money at the end of the round will leave us.
01:18Timing is everything, when to play and when to hold back.
01:21Don't forget, if you give me a wrong answer, we will take that precious counter and it will go into the penalty pot.
01:27All of those counters will be up for grabs on the buzzer on one question at the end of the round, so everything can change.
01:32OK, fingers on your buzzers, here comes your first question.
01:35In Greek mythology, who was the leader of the Argonauts?
01:39Ben?
01:40Jason.
01:41What's Jason, well done. Great start. Ben, would you like to play or would you like to pass?
01:44I think I'll play, Ben.
01:46You've been studying the machine nicely?
01:47Yeah.
01:48She's looking generous?
01:49She's looking, she's looking maybe ready to go, yeah.
01:52OK, whereabouts?
01:52I think I'll go with number four.
01:56OK, we're going to start a drop zone four, please.
01:59This is the first of your three counters, Ben.
02:01Let's see if we can get something over the tipping point and into your account.
02:03When you're ready, release away.
02:10Nice, very nice.
02:12Quick drop, second right in the middle.
02:13That's how we roll.
02:15That's how we roll.
02:15That's how we roll.
02:20It hasn't paid off, I'm afraid, Ben.
02:22Just goes to show you can never be sure what sort of damage you can do.
02:26But having said that, there's a huge overhang over that top shelf now.
02:29Yeah, it's a pretty good position.
02:30Looking good for somebody to come in.
02:32Unfortunately, he's dropped.
02:34So you've used up your first counter, Ben, I'm afraid.
02:36Yeah.
02:36Long way still to go.
02:38Next question, everybody.
02:39Which European city is served by Marco Polo Airport?
02:43Greeny.
02:44Venice.
02:44It is Venice.
02:45Do you fancy putting one in the machine?
02:47I'm going to ask Ben to put one of his in the machine.
02:51Wow.
02:52So it could be your chance to get revenge on the machine,
02:55or Greeny could have played quite a hard hand there.
02:58What do you reckon?
03:00I think I'll go with drop zone four again.
03:02Okay.
03:03Okay.
03:05Let's get something over the tipping point when you're ready.
03:10Ooh.
03:10Ooh.
03:11Ooh.
03:12Ooh.
03:12Ooh.
03:13Tricky.
03:13Not so happy.
03:14You need something now, Ben.
03:15Yeah.
03:16It's not looking too good.
03:17Yeah.
03:18Settle nicely.
03:18It's a tipping point.
03:20Ooh.
03:21Ooh.
03:21Ooh.
03:22You need something over the edge.
03:23Ooh.
03:23Ooh.
03:24Ooh.
03:24Ooh.
03:25Ooh.
03:25Ooh.
03:26Ooh.
03:27Ooh.
03:27Ooh.
03:27Yeah.
03:28It's a tipping point.
03:29Ooh.
03:29Ooh.
03:30Ooh.
03:31Six over the tipping point.
03:32300 pounds.
03:33Thank you, sir.
03:34Reanie, that could have been yours.
03:35Thank you, sir.
03:36As it is, it's going straight into Ben's bank.
03:38Well played, Ben.
03:38You've got one counter left.
03:39Woo.
03:40Reanie, James, Eve.
03:41We need to get some money.
03:42Try and track him down.
03:43Champion driver Sebastian Vettel races for which Formula One team?
03:47James.
03:48Red Bull.
03:48It is Red Bull.
03:49Well done, James.
03:50So, was that to play?
03:52Or would you like to pass?
03:53I think I'll have a go.
03:55Yeah?
03:55Whereabouts?
03:56I'm going to go for three, I think.
03:57We're going to go with drop zone three for James.
04:01OK.
04:05Ooh.
04:07It's a quick, clean drop.
04:08Come on.
04:08Nice.
04:09Over the edge.
04:10Oh, yeah.
04:11Come on.
04:13Push.
04:13Could be good.
04:14Yes.
04:15Oh, nicely done.
04:15150 pounds.
04:17Straight off your first counter and you're on the board.
04:20Well done.
04:21Everybody in.
04:22What type of clothing are pedal pushers?
04:26James.
04:27Trousers.
04:28You could have trousers, short trousers or calf length trousers.
04:32I'll accept them all.
04:33Well done.
04:33You get another go.
04:34Well, it worked last time, so I'll have another go myself, I think.
04:36OK.
04:37Where are you going to go?
04:38I'm going to go for four, I think, this time.
04:41We're going further over to drop zone four with James's second counter.
04:49Oh, baby.
04:50Oh.
04:51Oh.
04:52It's always nice when it comes out and settles, but is that going to go over the edge?
04:55It is.
04:55Oh, come on.
04:56Push a bit.
04:57Push a bit.
04:57One of the tipping points.
04:58Go on.
05:00Another one over the tipping point.
05:01They all count.
05:0250 pounds for you, James.
05:04Into your bank.
05:05You've now got 200 pounds.
05:06Everybody, hands on your buzzers.
05:07In 2011, which cricket star got engaged to Liz Hurley?
05:12Ben.
05:13Shane Warne.
05:13That's right.
05:14It's your last counter, Ben.
05:16You can either play it or you could force somebody else to have a go.
05:20I think I'm going to have a go.
05:22You're going to play it?
05:22OK.
05:23Yeah, go big.
05:23I'll stick with the old favourite.
05:24Drop zone four.
05:25Yeah.
05:25OK.
05:26You need to get as much money as you can now, Ben.
05:28Try and extend this lead.
05:29It's OK.
05:36Settle flat.
05:37Are you going to get enough over the edge?
05:38There you go.
05:39Yes, you are.
05:39Oh.
05:40Oh.
05:41I'm going to get something.
05:42OK, does that make it?
05:43Another two.
05:44Yay.
05:45Let's take that 100 pounds.
05:47I'm going to put it into your bank, Ben.
05:48You've used up all your counters, but you've got 400 pounds.
05:51So, Rini, James and Eve, this question's for you.
05:54Antrim and Down are counties, Rini?
05:57Northern Ireland.
05:58That's correct.
05:59Well done, Rini.
06:00Now, are you going to play this time?
06:01Feeling brave?
06:02I'm going to play.
06:03OK.
06:04What do you think?
06:05Number three.
06:06OK, we're going to go with drop zone three.
06:08See if we can get Rini's account open.
06:11Some money over the tipping point.
06:12Rini, when you're ready, release your first count.
06:20They're all settling nicely.
06:27Could be good.
06:28Oh.
06:29Oh.
06:30Six.
06:31Oh, with the tipping points.
06:33I like that.
06:33Yeah, I'm not surprised.
06:35You've got yourself 300 pounds.
06:36That goes straight into your bank.
06:38Great start.
06:39In the Pirates of the Caribbean films, who plays Elizabeth Swans?
06:43Eve.
06:44Keira Knightley.
06:44That's right.
06:45OK, so, would you like to play Eve, or would you like to put James or Rini in the position?
06:50I think I'll give it a go.
06:51OK, whereabouts?
06:52Uh, number three, please.
06:54OK, let's have drop zone three, please.
06:56When you're ready, go where you go.
06:57Just came back towards us, didn't it?
07:09That was our one.
07:10Now then.
07:10Ooh.
07:11Come on.
07:13Come on, come on.
07:13You're going to get enough of a nudge on that small overhang.
07:16This middle one, come on.
07:18The middle.
07:19Oh, no.
07:20Oh, yes.
07:21Come on, come on, come on.
07:24Two.
07:24Over the tipping point.
07:26Take that £100 and put it straight in your bank.
07:28Everybody has money now.
07:29It is very, very close.
07:31Next question.
07:32Which comic strip hero's enemy is called Bluto?
07:36James.
07:37Popeye.
07:37It is Popeye.
07:39So, your last counter, would you like to play it?
07:41I'll play.
07:42OK.
07:43I think I'll go for two.
07:44All right.
07:45First time down drop zone two today.
07:47You need four counters out to draw a level with Ben.
07:54That'll do.
07:56That could be good if it lies flat.
07:57We need it to get down flat.
07:59There you go.
07:59That's nice.
08:01Can it shift them?
08:02Go on, fall.
08:03Stay there.
08:04Come on.
08:06Nice.
08:06Yes, that's what we wanted.
08:07Oh, no.
08:08Stay there.
08:09Come on.
08:10Three over the tipping point.
08:12Another £150, James.
08:14You end up with £350.
08:16You've used up all your counters.
08:17Like Ben, you are out of the running for the time being.
08:20Eve, you've got £100.
08:21We need £300.
08:23Your question.
08:24Il Duce was the title adopted by which Italian director?
08:28Rini?
08:28Mussolini.
08:29It was Mussolini.
08:31Which Italian dictator?
08:33Would you like to play, Rini?
08:34Or would you like to force Eve to play instead?
08:36Well, it's all looking nicely piled up in front of drop zone four.
08:40But if it goes anywhere else, it doesn't look so good.
08:45But I'll risk it.
08:46I'll go for number four.
08:47Okay.
08:48We're going to go with drop zone four.
08:49We need to be pretty accurate or as accurate as we can be, Rini.
08:52Very quick and clean drop.
08:58Is that what you wanted it?
08:59Mm-hmm.
08:59Come on, come on, come on.
09:00Oh, there she goes.
09:01Ooh.
09:02Oh, flip.
09:03Yes.
09:04Oh, another two.
09:06That's okay.
09:07Stick that £100 into your bank.
09:09That means you have £400 with just the one counter remaining.
09:13Eve, you've got two and £100.
09:15Need to try and get you some money, Eve.
09:16Mm-hmm.
09:16Which Elton John hit begins with the words,
09:19it's a little bit funny, this feeling inside?
09:21Eve.
09:22Your song?
09:23Is your song.
09:23Well done.
09:24Phew.
09:24Do you fancy forcing Rini to play a last counter?
09:27Or do you think the machine's looking generous and you can get some money?
09:30I think I'm going to give it a try.
09:32Okay.
09:33I think I'll go for number two.
09:35You've got two counters left.
09:38Are you ready?
09:40Away you go.
09:44Oh.
09:45Come on, come on.
09:47They always tempt fate when they're on their edge.
09:49Oh, come on.
09:50It's flat.
09:51It is flat.
09:52Can you get something over the lip?
09:54Stay where you are.
09:54Stay.
09:55Come on, come on, come on, come on.
09:56Don't fall.
09:57Come on, come on, come on.
09:58Come on, come on, it's a...
10:00Oh.
10:00Oh, oh.
10:02Two, which is £100, which goes straight into your bank.
10:05You have £200.
10:06The next question.
10:08What does the A stand for in the name of the London Museum, the V&A?
10:13Feeney?
10:14Albert.
10:14It is Albert.
10:15Well done.
10:16So you've got one counter left.
10:18Do you fancy playing it or do you fancy making Eve use her last counter?
10:21Drop Zone 4 has been good to me, so I'm going to go for Drop Zone 4.
10:26We're going to stick there?
10:26Yeah.
10:26Oh, that slid a bit too far, or is that OK?
10:36Oh.
10:38Oh.
10:40Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
10:41Please, please, please.
10:42Oh, man.
10:43Oh, loads.
10:44Another six over the dimming point, so we get £300.
10:48You now have £700.
10:50You've now taken the lead.
10:50Well played.
10:51So we come to you, Eve.
10:53Your last chance to get some money.
10:55In which month is All Hallows Eve?
11:00Eve.
11:01October.
11:01It is October.
11:03Well done.
11:03So, nothing in the penalty pot.
11:06This is your last chance.
11:07You need four counters over the tipping point to get through to the next round.
11:12This is tough, because they're right on the edge on number four, but there aren't many
11:17up on the top shell.
11:18I think I'm still going to have to go for number four.
11:21Drop Zone 4 has been very popular in this round.
11:23It will be even more popular if you can get four counters out now and you go through.
11:27If not, Eve, you will be going home.
11:29It's crucial.
11:34Ooh.
11:36Is that going to be good?
11:37Stay where you are.
11:38Ooh.
11:39Don't.
11:39Don't.
11:40Oh, no.
11:41It was just too far over.
11:44You can't believe it.
11:45Which means at the end of round one, Eve has 200 pounds, Ben has 400 pounds, James 350.
11:51Our runaway leader at the moment is Rini with 700 pounds, but with just 200 pounds,
11:55Eve, I'm afraid we've found your tipping point.
11:57Thank you for playing.
11:58Rini, James and Ben are all one step closer to our 10,000 pound jackpot.
12:03In round two, they will each face 30 seconds of questions.
12:06Each correct answer they give me gives them a chance to earn some more cash.
12:10Once again, the player with the least amount of money at the end of the round will be leaving the game.
12:14Rini, you are in the lead, 700 pounds.
12:19You played that first round very well.
12:20You've got a big decision now, though.
12:21Do you think the machine is ready to pay out and you want to play her?
12:24Or would you like James or Ben to go instead?
12:27I'm going to go first.
12:30I think there's still that lovely pile at zone four, so I'm going to try and get that.
12:36Okay.
12:36They are looking very tempting, aren't they?
12:38You're going to have 30 seconds to answer as many questions as you possibly can.
12:41For each question you get correct, you'll get a counter to put into the machine.
12:45Your 30 seconds starts now.
12:48Which Friends actor stars as himself in the TV comedy episodes?
12:51Matt LeBlanc.
12:52Correct.
12:53Referred to by the Queen as her Annus Horribilis, in which year was the Windsor Castle fire?
12:571997.
12:58It was 92.
12:59Before German reunification, what was the capital of West Germany?
13:03Bomb.
13:04Correct.
13:05With which professional sport do you associate the names Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth?
13:08Baseball.
13:09Correct.
13:10Which musical features the songs All That Jazz and Mr Cellophane?
13:13Chicago.
13:14Correct.
13:14In 2007, who replaced Kofi and Anna as the UN Secretary General?
13:17Banksy Moon.
13:18Banksy Moon.
13:19I've got to take your first answer.
13:21It was Banky Moon, I'm sorry.
13:23Four questions correct, which means you've got four cracks at the machine.
13:27Drop Zone 4, that tipping point is looking very tempting.
13:30Do you want to go there or somewhere else?
13:31I'll start at Drop Zone 4.
13:34Okay, let's fire up Drop Zone 4.
13:37When you're ready, release your first one.
13:43It's out, is it going to settle?
13:46Yeah.
13:46Will it go over the edge?
13:49This could be very tidy.
13:51A very tidy start.
13:52Oh, no!
13:55That's unfortunate.
13:56There's a lot of counters ready to fall.
13:59They've got to have a good old shove, haven't they?
14:01Yeah.
14:02I think I'll keep going at number 4.
14:04I thought you might.
14:05Drop Zone 4, please.
14:06That's nice.
14:08That's where I want to sit.
14:12That's better.
14:16Two over the top would help.
14:16Oh, it's just being pinned.
14:19Don't drop now.
14:21Drop now.
14:21There you go.
14:23It's listening.
14:24It's doing what you ask.
14:25Will it get something over the tipping point and will it be enough?
14:29One.
14:30It's £50.
14:32Two counters left to go.
14:33Are you going to take a risk and go somewhere else or are you going to persist?
14:36I'm not going to leave it alone.
14:37No, I didn't think so.
14:39I'm going to go for Drop Zone 4 again.
14:40Okay.
14:42See if we can make this one count.
14:44When you're ready.
14:51Is that the right place?
14:54Is it going to settle down?
14:56It's flat.
14:58You just need one in the right place.
15:02Oh, dear.
15:06There you go.
15:06Right then, Rini.
15:08What are you going to do with the last one?
15:09I'm still going to stick with Drop Zone 4.
15:11Okay.
15:11This is your last one now, Rini.
15:13You are £350 ahead of Ben in second at the moment.
15:17So you've still got a lead.
15:25Oh, come on, please.
15:31Another one.
15:32And that silver counter could drop.
15:34Oh, there you go.
15:36This could be the one.
15:39Yes.
15:39Yes.
15:40Finally.
15:41An extra six fell to join that one that was on its own to 350 goes into your bank.
15:46You've extended your lead.
15:47£1,050.
15:49Well played.
15:50So, Ben, we come to you.
15:51You came into this round in second place.
15:53I did, yes.
15:54Would you like to play or would you like to see James have a go first instead?
15:58Erm, I think I'll play.
16:00You ready?
16:01Yep.
16:02Your 30 seconds starts now.
16:05In 2012, which football team won the Premier League?
16:07Erm, Manchester City.
16:09Correct.

16:25Correct.
16:26Yogi Bear stole picnic baskets from people in which fictional park?
16:29Yellowstone.
16:30It was jellistone.
16:30Ah.
16:31Manuka and acacia are varieties of which edible sweet liquid?
16:36Now, time.
16:36Honey, just the two correct answers, Ben.
16:39I think, to start, I'm going to go with the old favourite of drop zone four,
16:45just to see if I can get that big lump off of the end there.
16:48Okay, so we're not asking much.
16:50Drop zone four, please.
16:51We'll see.
16:51It needs to be landing on a sixth pence, as they say.
16:56Not quite far enough.
17:04I don't know.
17:05That's not really where I wanted it to go, but...
17:07It's going to split those two, isn't it?
17:08We'll see what happens.
17:09Stay where you are.
17:11Thanks for the support, James.
17:14Oh!
17:14At least I could do.
17:16Whoa.
17:16Yay!
17:18Eight over the tipping point.
17:20Wow.
17:21That's £400, which we stick into the bank, Ben.
17:23Not bad.
17:24So you've got one left.
17:26I think, just to change it up, I'm going to go for drop zone two.
17:29Drop zone two?
17:30Yeah.
17:30He's not had any action just yet.
17:33Is it going to pay off this time?
17:35Ben, release your final count.
17:40Six counters will guarantee you a place in the next round.
17:42Five will draw your level with weenie.
17:49Is it going to go over the edge?
17:50That's right where you are.
17:51Ooh!
17:52No!
17:52Don't breathe.
17:54Unlucky.
17:56Held tight along that top shelf.
17:57Unfortunately, that one didn't pay off.
17:58But we take that £400 from your first counter.
18:01Ben, put it into your bank, which means you now have £800.
18:05You're just sitting in second.
18:06That's the target for you, James.
18:08You've got £350.
18:09Last but by no means least.
18:11OK, you're going to have 30 seconds to answer as many questions correctly as you can.
18:15You ready?
18:16Yep.
18:16Your 30 seconds starts now.
18:18Which band's songs feature in the musical We Will Rock You?
18:21Queen.
18:21Correct.
18:22Which reality star split from Chris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage?
18:26Kim Kardashian.
18:27Which classic horror novel is subtitled or the modern Prometheus?
18:31Pass.
18:32Frankenstein.
18:32Ray Davis was the lead singer and songwriter for which...
18:35Correct.
18:35At the 2009 World Championship, Jessica Ennis won a gold medal in which athletics event?
18:39A pentathlon.
18:40It's heptathlon.
18:41Which film director played Richie Cunningham in the US TV sitcom Happy Days?
18:44Ron Howard.
18:44Correct.
18:45In May 2012, who was sacked from his post as manager of Liverpool FC?
18:48Um...
18:49Pass.
18:51Kenny Dalgalish.
18:52Ah!
18:52Three counters, three correct answers, James.
18:54Not too bad.
18:55You've got a chance to do some damage.
18:57Well, as Ben's left it how it is, it would be rude not to go for two, I think.
19:03Five counters will draw you level with Ben.
19:05Six will see you through to the next round.
19:07When you're ready?
19:13Is that what you wanted it?
19:14No, but it's a start.
19:16You can use these tactically, so as long as it's flat, which it is, you can do some damage.
19:22Anything over the shelf could be good.
19:23Come on, push.
19:25There you go.
19:26Those will do, come on.
19:29Yes, thank you.
19:30Seven over the tipping point, 350 pounds.
19:34Where next?
19:35Well, as it's been underused, I'm going to go for one, I think.
19:40For the first time today, drop zone one is coming into play.
19:46Are you ready?
19:47Come out nicely.
19:48Come out nicely.
19:52Come out nicely.
19:56Not this time.
19:57One counter left, James.
19:59If you take a risk, go somewhere else, would you try and take advantage of the one that you've put over the edge of that top shelf?
20:06Well, it's looking tempting still, so I'm going to stick with one.
20:09Okay, drop zone one for the last counter in this round.
20:12Come on.
20:14Come on.
20:15Come on.
20:15I think you might be okay.
20:21I think you might be okay.
20:22There you go.
20:23Three into the wind zone, and you're going through.
20:28Yes!
20:28Four!
20:29Over the tipping point, another 200 pounds by the skin of your teeth.
20:36James, you put that 550 pounds into your bank, which means at the end of that round, Rini has 1,050 pounds.
20:43James, with the drop of the last counter, goes through with 900 pounds.
20:48Ben, we found your tipping point.
20:50Thanks for playing.
20:50Thanks a lot.
20:51James joins Rini in a head-to-head battle for the chance to play for 10,000 pounds in our jackpot.
20:56As it stands, there's not much in it either.
20:58Rini is just 150 pounds ahead with 1,050 pounds.
21:02James, you have 900 pounds.
21:04In this round, you'll face six questions, which will alternate between you.
21:08Three each.
21:08For every question, there is a precious counter up for grabs.
21:11If you're not sure you know the answer, you can pass it to your opponent to answer.
21:15If they're wrong, you still keep the counter.
21:18But if they get it right, they steal it from under your nose.
21:21It's a massive tactical decision.
21:23Whoever has the most amount of money at the end of this round is our winner,
21:27and will go forward to play for our 10,000 pound jackpot.
21:30Winner, you came into this round in the lead, which means you can choose.
21:32Would you like to face the first question, or would you like James to take it?
21:36I'll take the first question.
21:38Okay, here we go. This is your first question.
21:42Which member of Girls Aloud released the debut solo album, Cinderella's Eyes?
21:46I think I'd pass this question to James.
21:52Yeah. James, you love them, don't you?
21:55No.
21:56No, this couldn't be any worse.
21:59Oh, really?
22:00Can you think of any girls?
22:01Well, yes.
22:02Which ones?
22:02I can do two.
22:03I can do Cheryl Cole, and I don't think it's Cheryl Cole.
22:06So I've got to go with the other one I can name, which is Nadine Coyle.
22:12If it is Nadine, then you've stolen the counter.
22:14If it's not, Reanie, well played.
22:17Is the answer Nadine Coyle?
22:21It was Nicola Roberts.
22:23So you get to put your counter in the machine, Reanie.
22:24Where would you like to start?
22:25I'm going to go for zone number one.
22:27It's looking nice and full there.
22:29Okay.
22:31Are you ready, Reanie?
22:37Where you wanted it?
22:38Yeah, that looks good.
22:39Not where I wanted it.
22:41There you go.
22:41Over the top.
22:43Some weight.
22:44Anything over the tipping point?
22:47Five counters over the tipping point.
22:49That'll do.
22:50£250 is a great start.
22:53Put that into your bank.
22:54You now have £1,300.
22:56Your first question, James.
23:01What colour jumper is worn by Rupert Bear?
23:08Oh, I've got two colours in my head and it's always the way, isn't it?
23:12I'm going to pass it.
23:15Okay, Reanie.
23:16My lovely daughter, who's now 15,
23:19still has her Rupert the Bear toy that Nanny gave to her,
23:23and I believe his jumper's red.
23:25Is the answer red?
23:30It is, it is red.
23:32Well done, Reanie.
23:33James, unfortunately, that didn't quite pay off.
23:35You get another counter, Reanie, to extend your lead.
23:37Where do you want to go?
23:38I'm going to go for number one again.
23:40Let's see if we can make this one a little more effective again.
23:50Wow.
23:51Flew down.
23:52It settled nicely.
23:56Oh, not going to go, is it?
23:57I don't think it's going anywhere.
23:59James.
24:01That's a relief.
24:02It certainly is.
24:03Reanie, we come to your second question.
24:06Which artist created The Scream, which, in 2012,
24:10became the most expensive artwork ever sold at auction?
24:13The Scream, I think, was painted by Edvard Munch.
24:17Is Edvard Munch the right answer?
24:24It is.
24:25Well done.
24:26It's sold for just under 74 million pounds.
24:31Where are you going to go?
24:32Creature of habit.
24:32I'm going to go for number one.
24:34Fair enough.
24:35See if we can get something over the tipping point.
24:37When you're ready, release your counter.
24:43Oh, not in that spot.
24:45Flying out.
24:45There's a big old hole there, isn't there?
24:47It's still full.
24:49Oh.
24:50Oh, my goodness.
24:51Staying where it is.
24:52So, James, we come to your second question.
24:54Here we go.
24:56The world's tallest building as of June 2012,
24:59the Burj Khalifa is in which city?
25:02You don't have to answer, but would Rini know?
25:07Well, it's not one I'm keen to pass to Rini,
25:10because when you travel as much as someone like Rini,
25:12you're probably going to know where it is.
25:14However, it doesn't help when I don't know where it is.
25:17Yeah, I can imagine.
25:18Any ideas?
25:19I've got several ideas, but actually, there's a long list.
25:24I'm going to have to pass, because I'm sure I'm about to get it wrong.
25:27He's passed it, Rini.
25:29And I know you're going to know it.
25:30Was he wise to pass it?
25:31I think it's Dubai.
25:34Is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai?
25:39It is.
25:40It is in Dubai.
25:42Right then, Rini, another count to put in.
25:44Well, I'd really like number one to pay out for me, please.
25:47It hasn't yet, has it?
25:48No, no, no, they seem to be stuck there, but I'm going to give it another nudge.
25:53Okay.
25:54Playing very hard to get up till now, Rini.
26:02That could be just what you needed.
26:03Oh, come on, come on, come on.
26:06This could be...
26:07Please.
26:08Some or four.
26:09Drop.
26:09There you go.
26:12Rini, finally you managed to get some from drop zone one.
26:16In fact, you got ten over the tipping point, which is £500.
26:21We said that £500, put it into your bank, you now have £1,800.
26:25This is your third and final question.
26:30Shakespeare's character Hamlet is the prince of which European country?
26:35I believe I know this.
26:38I think he's the prince of Denmark.
26:41Is Hamlet the prince of Denmark?
26:43Yes, well done, Rini.
26:48Where do you want to go?
26:48Number one is looking full at the top, but a bit sparse at the bottom,
26:54unless it falls in the right place between one and two.
27:03No, I should have it tattooed into my forehead, number one.
27:05You're going back with drop zone one?
27:07Yeah, number one.
27:08Okay, we're going to take drop zone one.
27:11This could be your last one.
27:13Is that what you wanted it?
27:17That will do.
27:18I think it will.
27:21Just a little nudge.
27:23Anything else to come?
27:24I think so.
27:24Lovely.
27:25Three more.
27:27Another £150 over the tipping point.
27:30That goes into your bank.
27:33Here comes your last question, James.
27:37Fashion designer Jeff Banks co-founded which high street fashion chain
27:41in 1976.
27:46You don't have to answer.
27:47You can pass to Rini.
27:49Yeah, and I've been very successful at doing that so far.
27:51Um, I really don't know and I can't hazard a guess.
27:56Um, and if I did it would probably be horribly wrong, so I'm going to pass it again.
28:01Rini, he's giving you another chance.
28:04I'm thinking French Connection.
28:08Don't think it's French Connection.
28:10Um, but that's all I can think of until you tell me the right answer.
28:19So, do you want to go with French Connection?
28:21I'll go with French Connection.
28:23Did Jeff Banks co-found French Connection?
28:29He didn't.
28:30It was Warehouse.
28:31Right.
28:32It was Warehouse.
28:33You know, James Warehouse.
28:34Oh, yes.
28:35Yes.
28:36No.
28:37So we keep packing cases.
28:38Exactly.
28:39It's very similar.
28:40That's all I can find.
28:40Very, very similar.
28:41Right then, at last.
28:43Oh, at last I get a go.
28:45Well, the only amount that's looking vaguely interesting is the one slap bang in the middle.
28:51Mm-hmm.
28:52Um, have a go at three and see where it takes me to.
29:0322 counters will see you through to the next round.
29:07Keep saying it.
29:08It'll sound good.
29:09Come on.
29:09Hey, look, it's flat.
29:13Anything over the edge?
29:16No, it wasn't going to be.
29:19Everything was conspiring against you in that round, James.
29:21I'm afraid you haven't got anything out of the machine.
29:24Rini, you played that quite superbly.
29:26Well done to you.
29:26You go through with £1,950 with just £900, James.
29:31I'm afraid we've certainly found your tipping point.
29:33Thank you for playing.
29:34Very well played to you in a couple of minutes.
29:36Rini's going to be putting this jackpot counter into our machine.
29:39It's just a little bit bigger, but it's a whole lot better.
29:41Because, Rini, if you can get this out, you'll be leaving with £10,000.
29:45You feeling confident?
29:48Yes.
29:48Yes.
29:49Yes, I am.
29:49As it stands, you've got £1,950.
29:53Now, we're going to play for today's £10,000 jackpots.
29:56In a few moments, I'm going to ask you to put our gold jackpot counter into the machine.
30:01Quite simply, if you want to leave with £10,000, you just need to get it out again.
30:05And here's how you're going to do it.
30:07I'm going to ask you six questions, Rini, each on a given subject.
30:10For each subject, you can choose one, two or three answers, three goes at the machine.
30:15The more goes you play for, the harder the question's going to be.
30:18But the more goes you win, the better your chance of getting the jackpot counter out of the machine and going home with £10,000.
30:24If you don't succeed, you get £50 for every counter over the tipping points, but we want you to leave with that jackpot.
30:30So, shall we release the jackpot counter?
30:32Yes.
30:33Where is going to be the most effective place to put it to get it out again?
30:37I think I'll send it into number two.
30:40OK, drop zone two, please.
30:42When you're ready, release your jackpot counter.
30:49Oh, that's a nice drop.
30:52You're not giving me any way. Are you pleased with that?
30:54Yes, I think so. I wanted it to go somewhere that there wasn't too many around it,
30:58because hopefully, if I get some more counters behind it, it will push it out quite quickly.
31:04You've got six over the tipping points just by dropping your jackpot counter into the machine,
31:09which is another £300, which is a lovely start.
31:13So, here are your six end-game categories.
31:18Transport, music, words, comedians, tennis and animals.
31:24Do you want to go for something you're confident with, get off to a good start,
31:26or maybe take a risk on something you're not so sure about?
31:30I'm going to go for something that it could be wide open.
31:33I'm going to go for animals.
31:35Animals for how many?
31:36For two.
31:36OK, let's start with an animals question for two counters, please.
31:41Here it is.
31:42The red admiral and the cabbage white are types of which insect?
31:47Beetle, butterfly or grasshopper?
31:50Butterfly.
31:51Seem pretty adamant about that.
31:52Yes, definitely.
31:52You know this one?
31:53Yeah.
31:54OK, we're going to go with butterfly.
31:55Is the answer butterfly?
31:57Of course it is.
32:00Well done.
32:00Great start.
32:01So, we've got ourselves two counters.
32:03Start trying to shift that jackpot.
32:05Drop zone two?
32:07Drop zone two, please.
32:08It's flow now.
32:18We're going to clear that shelf in front of it though, aren't we?
32:21Yeah.
32:21There you go.
32:22Just a little bit forward.
32:23Anything over the tipping points?
32:26Another four counters over the tipping points.
32:29Another £200 for you.
32:31Reanie, your bank's gone up to £2,450.
32:33We've got one more to put in for this category.
32:36Drop zone two?
32:36Yep.
32:38Away you go.
32:44Hmm.
32:46Got something over the edge.
32:47Yep.
32:49Any action on the tipping point?
32:51Not this time.
32:52Not horrific.
32:53No.
32:53But not great.
32:54Let's get your next subject up.
32:56Transport, music, words, comedians or tennis?
32:59Another ambiguous one for me is words.
33:04So, I'll get that out of the way and I'll try that with two as well, please.
33:08Okay, we'll have a words question for two counters, please.
33:12The word sayonara means what in Japanese?
33:16Hello, goodbye or thank you.
33:20Have you ever flown to Japan?
33:21I have, I have and I'm trying to think when the passengers come on board, what do I say?
33:27And I say konnichiwa.
33:28Konnichiwa.
33:29I say goodbye and I say sayonara.
33:32Goodness, you're practically bilingual.
33:34So, we think it's goodbye.
33:35So, sayonara means goodbye in Japanese.
33:38I'm going to go with goodbye.
33:40Does sayonara mean goodbye?
33:44Yes, well done.
33:45It does exactly mean goodbye.
33:47They're all falling nicely, aren't they, these questions?
33:49Yes.
33:50So, two more drop zone two?
33:52Yes, please.
33:52Okay, you just need your counter to drop nicely, just behind that jacket.
33:57It would be lovely.
34:00There you go.
34:01That could be good.
34:03Is he going to say sayonara onto that top shelf?
34:07Not this time, but it's very close.
34:11And another three over the tipping point, so it's another 150 pounds.
34:16One more to go, drop zone two?
34:17Yep.
34:18Okay.
34:18Drop zone two.
34:19Another one, just like that last one, would be perfect.
34:27Oh!
34:28That's fine.
34:29Are we going to say konnichiwa this time?
34:32No!
34:32Oh, no!
34:33Right to the gap.
34:33It just edged to the left.
34:35What you have done is you've set up a nice bank of counters in front of it.
34:39So, anything you get now is going to push it forward, hopefully.
34:42So, we're left with transport, music, comedians and tennis.
34:47I'm going to go for comedians and I'm going to try and get that jackpot moving and go for three.
34:56Okay.
34:57I'm going to go with a comedians question for three.
35:00Brave move.
35:01Let's hope it pays off.
35:03Which of these comedians starred as Vivian in the comedy series The Young Ones?
35:09Ade Edmondson, Steve Coogan or Tony Robinson?
35:13I don't think Steve Coogan was in The Young Ones.
35:17Did you just watch it?
35:18Yeah, I did.
35:19Not avidly, but it always makes me smile when I think of, um,
35:24Rick Mayall, like, oh, Vivian!
35:26He did.
35:26And I think it was Ade Edmondson.
35:29Okay, we're going to go with Ade Edmondson, please.
35:32Did Ade Edmondson play Vivian in The Young Ones?
35:37He did.
35:38Great.
35:38Well done.
35:40Right.
35:41So, I'm going to blitz drop zone two.
35:44I'd really like to get that counter over the edge.
35:46Get it moving towards the, uh, towards the end point.
35:49Yeah.
35:51We're going for a blitz on this.
35:56Oh, that'll do.
35:57We'll get some movement.
35:59Come on, be good.
36:00Oh, it's just gone the other way again.
36:04It's not as easy as it looks, is it?
36:07Two more to add to the total.
36:08Another £100.
36:09£2,700 in your bank.
36:12Two to go.
36:13When you're ready.
36:14And drop zone two again.
36:15Drop zone two.
36:16Another one has fallen over the tipping point from in front of drop zone one.
36:22So that takes you 2750.
36:25It's in a great position.
36:26You ready?
36:27Okay.
36:27When you want.
36:33Oh, that's nice.
36:34That might shift it a bit.
36:35That is very nice.
36:37Be good.
36:37Over the ledge.
36:38Come on.
36:38Yes.
36:39Yes.
36:40Well done.
36:42Shift those as well.
36:46I enjoyed that one.
36:46Good.
36:47It's just making a little space for itself.
36:49It is, isn't it?
36:49It's like the parting of the Red Sea.
36:52Drop zone two?
36:53Yep.
36:53Drop zone two.
37:01Anything over the edge is what we want.
37:03Push left.
37:03There you go.
37:04Go on.
37:04Be good.
37:04Three subjects left.
37:08Transport, music and tennis.
37:12Where do you go next?
37:16I'm going to go for tennis.
37:18And I'll take three.
37:23Is that a bit of a risk?
37:24It is a risk, yeah.
37:25Yeah.
37:26We're going to go for a very brave three counters on tennis, please.
37:33In which year did the British tennis player Virginia Wade win the Wimbledon ladies singles final?
37:40Was it 1967, 1977 or 1987?
37:4635 years ago, it was the silver jubilee.
37:49Right.
37:50And Virginia Wade, I am sure she won it in that year.
37:532012 would be 35 years ago.
37:56So I believe it's 1977.
37:58So we're going to go with 1977?
38:00Yes.
38:00It is 77.
38:02It's another cracking answer and three more counters.
38:06That's right.
38:08She did.
38:09And two have fallen.
38:12In all the excitement, the machine's getting excited too.
38:15Throwing them over the tipping point.
38:16Another £100, you've got £2,850.
38:21A £10,000 jackpot counter.
38:24You now have three goes at shifting.
38:27Okay, drop zone two.
38:28Drop zone two, please.
38:29Let's do it.
38:30Drop zone two, please.
38:34When you're ready, release the first of these three.
38:36A bit too far over, isn't it?
38:42Just a touch.
38:44Ah, but that'll do.
38:45That'll do.
38:47That's the one we wanted.
38:48Keep pushing.
38:49Keep pushing.
38:50Really, we are so close now.
38:51Oh, dear.
38:53So another £50 makes you £2,900.
38:57Drop zone two again.
38:57Yes, please.
38:58Drop zone two, please.
38:59Two left for this catcher.
39:03You're so close.
39:08Oh, now that isn't going to see anything over the edge.
39:13Oh, you feel that space.
39:15Ah, okay.
39:17You've got another one.
39:19They are teetering on the edge, aren't they?
39:21Yeah, and I'm going to blitz drop zone two again.
39:24Okay.
39:32Oh.
39:33You just need to get something over.
39:35This will clear that shelf.
39:38Oh.
39:38Still nothing.
39:40Don't you just hate it when that happens?
39:41Really?
39:43How frustrating.
39:44You have two categories left.
39:46Potentially, you've got six counters.
39:48Where would you like to go, music or transport?
39:51I'll go for transport, please.
39:53And I'll go middle of the road and take two.
39:56Transport question for two.
39:57If it's about planes, that would be lovely.
40:01Which central London station is the terminus for Eurostar trains?
40:06Euston, Liverpool Street or St Pancras International?
40:11It's St Pancras International.
40:13Are you sure?
40:15I'm 99% sure.
40:16Okay.
40:16So I'll go for it.
40:17Is the answer St Pancras International?
40:26Yes.
40:27Come on, now.
40:28Okay, come on.
40:28You're absolutely right.
40:29Right.
40:29So let's not rush this now, Renie.
40:31Drop zone two.
40:32Drop zone two, please.
40:33Okay.
40:36You ready?
40:37Release your first one.
40:37Oh, it's bouncing around.
40:45Come on, please.
40:47Is it going to get over the edge?
40:49Oh, my goodness me.
40:52Wasn't expecting that.
40:57It's probably a quarter of the jackpot counter over the tipping point.
41:00It's the weight of the counters in front men that went sideways, didn't it?
41:03We've got that lateral movement.
41:04We can be so effective.
41:06You've got another one now, Renie.
41:08Drop zone two.
41:09Number two, please.
41:10This could be the one.
41:18Now then, if that edge is the silver one over.
41:23Yeah.
41:23Is this it, Renie?
41:26Is it going to do it?
41:26No.
41:27Yes!
41:31Wow.
41:31Oh, Renie, congratulations.
41:36Look at that.
41:37Wow.
41:38All on its own.
41:39All on its own.
41:40Doesn't it look lovely?
41:40Looking glittery and gorgeous and glamorous.
41:43You managed to do that, Renie, with another category to spare.
41:46Absolutely wonderful game.
41:48How do you feel?
41:49Oh, I can't believe it.
41:50Absolutely wonderful.
41:52Wonderful.
41:53Enjoy your jackpot £10,000.
41:55Brilliant.
41:56Thank you so much.
41:57My pleasure.
41:57Renie went head to head with James and proved herself the master.
