00:10The assailants reportedly tied up two security guards before entering the house, with the
00:14witness sustaining injuries to his face and hand, reported the New Straight Times.
00:21According to a source, the attackers also warned him to just stay at home and not become
00:25a hero.
00:27Pataling Jaya Police Chief Shahul Nizam Jafar confirmed the incident and said a team from
00:31the Criminal Investigation Department was at the scene.
00:35However, the lead prosecutor in Lim's case, Wan Shahruddin Wan Laden, said the prosecution
00:40would raise the matter when the trial resumes on August 19.
00:45Lim is charged with using his position as then-Pinang Chief Minister to ask a businessman
00:49for a 10% cut of the profits from the Undersea Tunnel Project and accepting RM3.3 million
00:55in kickbacks.
00:57He is also accused of two counts of dishonestly misappropriating RM208.7 million worth of
01:03state land.
