00:00New York Mets. They're going to take on the Cleveland Guardians once again today.
00:03Williams will be on the mound, the right-handed pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians going up
00:06against Mr. Peterson, the lefty of the New York Mets. 923-924 on the rotation. A 110 start and
00:12a heavy favorite for those New York Mets. Minus 180s, minus 182s. Depending where you're shopping
00:18right now, you see that graphic, minus 174. Total of eight overnight, Joe, dropped to seven and a
00:23half. Peterson's got really good numbers. Not a hot-hitting lineup, per se, for the Guardians,
00:27but they're playing much better baseball than they have. And maybe looking at those Detroit
00:31Tigers, like we could chase them down. But more importantly, they're alive in the wild card race.
00:36No longer one of those teams that we thought would just be a pushover, even though you have
00:39relievers and pitchers suspended here that you would need. How about that? Could they come away
00:44with another victory today in flushing? Well, we talked about them yesterday and I really did like
00:49them in that spot against the Mets. The Mets don't hit lefties and Logan Allen outside of a couple of
00:56runs early, did a fantastic job, as did the bullpen. The Mets are struggling to score runs.
01:03The Guardians, quietly under the radar, Donnie, to your point, have all of a sudden played themselves
01:08into a wild card spot. And nobody's talking about them because it's either, well, where's class A?
01:16This team is really starting to come into their own. The problem with them is, like the Mets,
01:23they don't hit lefties well either. I think they're 25th in OPS versus lefties this year.
01:30David Peterson, 5-0. He's got a 2 ERA at home. This feels what a day off tomorrow, Donnie,
01:37for the Mets. This feels like we need to get one here. They need a win in a big way. And I think
01:45they'll, all hands will be on deck here to get this W, take the day off tomorrow and then head
01:51into the weekend and try and get something going. So I like the Mets in this spot. I don't love the
01:56price, but I can only look their direction here.
