A warning this next story contains confronting content. South Australian Police believe some missing remains of Julian Story have been found. A member of the public reported finding a skull in scrubland this morning.
00:00Julian Story's body was found in an apartment he shared with his partner Tamika Chesser last month.
00:07Police arrested and charged Ms Chesser with his murder and in the days that followed scoured land and water around Port Lincoln for Mr Story's remains but without success.
00:16Police resumed the search last week but authorities didn't find anything and the search was called off.
00:22Police believe the missing remains have been found by a member of the public but forensic testing needs to be carried out.
00:28If it's not Julian Story then clearly we've got some other work to do but I believe that it is.
00:36It's understood the member of the public was walking their dog along this popular walking trail here in Port Lincoln when they found a human skull in the scrub.
00:44The person who was walking the dog has gone in to see what's going on and that's how those remains were discovered.
00:51It's grim consolation for Mr Story's family. His funeral is being held next week.
