Hello and welcome everyone. In today's movie titled Lord Shango aka The Color of Love from 1975. Ah, the 70s. Their was some really good movies in the 70s. We had The Wicker Man, The Deer Hunter, The Godfather, DeathWish, Alice Sweet Alice, Star Wars and then we had this classic. Classic you say, yah why not I say. In this tale we have a girl named Jenny. A single mother with a daughter named Billie. Now Jenny would like to have another child and no she is not married. She does however have a boyfriend named Memphis. He suggest that she get baptize, because that always works. On the day of the baptism Jenny takes her daughter with her and the so called minister wants to baptize her daughter too. This ticks off the daughter's boyfriend Femi and he decides to interrupt the service. It seems Femi is into a different religion, one called Yoruba. Well one thing leads to another at the baptism and Femi gets drowned. Well this doesn't sit right not only with Jenny but the members of Yoruba. As it is said in this movie..“The price of life is sacrifice”. But who will be sacrifice? We'll just have to sit back and watch. Staring in this here chicky chick, we have the lovely Marlene Clark, Ella Mitchell, Lawrence Cook, Avis McCarther, Bill Overton, Wally Taylor, Maurice Woods and John R. Russell. So before we sit back, lets make some Voodoo Daiquiris. Maybe make or buy some Voodoo Doll doughnuts or if you can't get those, then maybe make some Voodoo Fries. Thanks so much for watching.
