00:07The Seattle Mariners are in agreement on a deal to acquire third baseman Eugenio Suarez

00:11from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

00:13Sources tell ESPN the trade is pending a medical review.

00:17Huge news.

00:18We knew Suarez was going back, but I want to start here, Joe.

00:21Yesterday, I saw the starting lineup, which included Eugenio Suarez for the Diamondbacks.

00:25And I said to myself, is this the stupidest franchise on the face of the earth that knows

00:30he's not resigning with them, you play him and he gets hit with a pitch on a hand like

00:35he did two days previous and breaks a bone, you get nothing for a guy that is going to

00:40walk in the offseason.

00:42So at least he played yesterday and my goodness, did not get hurt.

00:45Now he's on the move.

00:46So the focal point is here, what the Mariners are getting.

00:49A big bat in that lineup, which we absolutely love.

00:53This now looks like a lineup.

00:54They go, ah, I'm just taking a ton of unders.

00:56You can't really bet team totals with the Mariners.

00:58They got some power bats in that lineup and a fun lineup to watch the rest of the way to

01:03see if they can track down the Houston Astros.

01:06Yeah.

01:06And purely a rental here because he is going to be a free agent.

01:10He did play there in, I think, 2022 and 23.

01:14Then he got shipped off to the Diamondbacks.

01:17But, you know, he's a third baseman.

01:19That's not exactly a great defender there, but he makes up for it with the power.

01:26And when it's all said and done, if this works for the Seattle Mariners and they actually

01:31make a big postseason run here and there's, you know, I'm sure the Rangers and the Astros

01:36are going to have a little something to say about this.

01:38But you put that bat with Naylor and Cal Raleigh.

01:42And my goodness, you have got yourself just as good a power hitting team than anybody does.

01:49And we know that you better be able to hit home runs in the postseason if you're going

01:53to be making a run of any sort.

01:55And right now they're poised, even in that ballpark, to hit some home runs.
