00:00oh hello come on up all right hey what's up guys I am Matt from dance Gavin dance I'm Andrew

00:22thanks for coming up here and joining us right now we're currently out on the return of the robot

00:26tour our headliner we're out here with the band home team Belmont and dwellings we're in Chicago

00:33today just chilling and we wanted to show you guys our rig let's check it out so we should mention

00:41that this bus is literally brand new not only to us but just a brand new bus in general just

00:46literally rolled out of the factory like two days ago so we just got moved in so it's a little

00:52cleaner than normal I think the older we get the cleaner and more organized we are but typically

00:58it's not this pristine but it's still a good time let's live to show you guys yeah yeah we got the

01:04two TVs in the front lounge here typically movie night yeah I got our sports I know a lot of guys

01:10do the NBA March Madness yeah and we don't really game too much up here we do that in the back lounge

01:16which we'll get to but uh mostly yeah I'd say movies in general um kind of been into watching

01:23you know live concerts lately and it was a huge movie buff so if Will's got the remote it's movie

01:29night every night yep and he picks a bunch of weird shit yeah some obscure bullshit my favorite feature of

01:36this bus and it does have a slide out so normally there is a little more room but we couldn't put it

01:40out today but check these out it's got these sweet lazy boy style recliners here you just get right

01:51through it oh yeah plenty of space here yeah I'm not like a dickhead for just doing like this

01:58so these are all personal cabinets um they're a little touch touch and goes we just moved in like

02:05Matt said so we're still migrating some stuff over this one's my little guy I've got my supplements

02:09I've got my ohimby my rad 140 some creatine some pre-workout and you know some extra socks when

02:17you're got a rainy day coming on have those socks one cool feature about these cabinets that we had

02:23in our last bus too which was also new is when uh the bus is in motion they automatically lock

02:28so they're not like swinging open and stuff falling out like a lot of buses have that issue so it's

02:35it's definitely it sounds like something pointless but it really on the road it comes in handy

02:42especially with the other storage which is down here we've got these puppies this is john's nice uh

02:47clean what are these oh john's got three pairs of whoa some party glasses all right we're gonna put

02:56john's cabinet away here we'll open mine yeah oh oh we got some cozy slippers in here

03:03we got we got a nintendo switch controller uh i've been really into filming stuff and making really

03:10silly videos lately so we got the gopro but yeah typically we'll throw me personally i'll throw in

03:16you know a couple pairs of underwear shirts you know so i don't have to go in and out of my suitcase in

03:20the bus bays on a daily basis yeah we've got our table uh sometimes our tm will set up here do a

03:27little bit of work um most of the time like if we order food on a day off this is kind of our dining

03:32room area we have a separate bus for our crew um so they've got their own digs they've got their own

03:39layout on that other bus um this one makes it nice and spacious this one's just us in the tm yeah yeah i'd

03:45say yeah mainly like you mentioned usually we just eat you know when we get our food use the table to eat

03:51similar to the uh cabinets yeah we can get a little bumpy on these rides so you gotta have

03:57remote on the leash yeah it's crucial remote on the leash yeah also will's prone to lose remotes so i feel

04:03like this is a benefit well and in his defense i feel like even just at my own house i need one of

04:08those i don't know how often my wife and i are going back and forth have you seen the remote

04:11yep we've got good charging stations we've got our little kitchen area over here

04:18normally we'll throw some ice in this and throw some drinks some cold drinks um make a nice little

04:24drink station some more uh cabinet trees up here we'll keep like it's again pretty barren we just

04:32moved in but this will start stocking up over the course of the tour with utensils plates some

04:38protein some shakers and snacks um keep our tide pods for a quick snack on the go yep i do want

04:46to note this beautiful backsplash that they have here very nicely john and i use this religiously

04:54this is our little tea kettle and water warm up filter water with our throat coat some kombucha

05:01various utensils yeah we got the band bread uh we just live off of band bread now

05:08and you got your little uh your little trash bin in here so it didn't get too stinky let's check out

05:18the fridge there's a couple things in here already not too crazy red bulls um lately me and will

05:26specifically are really into the uh these teas um and then pickles of course gotta have your pickles

05:34yeah we get uh a large assortment of items on our rider um on a daily basis at every show

05:44um we get assorted chips um pickles as i showed you assorted meats cheeses

05:51we've been getting charcuterie boards um we get tea as you can see uh for john a lot of drinks i

06:01feel like that's our go-to yeah we're all sober none of us drink so um it's mostly it's red bulls

06:06energy drinks um teas oh protein shakes protein shakes a lot of gatorade a lot of sparkling waters

06:13uh some soda yeah yeah nothing too crazy um i've seen bands get like rotisserie chicken and like

06:20we did do a tour where we got rotisserie chicken and it got out of hand yeah it gets out of hand

06:25and it's just messy and then it ends up getting wasted yeah you get a chicken a day it fills the

06:29fridge yeah it's not good just carcasses everywhere i feel like the crew crew takes a lot of the rider

06:35but most days we'll we'll do the rider stuff we'll bring it on the bus we'll have like a consistent

06:40bus stock made the mts and then the rest goes to the crew and they just uh you know have at it

06:45yeah sometimes we'll get this like insane like just we'll have way too much deli meats and we

06:51got to say hey can we like not get deli meats for like a week because like we're just like over

06:55floats stock with meats it's cold cuts coming out of you not at the moment um oftentimes we'll store

07:06we got our base player loves these little crustable oh uncrustable the uncrustable yeah our base player's

07:12that's addictive that's popular uh throw them in the freezer pop one he had one on stage last

07:17night yeah yeah he's hooked it's gonna be a problem let's do the bathroom um so everything i should have

07:28mentioned on this bus is controlled by these little pads touch screens so the bathroom it's like some

07:35star trek open it up got the nice mirror pop that on beautiful lighting beautiful so no pooping on

07:47the bus uh no grinder but i would say even if it had a grinder we still we should we err on the side of

07:54uh no no twos on the bus yeah no number twos no thank you no thank you one thing too that we forgot to

08:02show off is the sweet rolls royce ceiling which does change colors and right now there's a spider on

08:13it yeah i saw that so pretty sick we'll let him live he's not hurting anyone come on back to the bunk lane

08:22we got 12 beautiful bunkies 12 bunks so you have the option of doing what are called condo bunks which

08:32would be two per area which we've done before and you can kind of you have more room to like sit up

08:38but we actually like the option of having the extra bunks either for we could put back or it's just like

08:45storage for our bags or we usually keep one two for like guests if our wives or like friends come out

08:52for a couple shows and they got somewhere comfortable to sleep um and we still have plenty of room like

08:59here's my bucket's still very untouched and clean sleep got your shelf here i got a shelf oh i got i got

09:06a couple gifts from some fans some bracelets you got your it's like a touch light you got your touch

09:12reading light here your fans gotta make sure those are open or you're gonna you're gonna have a bad

09:17time uh then there's a dick charger uh charging port in here and your tempurpedia mattress very nice

09:26yeah so yeah let's definitely talk about bunk selection and for for me everybody's different um i was

09:33a psycho like was before mentioned and used to enjoy the top bunk and then as i got older not like

09:40super super old or anything but um old enough to now getting in and out of it it hurts it hurts my

09:45knees and it's just like a hazard uh so i got lucky the the middle bunks are kind of premium real estate

09:53because you could like get in and out of them so easily yeah it's absolutely prime i for me i'm six

09:58five 250 so getting on the ground is not really an option and getting up is also very difficult so

10:04middle is like prime real estate will loves the bottom bump he just loves to just like

10:09go down roll in and yeah and that's i know a lot of people that that like the bottom bunk they feel

10:15like safer or you know they worry about rolling out or something um i have once or twice in my life had

10:23an incident where i fell out of the bunk it does happen i have fallen out as well and i'm pretty sure

10:28there's probably alcohol involved um but those days are done so i don't really worry about falling out of

10:34the bunk seven on the bus in the bunks um yeah six band members and then uh tm so at least five

10:41empty bunks we call them junk bunks um where we like i showed earlier we can just throw our backpacks

10:46in or whatever you know we accumulate throughout the tour um but yeah so we're we're pretty comfy on

10:52here we've we've done tours totally full um we even did a tour it was on warp tour in 2017 uh no the one

11:02it was the first time we did it is 2011 and we had two bands on one bus and uh 14 bunks total so a

11:11couple roses had four going and it was like literal coffins uh so to get from there to now just seven

11:19people on a bus it's pretty cozy cozy and luxurious come on back to the wear the magic hat

11:28it's a lovely back lounge uh this is where we usually set up uh like a ps5 steam deck switch

11:35do some gaming it's another two tv situation here so you load it up you multiplayer cross platform stuff

11:41another drink storage if you want some drinks in the back here load them up with some ice got more

11:47band storage all over the place um some more remotes then the cool thing here is the windows open up as

11:53well so you can do it's all electric let the windows out yeah we're enjoying the fresh air today oh one

12:04one thing i should say too uh on the last tour specifically and i'm sure i'm a little on this

12:09tour our back lounge typically yeah it's like the gaming hanging area but it turned into like a full-blown

12:14recording studio for the last tour this is where they wrote all the vocals and stuff for the new

12:20album that's coming out in september yeah yeah me john and will just sat back here on the falling

12:25universe tour and passed a mic around and demoed everything i set up here with my apollo and my

12:32my whole rig laptop and we just passed the mic around all right yeah we've even talked we're like man

12:38that'd be cool one tour to just ditch the back like furniture in the back lounge and just have

12:43electronic drum kit and like a full-blown studio and actually like write a whole album on on the road

12:49uh so hopefully like we'll get the opportunity to do that but i feel like lately when we talk about

12:55ideas like that we actually execute them yeah it's been a good role yeah yeah so when we game i feel like

13:03will's the biggest gamer for sure absolutely um by a pretty wide margin all systems all systems all types

13:09of games um he's very competitive when he plays which is fun uh but we've done we've done um like

13:16smash bros back here mario car we do mario party a couple times yeah very fun mario party's that's

13:21our that's minor match jam yeah yeah we love that like i love like those types of games collaborative

13:26games um what will bought forza oh yeah with the full steering system for the ps5 full-on steering

13:35system pedals and everything and uh we've we've hooked it up in a couple green rooms but it's

13:39definitely getting hooked up back here yeah 100 and we're all really shitty on it but it's hella fun

13:44yeah it is super fun um i'm usually like a steam deck guy so i'll play will introduce me this game

13:50called rim world that's really cool it's kind of like a strategy builder uh but yeah we definitely

13:54need to play more on this tour yeah and i i'm personally just a switch guy i love nintendo switch

13:59all the marios all the classic games i've been playing a lot of the remasters i just beat all

14:05six tomb raiders that came out and then uh i've been playing a lot of uh 2k21 pga golfing uh so yeah

14:16i i i i don't play a lot of really cool games but looking forward to the switch 2 we might swoop one

14:21up on this tour so we can play the new mario kart and stuff but yeah all right guys well thank you for
