00:00:06of episode 22 of Word of Honor. I have reasons to believe this one might have

00:00:13cute things happening in it, and I keep thinking about the fact that the daughter

00:00:19of Gaochong is, like, still out there kidnapped, and we haven't seen an update

00:00:23on her in forever, and I know why, but I'm, like, getting antsy about what is

00:00:28happening with that plot line. I can't remember if the characters were like,

00:00:33so-and-so is gonna take care of this so we don't have to worry about it, or what

00:00:38they last said about that, but I really want to see what's gonna happen with her

00:00:43because I really, I don't want anything bad to happen to her. I mean, she's- a lot

00:00:48of bad things have happened, but you know what I mean. So let's get right into it

00:00:52and find out what's going on. And we just ran into Guxiang and Cao Weining. Okay,

00:00:58together again, the whole family.

00:01:05Those robes are so pretty on her.

00:02:43It's so often that Wen Ke Xing gets, like, well he's getting mad at Gu Xiang for something

00:02:58that's the same as what he's doing, which is like getting close to a regular human,

00:03:04and then he gets mad at the immortal guy for like being sarcastic and cracking jokes that

00:03:08are very similar to Wen Ke Xing's jokes. There's definitely something to that.

00:03:25So can you! He's like, calm down, it's okay.

00:03:48That's an interesting way to put it, because at this point I do think they're not necessarily

00:03:53straight-up evil characters, and I think that we are encouraged to not necessarily consider

00:04:01anyone in the show straight-up evil, but their loyalties so far are a little confusing and

00:04:08uncertain, and I feel like we're gonna find out more about them soon. And they're the ones who have...

00:04:14I keep wanting to call her the Princess because I keep forgetting her name, but I don't know if her

00:04:18title is actually Princess. But they're the ones who have her, and we really haven't seen very much

00:04:25actual screen time of them. So they're like in this interesting place, but I'm curious what he

00:04:31meant by that, involved with both good and evil. Because in the world of the story,

00:04:37Zhou Zushu probably knows more about them than like we as the viewers do right now.

00:04:41I don't know if they're going to be able to find out what they're going to do right now.

00:08:00talking about who's behind it, but I don't know if they actually know that he was being

00:08:07Because that was obvious to us, and he was acting really weird, but I- there's a potential

00:08:12that- a potential for them to not realize that.

00:16:24Why would you, Wen Ke Xing, there have been a lot of scenarios where like, Zhou Zishu wants

00:16:32to keep one person alive to question them to find out what's going on, and Wen Ke Xing

00:16:36is like, oops I killed all of them, and I don't know how directly intentional it is,

00:16:43like if he's necessarily trying to not have other people find out more information, or

00:16:49if it's just such a matter of habit that he's like, oops, I, like if it's really an oopsie,

00:16:56because he might still be at a point where he wants to find out more about the plan without

00:17:02telling other people, because he's still implicated in the mix of stuff that's going on, and he's

00:17:08still hiding things and keeping secrets.

00:17:19I don't know why he's so angry and he's still there, huh?

00:18:32different sects are, like, putting on a front and they're all hypocritical because they

00:18:36do evil things too, and it's so complicated because that's true a lot of the time, but

00:18:45it's being used as, like, a justification, but, like, it's, like, of course the people

00:18:50in the Ghost Valley feel that way, especially some of the Ghost Valley members who have perhaps

00:18:56been placed there the most unjustly, if you will.

00:19:00And we still don't know, like, anything, anything about Guxiang's backstory.

00:19:06And I do think it might be significant that she happens to be, like, Wen Kuxing's maid.

00:19:13Like, I think that we're supposed to see, like, how many similarities they have.

00:19:20And this is a slightly different situation right now, I don't know how it's gonna develop,

00:19:24but with some of the stuff that's coming up about Guxiang's backstory in conjunction with,

00:19:30like, getting closer to a human person, I think it's significant that she's wearing a very

00:19:36similar color that Wen Kuxing had been wearing when we learned all that stuff and he was,

00:19:42like, having, like, a panic attack, basically.

00:19:45That it's that, like, light purple lavender, and for her this is, like, the only, like,

00:19:51costume change we've seen, I think.

00:19:55So I think that's, like, the show language of, like, we're getting deeper into stuff with

00:20:00her and she's still trying to put up walls right now, but I think it's, like, she's feeling

00:20:05more vulnerable or, like, is going to get a lot more vulnerable soon.

00:20:09I don't know who you know, Guxiang.

00:25:48had the zoomed-in camera view on him, so I... this makes sense. I just hadn't considered the fact

00:25:56that they were not. Like, of course, they were not privy to that information.

00:31:40But that's interesting too, because I...

00:31:43I think he has times where he's not aware of how much Joe Zishu, like, actually is aware of his thing.

00:31:53Because he thinks, oh, it's fine because I just, you know, gave a reason why I have this knowledge.

00:32:00And it's just my knowledge of certain figures from the Ghost Valley.

00:32:05And he thinks that he believed him.

00:32:08But in that scene, I think it was pretty obvious that he was like, nah, I know something's up and I don't buy that you just know this.

00:32:15So that's interesting.

00:32:17Whether it's misplaced hopefulness or just how he is, he's not always catching on to how clever Joe Zishu is.

00:32:29Or just like how much he knows and how much he's aware of.

00:32:33And there's also the fact that he has, over time, more and more, like, stopped continuously questioning.

00:32:42So he asked his question, he got an answer, and he's not the... he wouldn't confront him or be like, you're lying, or like, ask him more questions.

00:32:51He's just like, he's obviously not gonna tell me this thing honestly, and now I know more information, but he's not gonna reveal that he knows he's been lied to.

00:33:01And I know, like, we're gonna get a big moment at li- I'm pretty sure, like, at some point, when Ka-shing is gonna have his thing where he opens up to him.

00:33:12Because that is such a big theme in the show, that's such an obviously pivotal thing that needs to happen at some point,

00:33:20that I don't think... I don't think they're gonna have Joe Zishu figure everything out.

00:33:26Or, like, whatever it is that he knows at a certain point when Ka-shing is going to...

00:33:31He's gonna be in a position where he feels like he has to reveal everything,

00:33:36or he's going to, like, finally have things click where he wants to or feels ready to, like, actually open up.

00:34:33I saw some people online, um, talking about how their arc- certain things that Zhao Jing does, like,

00:34:41resembles grooming really well, actually.

00:34:44Like, they were talking about how somebody was like,

00:34:47I've never seen such an accurate portrayal of grooming in something,

00:34:51and I thought about how, even up till now, every scene I see with them together is, like, more tense,

00:34:57and I feel more, like, uh, okay.

00:35:00Because Zhao Jing is getting more tired of things that the Scorpion King does,

00:35:06and the Scorpion King is obviously just, like, he's trying to get his approval,

00:35:12and sometimes the Scorpion King is, like, impulsive.

00:35:16So he's not- he's not totally, like, in this thing right now where, like, whatever Zhao Jing says,

00:35:22he immediately will go and do, and he'll never do his own thing or go against him, if that makes sense.

00:35:28But I was noticing how, like, he's trying to get his approval,

00:35:32and slowly Zhao Jing kind of, like, gets more tired of him, I guess.

00:35:37But when I saw those comments, it, like, reframed some of the stuff for me,

00:35:44and I just, like, didn't think about that possibility and, like, didn't notice right away,

00:35:49but even as I've seen each scene with them as time goes on, the vibes are getting weirder.

00:35:55And so I was like, oh, when you put it like that, I can totally see it,

00:35:59and I'm not sure how things gonna- are gonna develop, but I feel like it's only going to get worse,

00:36:03especially now the Scorpion King knows about Tragicomic Ghost, like, saying his name,

00:36:09and that was, like, really upsetting for him.

00:36:12And- but it does- it- seeing that discussion, it didn't spoil anything for me.

00:36:17I didn't read about what happens past the episode I was at.

00:36:20It was just, like, these general comments, and I was like, that does reframe a little bit

00:36:26how I feel about the Scorpion King, because it does seem like he- he's very- he is or he was very powerful

00:36:33within his organization within the Scorpions, but in this, like, position he's in now,

00:36:39and when he's with Zhao Jing, like, he's not as powerful, and I think he is, like, fighting for approval,

00:36:47and just, like, from his perspective- I don't- I still- I don't know a ton about why the Scorpions do what they do,

00:36:54but thinking about that and thinking about how so many characters have been, like, reframed for us,

00:36:59I- it gives me a little bit more, like, sympathy for him.

00:37:03He's just trying to do things that make Zhao Jing, like, approve of him,

00:37:08and then there's also, like, jealousy and, like, these other feelings he's dealing with,

00:37:13and it kind of makes me want to, like, root for him a little bit,

00:55:52impulsive and emotional but we kind of see how like when we first saw him and he was displaying

00:55:58some signs of like being impulsive and emotional it was so easy to decide that he's like a bad guy

00:56:05bad guy but he's kind of unless we learn something else new in earth shattering he's kind of not really

00:56:12that bad and considering how many times we've seen him not be good at covering up his emotions i think

00:56:19i do definitely believe him that he didn't kill rong shuan with the poison and i think it would

00:56:25make sense if it was zhao jing but as many other people do in the show he just needs to cool it

00:56:31but you can really see how the wheels are turning in jose's shoes head as far as like he understands so

00:56:40much more of when cushing's like past and part of at least why he is the way he is and he is

00:56:49normally fairly calm and normally doesn't get super outwardly angry like that and when he does it

00:56:56usually has to do with him and he's it's like he's very much like he's he's trying to impress upon

00:57:11takes that extremely seriously about you know other people not crossing when cushing's boundaries

00:58:10stepping over boundaries because i think for him it's more about asserting that like i'll be there

00:58:57process for him as well but he's a lot harder to i guess he's harder to read in a way at least with

00:59:05what what we are given of the show as viewers he is kind of like an harder a harder egg to crack

00:59:13and so it's like okay where is he at in this like learning process of life that we all go through

00:59:20like where is he at in his character arc and i commented on things that he picked up on and he's

00:59:28so it's so important for him to respect like when cushing's wishes in so many different ways

00:59:35but that's like like that's a trait about him that we've seen for a long time so yeah i don't know

00:59:41all this all that is to say is like i feel like there is going to be some sort of like bigger

00:59:47character development-y arc for him and not just for when cushing but i kind of have no idea what

01:00:57trying to like start chaos and cause everyone to fight then part of that could be that maybe he does

01:01:03just want to like destroy ghost valley or at least get revenge on the specific people that might have

01:01:10hurt his parents but we need more context because we don't know who else was around and what led up

01:01:17to those events and i think we're i think we're getting in that direction soon
