13:24And seeing queens on this show who love what they do and express what they do with no fears, no regrets, no remorse.
13:31That's why I wanted to be on this show, that's why I auditioned, I wanted to be the new face of drag.
13:37I want to change what drag is about, I want to change where drag is going, and I see Dragula as the future of drag.
13:43They are making a whole new path for queer artists, for the LGBT plus queer movement.
13:50They're changing the world for our community, and that's what I want to be a part of.
13:55Growing up, I was obviously effeminate.
13:58And that was like the hardest part about growing up was someone labeling you something that you didn't even know or could have understand in that moment.
14:05Like you get called a faggot and you're like, why the fuck do I have to put up with this shit?
14:09And I would go home and like fucking hate myself.
14:11I hated myself so much on things that I couldn't even change.
14:16And when I would go home, I would just disappear in video games.
14:19I'd boot up like fighting games with these gorgeous Glamazonian women with like thongs and battle axes,
14:25and they would just kick the shit out of these douchebag guys.
14:28I was able to get my revenge in these awesome phenom characters.
14:34And when I first started getting into drag, I was doing it for fun,
14:38but then I realized I could actually be those gorgeous women that I always idolized.
14:43That's why I do drag and that's why I love art.
14:45Where I grew up and where I came from, I was put into a box and I was told I couldn't do things
14:50and that I wasn't allowed to be who I wanted to be.
14:53You know, if you have dreams and you have ambitions that you've always wanted to do,
14:59you have to be the one to do it.
15:01No one's going to hand you your dreams on a platter.
15:04You have to fight for it, and it's not going to be the easiest thing.
