00:05Yeah, yeah, there's a lot, even off the field, building that trust.
00:09You don't need to have that trust when you get on the field.
00:13So when we just hop on the field, it's just I know what he's thinking.

00:19So it's just not even thinking about too much and just playing ball at that point.
00:23Do you get advice to your high school self?
00:27Advice to my high school self, just keep going.
00:30Don't let anything block out the noise, you know, you're gonna hit some adversity in the road.
00:34But you know, just stick through it and God got the best for me.
00:40Makai, there's been a point of emphasis to keep kids in the 26th class in California.
00:44You being from Southern California, do you feel like an extra sense of pride playing for USC?
00:49Yeah, definitely.
00:50You know, coming to SC, it means a little bit more since I'm from here.
00:53So, you know, to keep the guys, you know, from California going to SC and then staying in Cali, you know, local, it means the world for sure.
01:01What would your message be to kids from California in the 26th class and future classes as well?
01:05Yeah, I would say there's no other better place to play, you know, college football.
01:09You got the best of every world, you know, it's great schooling, it's important, you know, it's a great living area.
01:15You know, you got a great program, you know, and it's a great alumni around you.
01:20You got you in good hands, you know, you don't got to worry about too much.
01:23So, you know, I feel like, you know, come here and live all your dreams.
