00:00We finished up with the scrimmage last night, got about 120 plays in total.
00:07It was great to be in the stadium, it was great to be under the lights.
00:11It was a good crowd, high school coaches, recruits, player families.
00:17My first time in there under the lights, outside of just bringing recruits in there.
00:23And I think it was incredible for our kids, especially guys that have not been here.
00:30You got to see some guys step up, and it was a positive moment.
00:35You got to see some guys where the moment was a little bit big.
00:38And we tried to create that environment with what we did.
00:43And it's one thing to be out on a practice field, controlled environment.
00:47It's another when you're in the stadium under the lights, and coaches are off on the sidelines,
00:53and you're playing real football.
00:55And that's the thing, is there was a seven-day, seven-practice buildup to playing real ball.
01:01And we try to create situations, try to create drill work that replicates situations.
01:08But there's nothing like lining up and playing football, and there really isn't.
01:12And so the more football you play, the better you'll be.
01:15And it was really, really good.
01:16We just got out of a long staff meeting to really go through it one guy at a time and
01:24see where we are.
01:25And with no spring portal window, we got who we got.
01:28And so you're in a race against ourselves, like I said a long time ago,
01:34to get these guys as good as they can be, as fast as they can,
01:38and expediting growth with some young guys and perfecting a lot of crafts with some older guys.
01:44And you walk away happy about some things, disappointed about some things.
01:50And more than anything else, we know where we are right at this halfway point.
01:54And individually for these guys, and then by position for our coaches,
01:58where we got to grow to get to where we got to get by practice 15.
