Auburn Tigers defensive back Jay Crawford was a 2024 freshman All-American after being a three-star high school recruit.

00:01I've been using more of my feet, trying to use more of my technique.

00:04And then other guys just helping me and pushing me and being just like,

00:09you got to do this, you got to do that, you know what I'm saying?

00:11Like, your feet, you got to win with your feet, use your hands.

00:15Just like little small technique things that just to help get me better in the whole

00:20team in our room.

00:22Like I just said, my feet, I feel like last year I was spreading my feet a lot.

00:27So this year I've been just trying to work on my feet and then like,

00:30just like little weaknesses that I found in my game.

00:33I just been trying to better my craft and just get better at those things.

00:37Jay, how different does this fall kind of feel compared to last year after getting

00:41all of that experience?

00:42It feel very good.

00:45You know, we got a lot of offensive pieces this year that's going to help us.

00:48So I feel like, and then like people pushing us, like offense pushing us,

00:52we all compete in.

00:54So just, just like us competing and stuff like that, it just, it just like,

00:59it feel good to know that the offense going to have our back and we going to have

01:03that back.

01:04Like I said, all of us pushing each other is going to help the team.

01:08You know, if the corner is playing well, the whole defense is playing well.

01:11So using Perry, Cam, Malcolm, Lil E,

01:17all those pieces is just going to help the whole defense and help the offense.

01:21What makes an explosive receiver like Eric so hard to cover?

01:25I would just say his, his quickness, his shippiness.

01:28You know, you can't really get too many, too much hands on him.

01:31It's easy for him to slip, slip, like slip, you feel me?

01:35Duck his shoulder and stuff like that.
