00:00Craig, Craig, a lot of noise here.
00:02The fans have wanted Aaron Boone gone for years now.
00:05They pretty much want Steinbrenner to sell the team.
00:08They want Cashman gone.
00:09They want Volpe sent down to really the single A here.
00:12A lot of noise about the Yankees who have now lost five straight coming into today's game.
00:16Yeah, I mean, look, I think the Yankees are panicking a little bit.
00:20Fans are panicking.
00:21It just feels the same as every single year.
00:24I mean, when your best hitter goes cold and you don't have Juan Soto,
00:27I mean, this is the sort of thing that's going to happen.
00:30And so I'm not going to panic if I'm a Yankees fan.
00:33You mentioned the Mets.
00:34They've won a few in a row.
00:35Carlos Rodon starts for them Saturday, Max Freed Sunday.
00:39I mean, these are the matchups, you know, George, honestly, that you want if you're the Yankees.
00:43But the Mets are playing good baseball here.
00:45It's always a fun series.
00:47Yeah, so it should be fun.
00:49But I can't believe tomorrow's game is not on ESPN.
00:52It's not the night game tomorrow.
00:53And tonight's game is not on Fox.
00:54All right.
00:55It's actually a two-week afternoon game.
00:56It's just really shocking for the Subway Series here.
01:00The Yankees, you mentioned you got Rodon going today, Freed going tomorrow.
01:03You're going up against Montas today.
01:06Freed is going up against whatever, some rookie wild or whoever it is tomorrow.
01:10These have to be wins for the Yankees.
01:11You've lost five straight.
01:12You're 5-16.
01:14You last 21.
01:14I mentioned the first time in Yankee history that the bullpen has taken the L in five straight games.
01:20There's no one the Yankees can rely on out there.
01:23Not good.
01:24They scored 28 runs this week in the five games.
01:26It's 5.6 a game.
01:28That's enough.
01:29It has to be enough.
01:30How many runs do you want the offense to score here?
01:327-8 here.
01:33The Yankees are having all sorts of problems.
01:34Starting pitching, bullpen, defense, all been issues.
01:37Brewers and Marlins, I'll be on the broadcast today again.
01:42Back-to-back days for me.
01:43I think it was the first time back-to-back days I'll be on the broadcast this year.
01:45But Chad Patrick against Cal, Juan Patrick, George, one of those nice young pitchers the Brewers have.
01:53What a well-run organization the Brewers are.
01:55Man, every year they just seem to be right in it.
01:58And then Brandon Woodruff is back for the Brewers.
02:00He'll pitch on Sunday, George, against one of the hottest pitchers, not just in Miami, but in baseball, in Edward Cabrera.
02:09Tomorrow's the matchup, right, for the reasons you mentioned there.
02:12Cabrera's been great.
02:13Absolutely great.
02:14Will the Marlins move him by the deadline?
02:17I mean, you have to wonder right now, does he have more value than Alcantara, right?
02:20Because Sandy's pitched well again yesterday.
02:23So I wonder if E-Cab has the value there.
02:25And, of course, Woodruff making his first start this season.
02:28Craig, do you expect him to be anywhere near the Woodruff that we're accustomed to?
02:33Haven't seen him now in a couple of years.
02:35So do you think he's going to be that guy?
02:38Yeah, hard to say.
02:39I mean, it's probably not in his first start.
02:42But, you know, the environment is actually okay to be pitching in Miami for your first start back.
02:46But, I mean, hard to even remember those days with Burns and Woodruff and Peralta, one, two, three.
02:52I mean, we just seem so far removed from that.
02:54All right, Tigers and Guardians.
02:56George mentioned it.
02:58The Guardians are having a hard time scoring runs.
03:00We've got Casey Mize against Logan Allen.
03:03And then the marquee matchup, of course, of Tariq Skubal, the Cy Young Award winner already in July, probably, against Gavin Williams.
03:12Yeah, I don't think it's going to be a very good weekend with Cleveland.
03:15All right, especially not today.
03:16I think Detroit beats him up today.
03:18Skubal is – I assume he's going to start the All-Star game for the American League.
03:23I think he has been the best pitcher.
03:24He's fantastic.
03:25I think for a while he got a little bored, by the way.
03:27He was just pitching to the scorer.
03:29Pitching to make sure he wins the game, then move on.
03:31Had a great start last time.
03:32I think he'll be fantastic tomorrow.
03:34And he will be lined up.
03:36I think the pitch on actually normal day's rest, too, for the All-Star game.
03:39So, I do expect school will start for the American League in the All-Star game.
03:42Good weekend for Detroit.
03:43Not so much for Cleveland.
03:44All right, Astros and Dodgers will face off today with the matchup that everybody will be watching with Frambois Valdez, who's great for Houston.
03:53Again, George, you know, him and Brown, 1-2, are going to be tough to beat in the playoffs.
03:58Shohei Otani starts for A.
04:01It's, like, always the big mystery.
04:03We hear what he's going to do.
04:04Sometimes it actually happens, and sometimes it doesn't.
04:07I think the easiest path here feels, George, like two innings, right, for Shohei Otani.
04:12Maybe three.
04:13Like, the way that they're handling this is just, like, behind all these curtains.
04:19We just don't know.
04:20Sunday, no starters mentioned.
04:24I think Gordon's going for Houston tomorrow.
04:27Nothing for L.A. yet.
04:28It's rare that I, you know, I bet against the Dodgers last night.
04:32It's something I generally don't do.
04:33I'm someone who likes to run line for the Dodgers.
04:36And I can't remember the last time I've ever even thought about betting against the Dodgers back-to-back games here.
04:41But I'll be on the Astros again tonight.
04:43I think Otani will pitch well when it's two innings, and then that's it.
04:46They'll go to the bullpen, and it won't end up well for the Dodgers.
04:48Valdez will pitch great.
