11:15so far you've proven that you can perform acceptably on your own but to become the world's
11:26next drag super monster you're going to have to show us that you can also perform in a group
11:30and i think you all know what that means that's right darlings it's time for the ultimate dragula
11:41group challenge the annual drag monsters of rock floor show
11:50now this is a massive challenge so be sure to pay close attention my little headbanging hags
11:56for the first part of the challenge you will each need to create a monsters of rock solo look
12:02and it needs to be a magnificent monumental masterpiece we want to see volume so think big
12:09big hair big spikes and big makeup are the name of the game so look to iconic arena style rock
12:15monsters throughout history for inspiration along with big costumes this challenge will also have
12:24big consequences after the solo look floor show one of you will be immediately cut from the competition
12:33and will not proceed to the group challenge oh that's right one of you will be cut from the
12:43competition on the spot the rest of you will then be broken up into two bands and will be taken to our
12:53personal music producer's studio where you will have to learn and record real vocals on our new heavy
13:00metal track gods of death after that both bands will be tasked with putting on killer rock shows where
13:10you will all be lip syncing to gods of death for the biggest battle of the bands dragula has ever seen
13:19the group with the best vocals and best live stage show will not only win the challenge but will also have
13:26their vocals featured on the official worldwide release of gods of death good luck uglies and remember
13:35one of you will bite the dust

17:21so for monsters of rock this week my inspiration is david bowie specifically a costume that he
17:27collaborated on with kansai yamamoto i have re-envisioned this as what if ziggy stardust were
17:34a satanic glam metal album what i'm doing right now is designing the makeup look to go with it because i
17:41will be showing my human skin for the first time on screen and here i am taking some eyeshadow and
17:47and practicing the sort of draped blush technique straight on the paper and i mean think of it just
17:53as like a chalk pastel it's basically the same thing so for this challenge i'm planning of being
18:01a literally monster of rock those kind of monsters that you see and are covers for really huge and
18:08dark bands i'm using a lot of plastic a lot of liquidated so for the home set i'm actually using
18:18the floaties they're not heavy at all and you can increase the volume that you want and pretty much
18:25stay on your head my inspiration for my monster of rock floor show is kiss but sexy and i cannot wait to
18:35showcase this mohawk these mohawk pieces that i'm going to glue on my head are going to be the cherry
18:40on top of this monster of rock look with these hair pieces it's just foam that we hollowed out and
18:47then we just sprayed all these down with a little bit of uh hairspray and then i'm just gonna staple
18:53this or glue it or it's gonna magically appear on my head hopefully
18:57the energy in the lab is different today the look is more important than ever and we're all kind of
19:19taking looks at each other's and sizing them up can i pull you over to the cauldron we can have a little
19:24kiki i heard my girl fantasia say a little bit about her story with being arrested but i need
19:29her to elaborate i gotta hear this whole thing honestly like i've come a long way the road was
19:35not easy for me just like when i was incarcerated when i was younger i tried to write a bad check
19:41to get food and it landed me in jail in jasonville when you go to jail they put the trans people like
19:47in with the crazy people that is why yeah and you'd be in there with like other men and heterosexual men
19:53and all that kind of stuff honestly i was so scared of that place i was supposed to be on
19:57probation and i didn't report back so for seven years i had a warrant so i really couldn't get a job
20:03i couldn't get any apartment in my name i was living on the other people rules sleeping on the floor of
20:07other people houses and i finally got that time over with which i did four months and my life changed
20:14after that i was able to use drag as a platform to create a career and a brand and that's why you see
20:22me sitting here today you know a lot of my black trans sisters didn't make it yeah you know and i
20:27beat the statistics i know there's so many young trans women that look up to me and that's one of
20:33the reasons why i'm so happy to be on this platform and be visible for those girls and for queer people
20:39period you know just seeing like a black trans woman just be living her truth and just being
20:45authentically themselves just like is really inspiring to me her living her truth and telling her story
20:52will just show people what black trans women have to go through and i'm just happy that she's here to
20:56tell her story and inspire someone else here i am i've made it out on top honey and i'm so happy to be

24:59general you use this drag character as jk as a joke that i know deep down there's something deeper that
25:08we're not getting i get really really nervous just to let people in in general and i feel like
25:20it's easier to like make a joke of myself to let other people make fun of me to create this character
25:24that is just funny and silly and goofy because if people are laughing at me there's no opportunity
25:30for them to go behind my back and make fun of me so it's really hard for me to feel like i'm
25:34welcomed anywhere i think we all are that person everybody here are the oddballs of the group and
25:43we all have tried to fight our way through life if they got a glimpse into who you really were
25:49outside of the jokes i feel like we could all be closer you know instead of always throwing jokes or
25:56just like little jabs maybe just show you you know as embarrassing as it is to cry in front of cynthia
26:03i am glad i'm getting this out i do use humor to deflect because i don't want to give so much of
26:09myself to people that i don't know that well the only way that he can make things better is if he's
26:14just open and honest with us but we can't see that unless jk allows us to let me go get something

27:44Welcome to the first floor show of two in our epic two-part Monsters of Rock challenge.
28:11For tonight's show, our drag monsters must channel the rock gods of yesteryear by conceptualizing and creating arena-worthy Monsters of Rock looks and selling their looks to the masses here on the main stage.
28:25We're looking for big hair, big costumes, and big stage presence for this look and performance.
28:31And the consequences for failing the first part of this challenge will be equally large.
28:36But more about that later.
28:38Our first judge tonight is the only person I would trust to kill someone with me on the spot.
28:45She's the creator of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula, the sensational Swantula Boulay.

28:56And our next judge is my better half, the daughter of darkness herself, the dreaded Dracmorda.

34:37Well, Trak, let's start with your look.
34:39You're gorgeous, and I think you know it.
34:41But it's your attitude that's just blackened and rotted.
34:45Rotted to the core.
34:46It gives me a lot of character.
34:47And that's why you win tonight.

34:51OK, so let's talk about our tops and bottoms tonight
34:55and our versatiles.
34:56We saw a lot of shifting of the pieces tonight.
35:00And Monsters of Rock is always that crucible that shows us
35:03and separates the beasts from the babies.
35:05Yes.
35:06I thought Throb's look was interesting.
35:08Throb's performance was also great,
35:10but I do think they could have benefited from some editing.
35:14Too many gags, too many props, and not all of them
35:16went very well, so that definitely counts against Throb.
35:20I loved a lot of the references with this floor show tonight.
35:23And I think what Blackberry was doing
35:25was giving us a little homage to Paul Stanley,
35:27like with the star makeup, which I thought was cute.
35:30I want to know what happened with the hair,
35:32because the contouring was very strange.
35:34It just kind of like went up to the hairline and stopped.
35:37She had these big shoulders.
35:39And if you have big hair piled up around it,
35:42it really is not a good look.
35:44It makes you look very top-heavy.
35:45So you're saying you liked the bald?
35:47I think it was good bald.
35:48I think if there was something planned and it didn't work out,
35:50maybe it was for the better.
35:51But you had a big hair challenge with a bald head.
35:54I would drag bald.
35:55Yes, but I will say this.
35:57Blackberry was giving us like body, body, body, body.
36:00Oh, and I love to see it.

36:04And that's not an outfit that you can kind of like buy
36:07from a sex shop or something.
36:08You know, some of these girls can go out and buy this little sex shop
36:11outfit and throw a belt on it.
36:13Like they're good.
36:14Blackberry went out and designed that extreme thong look
36:17and she did it very well.
36:19Let's talk about Anna just for a minute
36:21because I really think Anna rose to the Monsters of Rock
36:23challenge tonight.
36:24I feel like we saw a different anaphylactic,
36:27maybe the anaphylactic that we were expecting at the beginning.
36:31And I think it's testament to the power of rats in your wig.
36:34Like rats in your wig will really wake a bitch up.
36:37I mean, I have to imagine that a rat pissing on your face
36:40probably will do something to a person to really change
36:44their perspective on what they're doing.
36:48I mean, the two people that sort of showed up in the bottom
36:50for me, I'm conflicted about who I think
36:53should go home tonight.
36:55One of them has been sort of quiet
36:58and just hasn't found their stride yet.
37:00But I know that they are an incredible artist.
37:03But then again, we're almost halfway through.
37:06And if they haven't shown up yet, are they even going to?
37:09And the other one is certainly more sloppy
37:12and their craftsmanship isn't necessarily up to
37:14the standard of the rest of the performers,
37:16but they have a lot of character and personality.
37:18And drive and charisma.
37:19And they are good performers, so I'm conflicted.
37:22I think it really is going to come down to how they do tonight.
37:26I agree.
37:27And on that note, I think it's time we bring in our monsters
37:31and begin Judgment.

37:50incorporated our feedback this week.
37:53And the growth here is very evident.
37:56As always, I want to remind you that we are not here to judge your drag.
37:59Drag is art and art is subjective.
38:02What we are judging you on is your drag as it relates to this competition
38:05and the challenges that we've put before you.
38:09Let's start with Cynthia.
38:13All right.
38:13So this look was solid and your performance was actually really strong.
38:17Consider the energy with which you perform,
38:19because you were giving a little bit of like five, six, seven, eight
38:23at the tip bar tonight instead of rock and roll.
38:26So I want to ask you to try to put a little more rock and roll energy
38:29into your performance for the main challenge.
38:32You are moving forward and can move to the back of the stage.

38:41Your performance was fun, sexy, energetic.
