00:00Langenfelder em pole position
00:02after his win in race 1
00:04he's got breathing space between
00:06himself and Adamo and Kai DeWolf
00:08after that
00:10victory in the first race, gates drop here
00:12DeWolf
00:14a bad jump
00:16for him, Valan
00:18gets to the turn first
00:20and he crosses the foxhole
00:22shot line
00:24for the first time in MX2
00:26So Braceres and
00:28Sasha Kunin get together there in the first corner
00:30put Kunin way back
00:32Adamo there in
00:34second position
00:36as we drop downhill
00:38so Adamo well placed, he'll look at Valan
00:40and don't think of him as a threat
00:42to what would be a potential race win for the
00:44Italian, but latter there in third, he was a roadblock
00:46in the latter stage of the first race
00:48holding up the likes of Adamo
00:50Kai DeWolf, Thibaut Menestong
00:52and anybody that's behind
00:54him at the moment will be mindful
00:56of that but look at Adamo sweetly
00:58up the inside there couldn't do anything about
01:00Mattis Valan but the Frenchman
01:02and the Italian here first and second
01:04very familiar with these types of circuits
01:06growing up on these types of places in their homelands of course
01:08latter third
01:10Langefelder in fourth, a good start for the German
01:12he won't be too bothered at this stage
01:14DeWolf though in ninth place
01:16Braceres just behind him in tenth
01:18as we work our way right
01:22the way down to the bottom end of the circuit
01:24for the first time in this second
01:26race, Valan here
01:28Kawasaki racing team putting some distance
01:30slight distance between himself and the
01:32Red Bull KTM of Andrea Adamo
01:34Valerio latter Honda HRC
01:36your race one winner in fourth, number 27
01:38and then he's got
01:40Carlos Rachelis on the 47
01:42Monterey Yamaha
01:44and the Monterey Triumph there 99
01:46with his teammate number eight
01:48Camden McLellan just behind him
01:50so those two six and seven then DeWolf in eighth place
01:52on the Nostar Nesvana coming down the hill in white now
01:54behind the trio of fluoro colored riders
01:56then Benestong
01:58kind of want to see how Langenfelder handles these first few laps
02:02if you remember in race one very patient
02:04let the track come in let the race unfold
02:06and then he kind of started dropping his lap times quickly
02:08he's gonna have some traffic to deal with this time
02:10but I just want to see if he has that same pace
02:12when he settles
02:14can he turn the lap times he was in race one
02:16well I'm sure he will know that he's 50 points clear at the moment
02:18and so from that perspective
02:20Simon Langenfelder
02:22he will keep an eye on Adamo
02:24think right well I'm going to lose a couple of points
02:26you know four points so it's going to be back to more
02:28more than where it was coming into the weekend
02:30he'll see that as a game
02:32therefore that sense of urgency
02:34won't be there in the same way
02:36that if you're six points down all of a sudden
02:38and you're looking to try and pull a gap
02:40yeah you know it just
02:42does he have that same pace because he was turning lap times
02:44in race one that nobody else could really even approach
02:46two three seconds of the race
02:48if he has that same pace
02:50he should be able to close this gap down
02:52but you see Valan and Adamo starting to
02:54trying to build a gap here especially Valan
02:56yeah they were trying to build a gap
02:58early in this second race because it's not
03:00often that Valan is leading let's say
03:02so he's pushing the pace Adamo wants to go with him
03:04whereas Simon Langenfelder with everybody else
03:06behind him on a circuit that was dry
03:08don't forget he was just happy just
03:10to build from there learn the track
03:12because we had rain yesterday and as
03:14Ferez looks to charge down the inside
03:16of Rachelis and succeeds
03:18moving into fifth place
03:20Camden McLellan will also be trying to
03:22find his way past the Latvian
03:24but going back to track conditions
03:26race one it was drying out from all that rain yesterday
03:28so everybody was very particular
03:30about how hard they pushed
03:34Camden McLellan also finding his way past
03:36the Yamaha man so line of stern for Ferez
03:38who's fifth and McLellan now in sixth
03:40Camden McLellan now in sixth
03:44so he did have that patience didn't they see him on Langenfelder
03:46where he just thought you know what let's grow with the track
03:48and I think he'll do the same thing here
03:50you see him closing in on Latter here as we come uphill
03:52this is third and fourth Latter and Langenfelder
03:54don't think he's too worried about Matisse Valan
03:56he's not in the fight for the championship
03:58and if he finds his way past the 18
04:00on the number 27 then of course
04:02Adamo if he doesn't pass him
04:04he's only lost two points down to 48
04:06that's better than when he arrived
04:08no
04:10and he'll win the Grand Prix as well
04:12sure you just don't want to leave any points
04:14on the table if possible
04:16and on a day like today where he's riding this well
04:18if he could get near the front and go 1-1
04:20it just puts so much pressure
04:22on the other two championship wise
04:24just seeing one or two drops of rain
04:26threatening once again
04:28as they have been for the last 45 minutes or so
04:30coming in from the same way
04:32from over there in the west
04:34blowing this way towards the east
04:36Valan 150.7
04:38the fastest lap of the race so far
04:40he's three seconds clear of Adamo
04:42this is a battle for third
04:44Langenfelder needs to be mindful of the fact
04:46that he doesn't get too close to the rear wheel
04:48of the Italian ahead of him because he could just trip himself up
04:50very very quickly
04:52brave to go around the outside there
04:54but he committed in the end
04:56and he's going to have to go the long way around here as well
04:58pulls it off
05:00moves into third
05:02Langenfelder on the move finally
05:04yeah, you see Latta trying to counter
05:06I think Langenfelder wanted to cut back underneath him
05:08but Latta braked early
05:10then he was forced to go to the outside
05:12so a little bit of cat and mouse there but in the end
05:14Langenfelder makes a pass which felt a bit inevitable
05:16but he didn't get stuck behind Latta for another three or four laps
05:20like everybody else has
05:22and here's a quandary now
05:24a dilemma for Kaida Wolf in seventh
05:26you get parts of the racetrack where you can look ahead
05:28and see what's what
05:29he would have seen Langenfelder there in fourth
05:30he all of a sudden looks up and sees
05:32that the German has cleared the Italian
05:34and moving on into third and gaining on Adamo potentially
05:36that puts the pressure on him now third in the championship
05:39so a lot of work for Kaida Wolf
05:41but Mattis Baran continues to lead
05:43Langenfelder only four seconds down on Adamo
05:46and looking good for the Grand Prix
05:49the two monster energy triumphs here
06:03Ferez and Camden McClellan fighting over that fifth place
06:06she put the flag out now
06:08Mattis van Aan stands on the top step of the podium
06:10with a third and a first
06:19working our way towards the end of lap four then
06:25lap three
06:26Van Aan continues to lead
06:27his lead has been slashed
06:281.4 seconds
06:29Adamo closing in thick and fast
06:31Langenfelder up to third
06:32Latta down to fourth
06:33he's under pressure from both triumphs of Ferez
06:35and McClellan in fifth and sixth
06:37DeWolf lurking dangerously
06:39ready to pounce in that seventh place
06:40on the number one the defending champion
06:42Rachelis Benison and Braceres
06:44they're your top ten a quiet lonely ride in 11th place for Sasha Coonan
06:47and he's got some work to do
06:48he's outside of the top ten in 11th place at the moment
06:5112th for Jens Walvoort
06:52and then we got Mikula there in 13
06:54Mikula the local boy
06:55he was 12th in race one
06:57and he's going to be eyeing up
06:59what 12th overall in the Grand Prix
07:01if he stays where he is
07:02hypothetical for you
07:03hypothetical yeah
07:04would you rather
07:05would you rather Adamo make the pass
07:09which gives you the overall of your Langenfelder
07:12or would you rather him stay second
07:14and keep get the points gain
07:16or I guess Adamo wouldn't gain as many points on you by moving to first
07:22Adamo needs the points doesn't he
07:25he needs the points so of course
07:27he's going to want to chase that race win
07:29but for Langenfelder what would you prefer here
07:32Langenfelder
07:33because if Adamo gets him
07:35yeah yeah yeah
07:36Langenfelder gets the overall win
07:37yeah yeah yeah exactly
07:38but in terms of the championship
07:39I don't think you know
07:40you can you can finish third
07:41and still extend your points lead
07:43you know what I mean
07:44in terms of the overall championship classification
07:46but here
07:47and when we're going to see that as well
07:49it's these two now
07:50the rain falls
07:51on lap four
07:53Matisse Valam
07:54yes he's on the top step of the podium
07:55tied with Simon Langenfelder
07:56Adamo third
07:58another seven points further back
07:59in that overall classification
08:01but as it stands right now
08:03as you said you know
08:0450 points going in
08:05it's only down to 48 at the moment
08:06so 43 at the start of the weekend
08:08even if it stays like this
08:10or even if he gains another three points
08:13goes out to what 45
08:15yeah
08:16he's still two points better off
08:17so would you rather have 48 and the win
08:19I would you know
08:20I would just rather take as many points as possible
08:23Andrea Adamo swips around the outside of Matisse Valan
08:30who tried to launch his way back down the inside
08:33but Adamo closing them off
08:34the Red Bull KTM rider leads on lap five
08:37the Frenchman now being pushed back to second
08:40that will give the overall Grand Prix
08:42to Langenfelder
08:43so Andrea Adamo here quickly finding his way into the lead
09:01Adamo then lead in the way Red Bull KTM factory racing putting some distance and here's how we did it at the end of pit lane he turned around the outside of the Frenchman who went too defensive and he committed to that bank didn't he launch his way down there climb into the lead
09:08and that was Adamo into the lead and he's already two seconds clear before the end of the lap
09:36Então Adamo está olhando para a race win, Langenfelder está olhando para o overall Grand Prix victory
09:41Langenfelder está olhando para a split de dois Red Bull KTMs para o primeiro podium em segundo overall
09:46A lot going on aqui com 20 minutos plus 2 a go
09:50Even os dois triunfos estão em
09:52JT, put your money on esses dois
09:54Eu não sei se você tem o último episódio de Behind the Gate, Hope and Glory
09:58Mas há um grande banter entre eles
10:00Camden McClellan joking about the amount of times that his teammate tucks the front and goes down and bits and bobs
10:08You know what I mean? Great banter, great humor
10:09They're on the racetrack now though fighting for every single point
10:12If you're a brave man again, putting your dollar on the line
10:15Who would you bet between Perez and Camden McClellan?
10:17I would bet on DeWolf panicking behind them and trying to make a pass
10:20But no, honestly, both of them need this type of ride
10:23So, yeah, hopefully for the Triumph team, they both stay up
10:28Well, look, Matisse Valland here, who's led for a few lapses, picked up a foxhole shot as well
10:34He's going to be second overall if he stays where he is
10:36And that's going to be a first ever podium for the young French rider in his rookie season
10:41Lisa Leyland is down in pit lane now
10:43Getting ready to talk to Antti Piranen, the team manager of Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP
10:48Let's hear what Lisa has to say and the thoughts of Antti Piranen with 20 minutes to go
10:53Antti, Valland has been strong all weekend
10:57He got the foxhole shot
10:59He's not only going for a potential podium, but a potential first overall of the season
11:04Is he going to be able to keep his emotions in check and fight back?
11:07Yeah, he's been doing great
11:09So, very important was the good start
11:12So, he executed those which is very important on this track
11:16And riding superb
11:18So, let's keep it on the ground, but if he ends up on the podium, it's like incredible for us and for him
11:24Best luck to the team, thank you
11:26Yeah, it would be in his debut season in MX2
11:31Of course, when you think EMX 250, the amount of times that... I mean, there were only three riders last year in that EMX 250 championship
11:38Him, Valerio Latte and Cass Volk
11:41They won every single race between them
11:43I think they pretty much took all but one or two podiums as well between them
11:47It was a very, very high level EMX 250 championship last year
11:51Mattis Valando and Latte and Cass Volk
11:54That championship last year was only 10 or 11 rounds
11:56You're coming into a 20 round series
11:58A lot more traveling, a lot less time in between GPs to rest and recover
12:02That's a shock to the system and its own
12:04But to come out here now, round 14 of 20
12:08And finding your best form of the season
12:10That's pretty impressive from the new kid to the class
12:12Well, and I think about the team as well
12:15There's a first year 250 effort for the team
12:17So, development and getting everything in place to come out and perform to this level
12:21With a rookie in MX2
12:23Says a lot about everybody involved in that
12:25And couldn't happen to a nicer guy
12:27Ansi's one of the good guys in the paddock
12:29Kyda Wolf, a couple of laps ago
12:31You fented the chances of the Dutchman on the Nistan
12:35Husfana Ryder
12:36He's closing in on both the triumphs
12:38His, Sasha Kunin
12:40Tiago in with his bike again
12:42Well, front end just high
12:43Just on the turn after the finish line
12:45He's there in 10th place at the moment
12:49Sasha Kunin eyeing up
12:51What, 5th overall
12:52He was 2nd in race 1
12:54Didn't look comfortable in that 2nd place
12:57Well, did he?
12:58He was constantly fighting the whole time
12:59Just looked like he was hating life
13:01Meanwhile, Kyda Wolf down the inside of Camden McClellan
13:06As he splits the 2 triumphs
13:08Moves up in the 6th place
13:09Well, 5th place now
13:11Untidy through there though for the number 1
13:16That gives you an indication as to how hard he's working
13:19And his golf buddy sides him up on the exit of that turn
13:22Still plenty of work to do for the number 1, Jason
13:24Nothing's come easy for DeWolf today
13:25Nothing's come easy for DeWolf today
13:26Nothing starts the racing
13:27Yesterday he hit
13:29He seemed to have more pace than everybody else
13:31In muddy conditions
13:32Today he just hasn't been able to move forward
13:34And you can see the gap that Adamo has over DeWolf
13:37And theoretically they should be fighting for this race win
13:40Look at this here, very close
13:43Andrea Adamo, your race leader
13:45And you're pretty much blindsided coming down that hill as well
13:49You're focusing on the braking bumps at the bottom of that steep descent
13:52Then you find that rut
13:53And all of a sudden it's like, whoa, okay
13:55Yes, you're aware there's a yellow flag somewhere
13:57But trying to sort of focus on that
13:59And that downhill and that tight left turn
14:01The slowest corner on the racetrack, not easy
14:03That was incredibly close to a crash
14:05Incredibly close
14:06When you're front wheels facing up the wall
14:08In that position right there
14:10He could have very
14:11So great job by him
14:12For being able to respond that quickly in a blind spot
14:18DeWolf
14:20Was this plan D or plan E now as he goes after McClellan?
14:23More like plan F I think
14:25This is not
14:26This is not how I dreamt this day
14:27I was
14:28Make the pass
14:29Parks it down the inside
14:30That was commitment
14:31Because he didn't just double his way
14:33And try to turn
14:34He doubled and landed long
14:36And went straight at the bank
14:37Knowing that's exactly where the line would be
14:38Of Camden and McClellan
14:39So aggressive move that from DeWolf
14:41He'll probably feel that
14:42That was definitely necessary
14:43Because of the way that
14:44McClellan came back at him
14:45A lap ago
14:46After he made the pass
14:48For that fifth place
14:49But DeWolf back in that fifth position
14:51Once again
14:52Now going after Ferez
14:55Not a lot wrong with those triumphs is there?
14:56No
14:57No the tough part
14:58You see aggressive pass
14:59The good part of that is he breaks right?
15:01As McClellan wants to cut back under him
15:02You have to break right to the right spot
15:03And block that
15:04The tough part of this day though
15:05Is as we sit
15:06It's back to 60 points down
15:08And we know he has a couple of great racetracks coming up
15:10But 60 points
15:11That's way too many
15:12Yeah, yeah
15:13He's lost all of the momentum he had coming out of Finland
15:14Yeah, yeah from 70 points down to 48 wasn't it?
15:17Getting 22 points and then all of a sudden he's back out to 16
15:20Not ideal
15:21Yeah, when you're running out of time is the problem, right?
15:23The calendar becomes your biggest enemy at some point
15:26Yeah, and of course we don't know what Australia will be like
15:28Whether it's a hard pack track or sand track or you know a bit of both
15:30Or whatever else
15:31Whether it's hilly or jumping or jumping or jumping or jumping or jumping
15:32Or who is going to favor?
15:33China apparently is a new trek as well
15:34So no one has experience of that
15:35Turkey we know what that's like
15:36But yeah, certainly the races that we do have here in Europe
15:39Where we check Republic coming to an end
15:41Belgium, Sweden and the Netherlands and Turkey
15:43It's going to be better than today
15:45But yeah, it's going to be better as well
15:47In the the most part of the world
15:48We know what our world is going to be better
15:49We're going to be better
15:50We know what we are going to be better
15:51We know what our world is better
15:52Because the world is going to be better
15:53Yeah.
15:54If you are going to be better
15:55We know what our world is better
15:56That's going to be better
15:57That way
15:58If you are going to see
15:59Our world is better
16:00e Turquia, vai ter que haverá algumas performances de DeWolf se ele tiveram uma olhada agora no 1º lugar.
16:21Estamos trabalhando para o ponto baixo do circuito.
16:30Simón Langenfelder ganhou no Valin, a 50.5 last time around, 52.3 for the Frenchman.
16:47So Valin in danger of losing that second position, will it cost him a podium?
16:52No, he'll still be third overall, but that'll be two more points back for Simón Langenfelder
16:57in the greater scheme of things.
16:58Yeah, those are important.
16:59But, you know, we talk about these gaps and come down.
17:01If Langenfelder could get to second and have a 1-2 type of day,
17:05even giving up a couple points in this race, too, to Adamo, that's such a strong rebound after.
17:11And we talked about it all week.
17:12Everybody was wondering, can Langenfelder do this?
17:14Is he going to kind of crack under the pressure here?
17:17This would be a resounding answer to all of that.
17:20Yeah, and when you think of, yeah, you get points for your qualifying race on Saturday,
17:23you know, 10 for a win, 1 for 10, and 1 point increments on the way down in between.
17:28But overall in the Grand Prix classification on Sunday, Simón Langenfelder on 45 at the moment.
17:3325 for a win.
17:34Third, which is where he is at the moment, 20 points.
17:37And Adamo, who was, what, fifth in race one, 16 points and 25, that's only going to be 41.
17:42He can't do any more than that, whereas Langenfelder can move to 47 by moving to second place in a 22-point haul.
17:49That's the gap.
17:50He makes a mistake here at the end of pit lane, but that gives an indication as to how hard he's pushing again.
17:55So the first part of his race has been very perfectly balanced.
17:57Watches here.
17:58Just comes in hard, a little bit off balance.
18:00You can easily tweak a knee or an ankle with a move dab, with a dab like that.
18:04But he is pushing for two more points.
18:09He's already got the Grand Prix victory in his pocket if he stays where he is, but he wants more.
18:13Kai DeWolf finds his way past Ferez, and he moves up into fourth place.
18:35So DeWolf on the charge.
18:37He's got clear track ahead of him.
18:43But here's DeWolf.
18:55And this is how he did it.
18:56Look, round the outside.
18:57He'd already found his way past McClellan, down the inside here of Ferez.
19:01Put himself in that commanding move, doubled his way in perfectly, and then just went straight for the outside.
19:05Didn't even go for the inside there.
19:07That's how aggressive he had to be to move into that fourth place.
19:13But Ferez, still under pressure.
19:20So, it's 10 laps complete.
19:42Andrea Adamo is continuing to lead here.
19:45Under pressure from Langenfelder.
19:53That gap down to 1.4 seconds.
19:56DeWolf up to fourth.
19:59Nine seconds down on Langenfelder.
20:02Ten minutes to go.
20:04Lap times could swing in favor of DeWolf.
20:091.52, 1.53.
20:11So, he does have time to find his way past Langenfelder.
20:13That'll do him and Adamo a world of good.
20:16But, look how close Langenfelder is to the inexperienced, inverted commas, rookie of Mattis Valand.
20:23Yes, he's won a lot of races in EMX 250.
20:25Different kettle of fish.
20:26Having a fantastic Grand Prix.
20:28Qualifying race win yesterday.
20:29Third in race one.
20:30He's led race two.
20:31He's there in second.
20:32He's eyeing up his first podium.
20:34You can't say enough things about Mattis Valand.
20:37But, he's in that situation now for the first time where that podium is on the line.
20:41And pushing like this where he's never had to probably at this pace.
20:45Because you do push harder when you're in these kind of positions.
20:47Yeah, you're taking risks.
20:48No question about it.
20:49And I think, you know, for Langenfelder, you see another mistake there.
20:52He has to be mindful of DeWolf coming from behind him.
20:55And also trying to make a quick pass here as well without making a mistake.
20:59So, there's a lot of challenges.
21:01A lot of things they have to process all at once.
21:03But I think Langenfelder's in a good place here.
21:05As long as he doesn't see DeWolf closing ground too quickly,
21:09he can be patient and try to find a smart place to pass Valand.
21:12And he does have time on his side as well, doesn't he?
21:14Time is his friend at the moment.
21:15Nine minutes.
21:15But little mistakes where, after pit lane a couple of laps to go,
21:18where he just lost balance and you can lose a second.
21:20All of a sudden, that gap comes down from nine to eight.
21:23And a back marker can cost you a second.
21:25Eight to seven.
21:26That gives DeWolf the impetus then.
21:28And if you get held up here.
21:29Because we don't know how Mattis Valand's fitness is at this stage.
21:32Is he just starting to tire as Langenfelder's getting stronger?
21:37And if that's the case, does he slow the pace down ever so slightly,
21:41which allows DeWolf back in?
21:43Wave Jellos there.
21:44Ryder down.
21:45Both Ryder's heeding the situation there, I think.
21:49Yeah, that's unfortunate for Langenfelder there.
21:51He had a chance to possibly make a move.
21:53But when that yellow flag comes out, you saw him back it down.
21:58So bottom end of the circuit, once more.
22:00Beniston has moved up to the sixth place briefly.
22:02And then McClellan goes back by him.
22:04So those two fighting over that sixth position at the moment.
22:08For Langenfelder here, he has to kind of make a plan.
22:10You know, he has to think about where is a pass possible
22:13and try to set that up.
22:14Get as close as possible coming in to that section
22:16and then make it all happen at once.
22:17We've seen how difficult it can be to pass
22:19on this racetrack this afternoon.
22:22Riders outside the top ten at the moment.
22:24Debra Becerra is in 11th.
22:25Jens Wolvoort is 12th.
22:26Mikola 13th.
22:27Carsmakers 14th.
22:28Lionel Reichel 15th.
22:30The 199 of Peter Ratusky of Czech Republic
22:33finds himself in 16th place ahead of Valentin Keys.
22:36Martin Van Hoda, the 466 of Janut.
22:40And then Smulders, Scott Smulders there in 20th place.
22:43Weather is playing ball at the moment.
22:48Yeah, we've had one or two drops of rain,
22:49but nothing that's changed the conditions
22:51into something drastic.
22:53Meanwhile, look at the triumphs coming back towards us here.
22:56Perez and McClellan starting to escape
22:59the clutches of Thibaut Benistan.
23:01McClellan, that's his chances down inside.
23:04Oh, I tell you what, he almost had a rib into the elbow,
23:06an elbow into the ribs of the Spaniard there.
23:10It would have been tapas, wouldn't it,
23:11on the left-hand arm there of McClellan.
23:16Same corner.
23:18These two definitely sizing each other up,
23:21and that's what allowed Benistan to get past.
23:26But then he found his way back by again, didn't he?
23:29That's why Thibaut Benistan is still there in 7th place,
23:32because McClellan found his way back past the Frenchman.
23:36Try and keep it clean as best you can.
23:42Be some nervous faces and mechanics down there
23:45in the pit garage at Triumph.
23:48As those two continue to tear strips off of each other.
23:51Langenfelder back onto the rear wheel.
23:53Still looks quite assured, though, doesn't he?
23:55Langenfelder, I don't think he's panicking too much.
23:57No, no, I think he's sizing him up.
23:59He's trying to find a way around,
24:01but the key here is to be right behind him.
24:04The only passes we've seen is right when you're on a rear wheel,
24:06a small mistake, a better line, you can go right by.
24:09But if you're sitting back where he is now,
24:105, 10 bike links or so, nothing will happen.
24:13Yeah, Langenfelder, 5th overall in his home Grand Prix
24:16when he arrived there as a championship leader
24:18for the first time this year in MX2.
24:21This is as good as a home Grand Prix,
24:22but when you're not on home soil
24:24and you're just over the border,
24:26that'll be a nice way to repay the fans back
24:28that have travelled, not just here,
24:29but also went and watched him in Teuschenthal.
24:43All those rounds are going near towards the halfway stage
25:06of the championship campaign,
25:07so Langenfelder on the top step of the podium
25:09as it stands right now
25:10with 5.5 minutes plus 2 laps to go.
25:13With that win in race 1,
25:163rd here potentially in race 2,
25:18Valan looking at a 3-2 for 42 points,
25:2020 and 22 for a first ever career podium
25:23for the Kawasaki Racing Team rider
25:25and reigning EMX 250 European champion.
25:29Andrea Adamo would be 3rd overall.
25:31In fact, Adamo...
25:34What happened there then, Valan?
25:36There's the move.
25:37Yeah, there you go.
25:38Langenfelder found his way past right on the line.
25:41Langenfelder moved up to 2nd.
25:43And Valan now getting pushed back to 3rd.
25:46That pushes him down to 3rd overall in the classification as well.
25:48Promotes Adamo to 2nd.
25:50But a good effort for the Frenchman, 317.
25:53I just wonder where Valan's energy level is this late in the moto.
26:01He's been fighting for a long time today.
26:03Yeah, right on the finish line here.
26:04Look, around the outside there.
26:06Half a wheel in it as they hit the line,
26:08but he had the commanding line in the next turn.
26:10Held tight.
26:13Still had some work to do there because of the different lines look, but...
26:17Last of the late breakers, Simon Langenfelder.
26:21Stronger, fitter.
26:22And therefore, a little bit more confident as well in executing that move.
26:25So, Langenfelder now in a second.
26:28A lot of fight left in Langenfelder there.
26:30We see Valan kind of letting go a bit.
26:32Just body language shifting.
26:33Battle going on here between Sasha Koonen and Carlos Rachelis.
26:59Rachelis in 8th, in 9th now,
27:02because Sasha Koonen has found his way past.
27:10Here's how he did it, I think.
27:14That was amazing.
27:16Yeah.
27:17Made it look a little bit easy there.
27:19Yeah.
27:24So, Sasha Koonen then with a clear bit of track.
27:27Didn't make a great start this time around.
27:28And obviously, he's been fighting, fighting, fighting for every single point.
27:31Here we go.
27:31Look.
27:32Bottom end of the circuit.
27:33Parked it down the inside of the Latvian.
27:36Ran wide.
27:36Still wasn't clean and tidy, was it?
27:38That's just his style.
27:41No one could ever accuse Sasha Koonen of not trying hard.
27:44No, absolutely.
27:45Heart on the sleeve and all that.
27:5054 of Werner going through.
27:53He's outside of the points at the moment.
27:54The young German, the young German, the young German, Max Werner on the Gabriel SS 24 KTM, Sean Simpson's team.
28:03Been unlucky with injuries this year as well, hasn't he?
28:05So, just trying to ride his way back into contention and all of that.
28:10But here's Sasha Koonen into eighth now then.
28:13And Thibaut Beniston was in seventh place.
28:16But Beniston, I tell you what, this is going to be ugly if he goes down here.
28:21Oh, loses the front.
28:27Oh, it was a slow one in the end.
28:29We've seen riders like Geiser go down hard on the wave sections there in the past.
28:35Beniston picking himself up quickly in that seventh place though.
28:37Adamo continues to lead.
28:4210.7 seconds clear of Langenfelder who put his best lap in last time around.
28:45Half a second quicker than the Italian.
28:47Doesn't really matter.
28:48He's going to leave here gaining six points today on the Italian.
28:54And Valan is going to be third overall.
28:57McClellan finding his way past Guillem-Ferez now as he moves up into fifth place.
29:01Here's how he did it.
29:03Bottom end of the circuit stepping up into the city jump.
29:06And that's all she wrote for McClellan.
29:28Matis Valan heading uphill past pit lane.
29:32Let's have another look at the start then.
29:34Right at the start of the race, shall we?
29:36Through the middle.
29:40Matis Valan on the Kawasaki with his first foxhole shot of the season.
29:44Let's run the inside of him on the number 18.
29:46Adamo and Langenfelder right there.
29:48A few riders sending themselves sprawling around the first turn.
29:54Valan, look how straight he was.
29:55Hanging off the back.
29:56Quick look to the left.
29:57Make sure he can get across the Italian.
29:58And a perfectly executed start for the Kawasaki rider.
30:03Yeah, well, that's had a great jump there.
30:04Look at Cunan here.
30:05That's where his start went.
30:06He got stuck behind Braceres there.
30:08Braceres made a big mistake.
30:09And the cost of Cunan pretty penny there.
30:14So Valan then, Kawasaki racing team.
30:17The foxhole shot winner for the first time.
30:18And eyeing up a podium here for the first time in MX2 as well as a rookie to the class.
30:29He has around five and a half seconds on Kaida Wolf.
30:32As the clock starts to tick down, just keeping an eye on it, down to zero.
30:43So the two-lap board will go out to Adamo this time around.
30:49Sasha Kunin is eighth in the race, fourth overall, but he's five points down on the Frenchman in the overall classification.
30:59But it's been one of those, well, very workman-like Grand Prix for Sasha Kunin and JT.
31:07Yeah, and he's a rider that does well from the front.
31:10He's a great starter.
31:11That's where he feels the most comfortable.
31:13And when you put him in 20th on the first lap, it's just that is not his M.O. for success.
31:19Valentin Keyes there, the wild card rider, said he aimed to get points in both races.
31:24Well, he got points in the first race.
31:26He's currently in 17th in race two as well.
31:28So not bad for the wild card rider this weekend, who is 17th in that first race, normally riding in EMX 250.
31:34But Andrea Adamo had a very up-and-down race in race one.
31:38Didn't make the best start, got himself into seventh, was there for a few laps, then promoted himself to sixth,
31:42then got dropped back down to seventh again before eventually coming home in fifth place
31:46after sort of putting a rocket up his own backside with the last four laps,
31:50where he performed some of his best work in that first race.
31:53This time around, a good start behind Mattis Valant.
31:56Didn't take long to find his way through to take over the lead.
31:59And from there, he hasn't looked back, has he?
32:02Ten seconds clear and iron up a race win and the second step of the podium.
32:08And that will be back-to-back seconds because he was second overall in Finland,
32:11which actually, in those kind of conditions, was as good as a win for Adama.
32:14Yeah, just watch Adama.
32:15His lines are really good.
32:16He's kind of getting out of the bumps.
32:19He's getting into some areas where there's still traction.
32:22And he's not falling into the standard line everywhere, cutting underneath the ruts.
32:28Just like the way he's flowing around the racetrack right now.
32:31Kyla Wolf, it's been one of those GPs.
32:33We mentioned it earlier.
32:34You mentioned it earlier, Jason.
32:35But, you know, from 70 points down to 48, and then all of a sudden back out.
32:39But it's not going to be 60 now, is it?
32:41Just looking at the timing screen.
32:44But he was looking that way for a moment.
32:47But all that hard work undone this weekend.
32:49Yeah.
32:50Just, I still, still a tough day.
32:53You know, really tough day for New Wolf.
32:54Not ideal for Adama.
32:56You just, you can't afford for the points to go the wrong direction.
32:59That's it.
33:00Because you're running out of GPs as we head into August and September.
33:03Sand riders, when we head to Lommel, obviously, Kyla Wolf, we know.
33:06Captain McClellan can ride sand pretty decently.
33:12Carlos Rachelis just missed a podium there last year in the sand at Lommel.
33:17There's obviously going to be the likes of Jens Wolvoort and people like that.
33:20Kyla Wolf is going to be hoping for all these riders and more to get in between himself and Simon Langenfelder.
33:26But Langenfelder, no slouch in the sand either.
33:28Yeah, and he's been putting in the homework, going and racing.
33:30So, you know, German national championship races in the sand against the 450s.
33:34He's trying to shore up the skill set to go battle against the Dwarf.
33:38And even if it's a five-point loss type of day, that's okay.
33:42That's completely acceptable.
33:44What you can't do is go to the sand race and lose 20 points.
33:47Thibaut Beniston has found his way back onto the rear wheel of Guillem-Ferez on the final lap here.
33:52The number nine Monster Energy Yamaha rider all over the back of the Monster Energy Triumph.
33:55This is for sixth place.
33:58Remember, Thibaut Beniston fell.
33:59He tipped off the side of the bike towards the end of the lap a couple of laps ago.
34:02Went in that seventh place as he was challenging both the Triumphs.
34:07Both riders cross-jumping there.
34:11McClellan has escaped them in fifth.
34:13Ferez under pressure in sixth.
34:14Meanwhile, Adamo, nine seconds clear at the head of the field.
34:17He's going to be cruising to his sixth race win of the season.
34:23And back-to-back second overall finishes in the Grand Prix.
34:29Simon Langenfelder, though, second in the race.
34:31It's going to be the top step of the podium for Langenfelder.
34:37Adamo working his way down towards the finish line.
34:40He wins race two.
34:42Six race wins for him.
34:43But Simon Langenfelder crosses the line.
34:48He wins here in Czech Republic with a one-two.
34:53His fourth Grand Prix victory of the season.
34:58And, of course, he leaps here with more points than when he arrived.
35:03Win-win for the German.
35:04It is. It is. Again, talk about it.
35:07Every GP that goes by, if you keep the status quo,
35:10if you have a big points lead, that means job done.
35:12So, Adamo, Langenfelder, Volant, DeWolf, McClellan, Ferez just hanging on.
35:18Three-tenths in it between him and Benistan
35:20as they cross the line there in sixth and seventh.
35:23Sascha Kunin, we wait for him to come over the line in eighth.
35:26He was about 13, 14 seconds further back.
35:28There he is on the Red Bull KTM.
35:30It will be ninth for Carlos Raceless on the second of the Montreality Yamahas
35:33and Valerio Latta under HRC.
35:35We'll round out your top ten.
35:38We'll give you official confirmation shortly,
35:41but it should be Bracera S11,
35:42World War 12,
35:43Mikola, Carsmakers,
35:44Raichel in 15th return.
