Hello everyone and welcome to today's film. In the year 2525, if man is still alive, if woman can survive or in this case just get along with each other, maybe fight off some mutants and try not to get a heck of sunburn from all the radiation. Sunblock 5,000 anyone. Anywho, our film is from 1967 and called In the Year 2889 and it actually has nothing to do with the year 2889. I believe they got this title from a short story by the great Jules Verne. This film was actually made for T.V as a remake of Roger Corman's film from 1956 called Day the World Ended and produce by American International. Some might remember or maybe have known that one neighor who was stocking up on dry goods, water, survival tools, first aid items and thinking...what a crack-pot. Well say what you want but old man Ramsey ain't no crack-pot and yes I said ain't. Old man Ramse aka the captain, knew one day the skies would turn red, what he didn't count on was all those who didn't prepare and mutants and I'm not talking about the X-Men. Living with old man Ramsey is his daughter Joanna. Ah the young, they fall in love so fast. Staring in this tale of I told you so we have...Neil Fletcher as Captain John Ramsey, Charla Doherty as Joanna Ramsey, Paul Petersen as Steve, Quinn O'Hara as Jada, Hugh Feagin as Mickey Brown, Max W. Anderson as Granger, Bill Thurman as Tim Henderson and as that one mutant that you just love to love, Byron Lord. So sit back, get your sunblock, order that home fallout shelter kit from Amazon, let's make some Nuclear Lemonades because we're gonna need'em and enjoy. Also thanks so much for watching.
